  • Gosh, do you have to be so good? =P

  • Nice....really good stuff.

  • thanks

  • Excellent tutorial, now I'lll going to have a go myself!!

  • Some nice pictures you got there at the end. I'm always having trouble with finding nice background textures, does anyone have a very nice site with many textures that I could use? Ow, nice motion blurring btw, have you made a tutorial about that? It's always nice to know how it works, if you have pictures with people showing some kind of movement. For instance the rugby player, you put some very nice motion blur on that

And the eye of the tiger picture, it's funny, it looks like he is farting.

  • Thank you for posting this! Very helpful!

  • awsome^^

  • you plan on coming out with any new tutorials? I hope you do, this is still one of the best, simplest tutorials on youtube and you didn't even use video capture. 5 stars.

  • thats awesome

  • you mate you made for OCC a photo for fire bike? Youv done a great job!! And tnx for this video

  • great creations

  • nice work, and clean image quality as well, thanks

please check out some of my videos as well, thanks

  • nice video

  • That eye of the tiger is bad ass man!

  • That helped a lot. Thanks for the information.

  • with the lasso tool you have to trace around the image with it yourself thats why i use the magic wand initialy then clean up with laso

  • how do you insert in image not as a back ground, but just to put on top of the original picture.

  • Open another image file and drag it into the the current file. Drag and drop.

  • another way to do it is to go to your menu and select 'Place', i think this may only feature in the CS versions

  • awesome work sir...

  • @FlashAcesDesign ye mine dont work like that well ill try it again ty x

  • @CambodianLove Or if you open the image in photo shop, just double click on the layer, and it will ask you to rename it and stuff...

  • good job

  • Dunno if you've found out yet, but i had the same problem, and i thought you might want to know;) all you've got to do is right click on the lasso tool, and select the polygonal lasso tool.

  • WOOOOOOOOT

this is exactly wat i was looking for!!!!

    FINALLY!!!

  • nice pic

  • .Yes you have to trace it yourself.Choose the polygonal lasso. If you are on a Mac hold down the "alt option" key while you move the mouse it will turn to a slightly easier to manage version of the lasso tool because you can let go of the mouse button when you need to.

  • brilliant work thanks for posting this

  • Great video. I have some tutorials that can help also

  • great video ur a pro dude thnx

  • change the...man whats the word for it..units per...ahhhhhhhh...ok across the bar on the top u can change like the sensitivity of the tool...it changes like how it groups the pixels together

  • You just have to take your time and be accurate, theres no real shortcuts here =/

  • Just Right Click on the lasso tool tab and select poly

  • try holding the lasso tool button then go on magnetic

  • Neat layouts and effects.

  • great job, love the steeler's one!!!

  • Great Job dude

  • how do you get to the layers pallete

  • awesome work man!

  • i know im gonna sound like an idiot but, how do you get an image on a separate layer (not background)?

  • actually I was wondering the same. lol.

  • im farily new to photoshop myself, but i would guess...

    create new

new layer (plus your background layer thats already there)

draw a square for the pic while the background lair is highlited... and open the image there. itll show up as a pic on the background lair... just try it i guess. good luck :)

  • hey, are some of those tools like plugins or upgraded becuase i dont see the polygonal lasso as well as a few other tools in your video as wells as other peoples

  • at the bottom of the layers box there are buttons, just find the new layer button click then then select the new layer and paste the image on it

  • this is great.

  • anyone else having a hard time paying attention to what hes actually saying

  • absolutley amazing skills and the tutorial was great very helpfull to me thanx alot :D

  • I have a question about the magnetic lasso tool in Photoshop 7. It worked fine in my old computer, Windows ME. Now I have to use it in **cough** Vista. What happens is when I start tracing the image, sometimes (heaviy on sometimes) the traced part will end abruptly for no reason and cut out a part I never intended on removing. Ever have that happen to you??

  • hey man great tutorial really worked!!, i shall be using this all the time,

could you plz tell me what software u are using to capture this video ?? it would really help me out so if there's any chance of you telling me could you respond.

  • can you teach me on to do that kind of effect like in the picture of candy keane, monroe, and angela fong? pls..tanx..

This way works well as well though :)

  • thats helpful!thanks

  • awsome man

  • ei, can you use photoshops withOUT a graphic tablet?!?

  • Excellent tutorial. Focused and explains everything, w/o assuming the dummy who watches (that's me) knows PS (that's me 2). Job WELL DONE!!!

  • The layer that i want to not be the background is the background and i can't change it, how to i avoid this problem?

  • wow. great tutorial, thx very much!

  • Hey you got mad skills indeed i'm just getting into the Photoshop World for my own promotions for my projects. Just wish you could have shown how to get those effects? Like the fire some of the brushes and how to effectively use the Laso Tool. Other than that keep it up

  • well he probably would have if he wasn't specifically talking about layers...

  • You're my hero!

  • Thanks, that was helpful.

  • Ok....it doesn't tell you how to make layers though. I'm a complete newbie so have no clue so have not found this any help at all

  • ctrl+shift+n for hotkey - New Layer.

At your layer box, the one which only contains background in your case, there's an button for a new layer.

Also, you can make one by going to the top to the Edit/Image/etc. buttons, one of them has new layer as well.

Though the hotkey should be fine.

Be sure to do Ctrl+shift+n though, ctrl+n makes a new picture instead of just adding an layer.

  • click crtl+shift+n for a new layer.

  • Great work mate....looks fantastic

  • i love the steelers!

    im from pa <3

  • that was very helpfull.thx and hi from Romania :)

  • Jacks tech corner helped me more but still very good
