@kinsley2108 because the ability to deal with very minor changes in wind change decrease significanly. You can go in a completely different direction with just a slight gust.

Its all good on a nice day, with no wind but you could fly a paper bag well in those conditions.

@gmanzeroalpha Yes but that's why different aircraft have different limits and a good pilot will not fly into crappy weather. Smaller planes fly for a shorter period too so weather changes are not normally that drastic. If they do happen to change quick, the weather service will know about it.

you wouldnt believe how small jet engines are becoming. a jet engine of only 24"x12" is enough to fly a small airplane. just think about the fact that an airplane uses less materials to manafacture than a family car. my hope is to see community airports becoming more popular for special small family aircraft. the more popular we make aircraft the cheaper they will become. after seeing that james bond stunt plane you realize just how little materials are needed to fly

Its called a Cri Cri.Its a french experimental that is very robust in construction.The only problem with this aircraft is the wing loading.You must fly it in low wind conditions.

Don't dismiss this as a cheap flimsy toy. I know at least 2 airline pilots who used it to log some cheap twin command hours in order to further their careers. A 'normal' twin e.g. Duchess or Seminole costs about $250-$300 an hour to hire.

The "cricri" is a French homebuilt. There's about 150 of them flying all over the world and they are, in fact, aerobatic. Now, whether this "cricrii" we saw on the ground is the one in the air is unknown. they should have shown him taking off or landing or something so we could settle this once and for all. Still, the actual plane is real and is aerobatic. Also, we saw a few others on the flightline, I wonder if it was some kind of gathering of Cricris for a show of some kind.

Just catch the frames at certain points and look up close. Hey If I saw the guy in the plane right up close and going down the runway where you could see him I would say its him. But there is no where were it actually shows him taking off. I stll say the CG would be off so much that there is no way he would be able to fly it. Hey guys I stopped and started that video over and over again looking for things on that plane while it was in the air. The plane in the air is blue and silver. The one the guy was ridding in was just silver. That is not the same plane in the air. If you don't believe it; just stop the frames and look up close at it.

You can believe what you want; ever who wrote the email to me; but I know enough about planes and flying them; that I know he isn't flying that plane. No where does it show him up close on the runway or up close flying it and doing the stunts
