  • i remember watching this show. it was magical! (in more ways than one). i love watching dvds of it and reruns to this day. I just loved Liz and Aunt Clara

  • Does anyone notice that Jim Carey kind of looks like Dick York? He'd be perfect to play Darrin, if there was a remake. :)

  • i miss this show and i wasn't even born when this show was on and cancelled!!

  • I loved Bewitched, the only thing I didn't like about these episodes was Samantha drinking alcohol when she was pregnant in real life. I guess back then they didn't know the dangers of fetal alcohol syndrome.

  • @Sheri451 the doc's used to think a drink or two was ok. and generally in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, it is. if the mother is having uterine irritability, doc's often reccomend a drink or two. years ago, if women were having preterm labor, they used to give them iv alcohol drips. and they would be drunker than hell. my doc told me to drink a beer or a glass of wine, during my last trimester with my youngest. he's 12.

  • @Sheri451 She wasn't drinking alcohol. In an interview Elizabeth Montgomery said that if she drank even a glass of wine she wasn't able to twitch so she never drank on set..

  • William Asher also directed the "I LOVE LUCY" episode in December 1952 where Lucy tells Ricky SHE'S having a baby, during his nightclub performance...I'm sure Asher must have remembered the sentiment involved and "moment of realization" on Desi Arnaz's face during that scene, when filming this one.

  • When Samantha found out she was Pregnant the second time with Adam was during the York yrs on Bewitched toward the end of the 1968-69 season. But the York's "Darrin" never addressed the pregnancy the last few shows before he departed. Then Sargent took over the role and still it's funny since no explanation to why the switching of "Darrins" had taken place, Sam was carrying York's "Darrin's" Baby.. I also think Agnes Moorehead liked York more than Sargent.

  • @NFitalianGuy The first actor resigned from his hospital bed. He had a back injury before doing the tv series.

  • Think of it... If it wasn't for Sam being pregnant, Sam and Darrin could of been split... wow....

  • Sam is beatiful!

  • Dick York was amazing as Darrin & fans really liked the chemistry that he & E.M. had When York left the series due to his back injury. The Producers replaced him with Dick Sargent, the rating really took a tumble from the fall of 1969 to the last aired show on July 1972.s What surprised me was that Dick York never saw or spoke to E. M. again after he was rushed from the set to the hospital. He told Bill Asher he had to leave the show. York tried contacting E.M but she never spoke to him again.

  • @NFitalianGuy Actually he did call her about a few weeks before he died. She was really busy at the moment so they really didn't get a chance to speak much.. That's what I heard in an interview of his.

  • I know he called her & she was really busy. I love E.M & just was disappointed that she knew he had to leave the show then had to deal w/the pain, lost everything, had 5 kids. The Yorks cleaned houses, collect bottles&cans for money. His manager & agent didnt add his income to SAG pension fund from Bewitched. He had dealt with his back pain, then getting Emphysema. living off family. She could have called him backim sure she heard he was bad off. I just wondered if she liked him while on the show?

  • @NFitalianGuy I think she liked him... You can tell from when they switched that Liz and York had a lot more chemistry then Liz and Sargent. She wanted to move on with her life though... She thought it was better to look towards the future then to look back in the past.. I do really feel bad for York tho, but think of it, if he was never hurt, he prolly wouldn't have done as much for those charities. He said so himself.

  • @JamJam2014 Well said JamJam, you are right, York really did a great job for the homeless. They said that the kisses between York's Darrin and Samantha were very frequent but When Sargent took over, fans didnt see them kiss as much or as passionately. I read that in the Bewitched Forever book, which is a great addition to owning the 8 seasons on DVD.. Herbie Palato is the author..

  • I wish the videos were longer

  • That would be so cool if the show I dream of jeanie jeanie has a babY!

  • why can't TV of nowadays be this good! TV nowadays sucks!

  • She should have told him about the baby... then she goes home and leave him there looking like a fool and a jerk. witch he deserves for being a hothead.

  • @Astraldragon1 After all he went through that day/ throughout their marriage, he reacted reasonably.

  • I just love these old episodes and the first Darin.

  • that so cute!!!!!!!!!

  • i love sam

  • I love them and this show

  • hermosisimo!

  • thanks!
