i need help, i am new to fly fishing , i bought a new rod a few days ago. but the only problem i have is, when i go to cast i cant get my line straight on the water!!! it always goes in a pile on the water.

I'm the only one in my circle that can do a 80ft cast and I guarantee you that's not how you cast. If your dropping line to troll, sure this will work. But if you feed your line out the tip like that and think your ready to cast you need to go to casting classes.

hmm, obviously you've never heard of false casting?

It's the same principle as false casting tho and it's a good way for beginners to understand that principle in the first place. Plus it's good for places where you don't have a lot of back cast room behind you. I'm pretty sure he HAS heard of false casting...... :)
