@TheShenmoki well for one thing it doesnt even have a true use because it is so advanced. F-15s do fine in the current gen, we also have enough of these highly expensive jets and found a better solution the JSF.

That's a nice sentiment and all, but I'm fairly confident in the capabilities of the F-22 the way it is now. The UK and the US do both benefit from each other, but you can't blame the US for wanting to keep its premiere advanced tactical fighter for itself, at least for now. There are too many conflicting political agendas withing the US alone, without adding in those of the UK.

i for one would have loved for the UK to come aboard for this development...after all they are our distant cousins, even if we do not acknowledge it :) IMO, our techno, is there technology,,IMO..

dunno, but if it was up to me i would definitely have the uk involved in our technology. hell i would go so far as to say they should have been included into the f-22 design and such. i believe if it were up to us, i for one would love our cousins included into this project.

Yeah its barred now but theres lot of people in congress who would rather export to allies...and if it brings in the big bucks what the hell lol...Australia and Japan have been the only ones to show interest anyways...mainly cause the price tag.

MiG and Sukhoi have the falling out of the sky part down pat, skyraptor, and are superior in that respect to the F-22. No airshow patrons watching an F-22 demo have had to flee for their lives like those watching Russian-made equipment have had to, that's for sure.
