  • Hi, how can i use the double pedal?? if the left pedal is busy, because i use open hi-hit... thx

  • @MrLostWizard u set it to the double pedal kit and the left pedal becomes another bass, no hi-hat control it's just open

  • @DaddyDrums1 kk =) Thanks for help, and then it has got a same rock tam-s and crashes??? paralell when i use the double pedal function?

  • @MrLostWizard just search YouTube for "hd1 double bass", u can hear what it sounds like

  • Is that the Roland amp for the HD1 ? I'm looking to buy the kit and was glad to see the kit can handle some abuse. Well done.

  • @Danzigmad yes it is, and thank you very much :)

  • Finally someone else uses traditonal grip besides me and Stewart Copeland! Traditonal grip will never die. People like you and me will keep it alive!

  • daddy's a good drummer

  • @15381472 - thanks bud :-)

  • no offense but u dont play rock music holding ur left stick like that u only play like that on acoustic music but still good

  • Traditional grip, Hmm. Interesting.

  • haha looks like your totally banging the heck outta them drums!! very nice dude, keep up the good work!!:)

  • @k0edu2lumby - yeah, it can be a workout when u want it to be. thanks a lot k0ed :)

  • Man you rocks:-) I always wanted to play drumms but never tried it. Now when I see how much fun you're having... well I bought new MTB for having fun in summer and now it seems clear what I will buy for the long winter. All best from the Czech republic.

  • @Hromptak - thanks a lot Hromptak! It is definitely one of the funnest things to do, I hope you enjoy it. :-D

  • ooh traditional grip! nice job man, I want to get these some point down the line, they look ridiculously cool to play.

  • @Xepher85O - thanks xepher, u will like them. i was amazed at how fun they were to play when i got them :)

  • this kit i find myself isnt that good but for $800 is good enough one huge problem is the pedals there like a rock band pedal which i hate and also if ur a more of a recording kinda person this kit isnt for u unless u have a good thing from ur computer or some shit like that but if u want good sound quality and have a low budget i would recommend the TD4s

    haha lol Youtube Comment Review

  • @halonerd04 - i wouldn't disagree, but it doesn't take a lot of space and was real easy to move. I've moved on to the td-9sx though.

  • How long do you play? You are awesome btw ;)

  • @WrongTargetGR - thanks a lot target :) I played for about 6 years in high-school and college and got back into it about 14 months ago.

  • this is the very best kit for beginners, although im not a beginner, I own it and it's very decent

  • great drumming, mate! gonna buy this kit myself soon.

  • @eirik22 - thanks buddy. i think u will love it - that kit got me back into drumming :)

  • Anybody playing on the HD1 and who has ferrets is a-okay in my book! Props from another HD1 drumming ferret owner! :)

  • @furhooligan - wow, that's funny. thankyou brotha, and keep drummin' :-)

  • do u recomend the Roland hd1 for begginers??

  • @felipecampos12 - yes, it's a great practice kit for beginners as well as experienced drummers.

  • Veryyy tight, awsome playing ! :D

  • @lauriecanner - Thank you very much Laurie, it's a great song :-)

  • Do I spy a ferret? :)

Oh! And nice drumming, for sure :)

  • Good eye - it's a virtual zoo in my house!

    And thanks a lot :-)

  • it would be perfect if the sound would be better :D, all in all nice cover

  • Thanks a lot zabo - i have to agree about the sound. i'm now playing on the TD9-SX and recording straight into the computer, so the sound is a lot better on my recent covers.

  • alright.. so i look forward to hear a better audio quality of a foo fighters cover, hopefully :)

  • Ha! That's funny - I'm uploading Monkey Wrench as we speak - should be out there in about an hour.

  • wow very nice.

  • isn't there some kits the same as this but aren't they cheaper? but i hear they have worse sound? can you tell me name of this kit if someone knows?

  • This is a Roland HD1 kit

  • awesome man ur really gd keep up the good work and im thinking off gettin this drum kit but what is the best things about this drum kit as i have only played this drum kit once

  • It is really easy to set up. It is very light-weight and has a very simple control module for switching kits. It also has a pretty high quality sound. I wish they hadn't wasted some of the kits on voices or junk industrial - with only 10 kits, more drum variations would have been better. But overall, especially for the price, it was a great kit - u can adjust the volume for practice, plug in an iPod and play along... lots of fun.

  • You are too good!!! Great cover one question would you reccomend me buying this kit? i've been playing for 3 years (though my video is from ages ago) and im on grade 4 and really wanna go all the way is it good enough?

  • For the price, this was a great kit. It had solid performance, took up little space and i could adjust the volume to play whenever i wanted to without blowing everyone out. I've since upgraded to the TD-9SX. So it depends on how much you want to spend but I played a lot of songs on the HD1.

  • That was really cool. This might seem like a dumb question. But, would you consider gigging with one of these?

  • Believe it or not I probably would in the right situation (small venue or club). The sound is good enough and the setup would be super easy. Just plug it into the right amp and you'd be ready to go.

  • You are awesome dude :D

    ^_^ Good Job

    Subscribed!!!!

  • Thank you very much! This one is a lot of fun to play.

  • Good performance Daddy, from beginning to the end!!

i'm thinking about td-3, this kit also sounds pretty good..

    Keep going'..

  • Thanks a lot Heren. Roland definitely makes some good kits.

  • ROCK ON DADDY!

  • Thanks Idle, I will try ;-)

  • If i understand the question, as long as you have electricity.

  • very nice man, i think you forgot the bass on 3:24 on the last snare, not a problem at all, i liked your performance from the beggining to the end. Keep it up.

  • Thanks Linkin!

  • played wrong

  • Oh no, i'll have to kill myself.

  • Hey , im sorry about that comment it was my friend , my youtube account is always logged in , i am also a drummer and you did a good job on that song well done :) i am thinking of getting the roland HD 1.

    Subscribed :)

  • Haha! I actually did LOL when I read this. No worries, and I think u will like the HD1 if u get it. Happy New Year :)

  • Happy New Year to you also!

  • hi there, i'm considering picking up drumming, but i live in a not-too-big flat, so i was looking for a small drum set, an electronic one. roland hd-1 looks great, but could anyone tell me which other options i sould take into account, considering quality, price and size. thanks

Great Cover, by the way, and great song choice. foo's ftw!

  • I think the HD1 would work pretty well in that situation - especially size-wise. Almost any electronic kit would do since you can adjust the volume or just go with headphones to keep from bothering the neighbors. Check out "KunoichiDrummer" - she's a beginning drummer and she went with a Yamaha kit.

  • can you do an all that remains song

    (it will REALLY test ya)

  • Woow, that left hand is so old school. Stunning performance, congratulations ;)

  • Thanks a lot Timothy and yep... i'm giving away my age with that grip :-). I'm starting to switch back and forth with the matched grip - it's just more versatile.

  • Overall I am very happy with them. I have been playing a lot more because they r versatile enough to integrate into the home. I wish they hadn't wasted kits on voices. I would also liked to have double crash cymbals on a kit without losing the 2nd ride tom to a cowbell. And i could do without the plastic sound on the cymbals. But all in all, very glad i bought them - outstanding home practice kit.

  • im getting the hd 1 too im vary happy i cant wait and is there anything u dont like about the kit

  • I kneel down to you. You're amazing! 5* subbed.

  • Hey, thanks a lot Bradaskyus :-)

  • no problem, I love your videos. I love how you get so involved with your music.

  • Man, I can't ask for a nicer compliment than that - thanks!

  • you are awasome!!! i wish my dad was like you, jajaja...

  • exelent video ! i'm getting the hd1 as well. i see you are also a hard hitter, so i got a question :-) is the hd strong ? i mean, i read with some lower end electric drums that the cymballs are the weak spot. so do you have your hd1 long ? to me, it seems really high quallity, but i'd like to know for sure before i go out and get one :-D thanks for your time, and keep on rocking ! exelent drumming there, and i never noticed the mistake, but i dont know this song that well :-D

  • Thanks Maniac. I've been able to hit them as hard as I want - no problems yet, but only had them about 3 months. The cymbals sound good except for hearing the plastic as well as the cymbal sound through the speakers. But all things considered I'm pretty happy with them. You can play as loud or soft as you want, which comes in real handy if you have neighbors or just want to practice.

  • thanks for the reply. it's so good to see and hear people enjoying themselves. for me, music has been always a part of me (i play keyboard). but i wanted to have a new challenge, and i have desided to have a go on drumming. at first, it seems so easy, and then you see expert drummers (for instance johnny rabb who also did the video for the hd1) doing their stuff, and then you know its just more than hitting pads :-) keep on rocking there !

  • daddy cool!

salute at your age play foo fighter cover.

    check my vid also

  • Thanks Foo - gotta admit I like the new songs as much, if not better, than when I was a kid :)

  • Cool!

  • Yeah, this one is a lot of fun to play. Thanks :-D
