Man you rocks:-) I always wanted to play drumms but never tried it. Now when I see how much fun you're having... well I bought new MTB for having fun in summer and now it seems clear what I will buy for the long winter. All best from the Czech republic.
this kit i find myself isnt that good but for $800 is good enough one huge problem is the pedals there like a rock band pedal which i hate and also if ur a more of a recording kinda person this kit isnt for u unless u have a good thing from ur computer or some shit like that but if u want good sound quality and have a low budget i would recommend the TD4s
Thanks a lot zabo - i have to agree about the sound. i'm now playing on the TD9-SX and recording straight into the computer, so the sound is a lot better on my recent covers.
awesome man ur really gd keep up the good work and im thinking off gettin this drum kit but what is the best things about this drum kit as i have only played this drum kit once
It is really easy to set up. It is very light-weight and has a very simple control module for switching kits. It also has a pretty high quality sound. I wish they hadn't wasted some of the kits on voices or junk industrial - with only 10 kits, more drum variations would have been better. But overall, especially for the price, it was a great kit - u can adjust the volume for practice, plug in an iPod and play along... lots of fun.
You are too good!!! Great cover one question would you reccomend me buying this kit? i've been playing for 3 years (though my video is from ages ago) and im on grade 4 and really wanna go all the way is it good enough?
For the price, this was a great kit. It had solid performance, took up little space and i could adjust the volume to play whenever i wanted to without blowing everyone out. I've since upgraded to the TD-9SX. So it depends on how much you want to spend but I played a lot of songs on the HD1.
Believe it or not I probably would in the right situation (small venue or club). The sound is good enough and the setup would be super easy. Just plug it into the right amp and you'd be ready to go.
very nice man, i think you forgot the bass on 3:24 on the last snare, not a problem at all, i liked your performance from the beggining to the end. Keep it up.
Hey , im sorry about that comment it was my friend , my youtube account is always logged in , i am also a drummer and you did a good job on that song well done :) i am thinking of getting the roland HD 1.
hi there, i'm considering picking up drumming, but i live in a not-too-big flat, so i was looking for a small drum set, an electronic one. roland hd-1 looks great, but could anyone tell me which other options i sould take into account, considering quality, price and size. thanks
Great Cover, by the way, and great song choice. foo's ftw!
I think the HD1 would work pretty well in that situation - especially size-wise. Almost any electronic kit would do since you can adjust the volume or just go with headphones to keep from bothering the neighbors. Check out "KunoichiDrummer" - she's a beginning drummer and she went with a Yamaha kit.
Thanks a lot Timothy and yep... i'm giving away my age with that grip :-). I'm starting to switch back and forth with the matched grip - it's just more versatile.
Overall I am very happy with them. I have been playing a lot more because they r versatile enough to integrate into the home. I wish they hadn't wasted kits on voices. I would also liked to have double crash cymbals on a kit without losing the 2nd ride tom to a cowbell. And i could do without the plastic sound on the cymbals. But all in all, very glad i bought them - outstanding home practice kit.
exelent video ! i'm getting the hd1 as well. i see you are also a hard hitter, so i got a question :-) is the hd strong ? i mean, i read with some lower end electric drums that the cymballs are the weak spot. so do you have your hd1 long ? to me, it seems really high quallity, but i'd like to know for sure before i go out and get one :-D thanks for your time, and keep on rocking ! exelent drumming there, and i never noticed the mistake, but i dont know this song that well :-D
Thanks Maniac. I've been able to hit them as hard as I want - no problems yet, but only had them about 3 months. The cymbals sound good except for hearing the plastic as well as the cymbal sound through the speakers. But all things considered I'm pretty happy with them. You can play as loud or soft as you want, which comes in real handy if you have neighbors or just want to practice.
thanks for the reply. it's so good to see and hear people enjoying themselves. for me, music has been always a part of me (i play keyboard). but i wanted to have a new challenge, and i have desided to have a go on drumming. at first, it seems so easy, and then you see expert drummers (for instance johnny rabb who also did the video for the hd1) doing their stuff, and then you know its just more than hitting pads :-) keep on rocking there !
Hi, how can i use the double pedal?? if the left pedal is busy, because i use open hi-hit... thx
MrLostWizard 2 months ago

@halonerd04 - i wouldn't disagree, but it doesn't take a lot of space and was real easy to move. I've moved on to the td-9sx though.
