You can use a midi controller. The Liquid Foot is one that's been made to work with the Axe fx, but it is quite expensive.

No, at the time I had an Axe-Fx Standard...but there's nothing "Standard" about it.

Thanks. I control the Tone knob of the Octave Fuzz effect with a MIDI expression pedal for that sound.

They all sound pretty good except M Ways. I'm sorry but the Korg A3 is needed. It's auto wah is like no other.

The Pod Xt Pro, DHP33 and D-Two will be hitting the ebay block shortly.  The Axe-Fx sounds better in every way.

Does the AXE FX allow you to set dotted 8ths without having to tap out that rhythm? Like the Boss DD-5 and Boss DD-20?

Yes, it does allow you to set the rhythmic note value of the delay. You can tap 1/4 notes and it will give you any note value out that you desire.

Everything you're hearing in this video is 100% Fender Strat into Axe-Fx into a couple of Vox speaker cabinets (2x12 and 2x10). I still have my other (Pod XT pro based) rig, but it's collecting dust at this point.
