This guy wrote a C Compiler in 1986 (14 years old), he found a company when he was 15, so I would stop complaining about his presentation or english skills. He isn't Steve Jobs but he did bring Video Calling in higher quality than Apple did, and he brought it trought an open standard and protocoll - VOIP trough SIP.

As a fun test project I just installed Sipdroid on my Ideos smartphone and created a free Asterisk PBX over VPN at www1.pbxes.com and trunked it back to my office PBX. Now when someone calls my extension at the office it comes to my mobile and I can also make calls out through my office PBX. This is amazing software but it could also be a mobile telco killer.

I tried to get sip to work but somehow it doesn't register. Sip is a nice piece of technology but it will die soon due to the complication of setting it up.

I tried to configure my Droid Incredible to send and receive video with sipdroid as seen in this video above but it only allows me to make calls and initiate sending video, but the other party does not receive video. my sip network is sip2sip.info. All configurations seems to be ok. could it be that Sipdroid may not be completely functional on Droid Incredible? Anyone manage to get video to video calls to work on their Droid Incredible using Sipdroid client?

@AndraeRealty I have not been able to get the video portion to work either. It makes me doubt the program and this video in general. I was trying to figure out why she was playing the video using REAL player? Not that it couldn't work that way just seems suspect. I was able to call a SIP based program called MOVI, and it was audio only. Exactly what is it that initiates the video portion of this. Can't figure it out.  Certainly isn't automatic.

@courtmanr I know and when he's saying, "Maybe you would like to see this on Big Screen", his mouth didn't go with what he was saying, so he probably went to the mall an hour earlier with her phone and just filmed a video, because he was saying a lot more on the lady's phone screen than just "maybe you would like to see this on big screen". It was rigged!

@outopos As the father of an Autistic child, I would agree Pascal shows some signs of that. That said, I'd look much more awkward if I had to do a live demo like this on my non-native language. Pascal is certainly a genius - I rely on his product everyday and have recommended it to others.

Is it possible to let the video (or even audio) go P2P without via IP-PBX!? (If phone has its own real public IP), seeme that would reduce the latency, jitter and PBX's load...maybe this could be an "option" in sipdroid.
