  • Very nice!! I am getting my old 93 Mark out of mothballs. I haven't driven it in about 2 years. I miss that car.

  • damn bitchin build

  • Well thank you! I ran it twice last night and ran two back to back 12.3s on STREET TIRES, so I am hoping for a sub 11 run on DRs before the year is out.

  • I would not be suprised to see a few good 11's from this car, especially with a nice negative DA in this fall air.

    What size is your stall?

With a good mid 3k stall and DR's 11's are definitly not out of the question

  • Late October is when all the records are set. :)

My TC foot brakes at 2800 and flashes at 3200, consequently I have discovered that I get better 60' times launching off idle. At the moment I have my progressive set to 0 at launch with a 2 second ramp to a 125 shot. I'll be making some runs shortly with the DRs and a 40 shot at launch and a 1 second ramp to 125. That should get me in the 1.6 second 60' range and into the 11s, given good air.

  • That same combination last year (before the water/meth) was netting me a 12.9 on streets and 12.18 on DRs, so I am hopeful.

And it's nice to talk to someone who obviously has some track time. Our altitude here is ~1500 feet, we usually race with at a DA of about 3000 because of the humidity in summer. Good air can actually push that to just about sea level, which should add what... nearly two pounds of pressure?? So here's hoping!

  • What street tires did u run?

  • Just Goodyear eagles. 225/60 R 16.

  • Awesome races, I know that guy in the SRT-4, lol

  • He was having problems getting his turbo lined out. He'd go from too much boost to too little, and ended up being all over the place time wise. I am suspecting that once he gets things in shape it'll be pretty quick.

  • VERY nice Mark VIII. What did you do for tranny upgrades?

  • Aside from the 1/2 accumulator upgrade, Mercon V and a 2800 stall converter, it's stock with 138,000+ miles on it. As far as I know. The CarFax when I bought the car years ago listed a "transmission service" and when I had the tranny pulled for the converter, the one that was in it was NOT stock. But to the best of my knowledge the transmission is stock.

  • Thats Awesome
