It can do 280 easily. I have this car, it did 220 on the fourth gear once with the AC on. There were two gears left so I guess it'll hit the 280 easily. really nice car I have to say.

exactly, very aerodynamic car, with lots of torq. without the speed limiter it surprises anyone. hard to belive but it goes more than 300km/h (fast 310km/h)

@noobsarechoobs the 2.0 tsi has a top speed at 237 or 232 depending on the gearbox opted.. and thats with one passanger and a half empty fuel tank. my 3,6 however did 250kph easy on flat ground while driving on holiday a.i. boot full and 3 people inside

@noobsarechoobs i got mine up to 260 then ran out of straight road :D the 260 was a bit uphill though so it can probably do better. was a bit surprised since these cars are all supposed to be limited to 250 kph? its not that hard to do 250 either. well after about 230-240 it does start to take it's time. guess it's running low on torque. damn dsg and the 350Nm torque limit :D

ich hatte ihn auf 260, aber mit viel viel anlauf, der 2.0 ist net abgeriegelt wie der V6 deswegen ist kommt er über 250(Tacho), laut GPS warens 252km/h

@m1rchegfn Hahaa true. But I still can't get over all that torque :D the only problem being that with the dsg you can't tune more torque out of the car since the 6speed dsg is only rated at 350nm. That's why the vr6 in the cc has only 350 mm of torque. The engine itself is capable of a lot more

@m1rchegfn But it's still faster with the dsg :D for a car like the cc the dsg is the one to have. For a true sport car (and for me a scirocco isn't one) only a manual will do. I'm talking of something like an Audi ttrs or a Porsche or sth simmilar. A ttrs can only get get a manual because of all the torque it produces. And that's how it should be :D

@m1rchegfn Depending on the engine. A ttrs has a 2.0 TFSI but produces an insane amount if power. But that engine has been reconfigured and the block made from a different alloy. But it still has to have service intervalls every 15000km :D that's the beauty of a normally aspirated engine. It lasts forever :D
