The first 20 to 30 minutes of this movie are the best, for me. Hollywood yes, but cool anyway. I am especially fond of the detailed ejection sequence...lots of detail. Only question I have is, wouldn't the Hornet have a "command ejection" where the pilot automatically follow the RIO/WSO (whatever) without having to pull his own or alternate handle?

I wonder whats the reason why they had just right after the Hornet explodes and splits in 2 you see the treat planel turn off the "SAM" warning and light the "AI" (Air intercept )

But yes..in a movie where a missile with F-18s with heat seeking missile detectors (they didnt had them when the movie was made),magical missiles that travel during minutes and can turn arround time after time, carriers that dont go on alert after loosing a plane.. this is the least of the worries

Did I also forget to mention that when they dropped the fuel tanks the one missile exploded because it went straight into it, the other AI missile was like "DO they think I'm really this dumb?" and goes up.

I think those missiles are AI missiles, there is no missile that powerful. When they dropped heat decoys, the missiles was like "I AIN'T THAT STUPID DUMB F***" and dodged it. 2nd missile clipped the jet and didn't explode, and was like "I ain't done B****ES" comes back around and ejaculated on them.

Lol... SA-13's missiles travel at Mach 2, that friggin' F-18 would have been toast before the pilot could even hit the throttle.

@omglollmao123 lol your a retard, f 18 can fly close to that speed, with proper turning you could dodge a missle, its not like the missle immediately flys a mach 2 right off the bat, its takes time, even if its only 3 seconds, thats enough to go inot full throttle, and you also have to consider the distance the jet was to the launch of the missle

@ethancole32 fire bomb wft, those were the external fuel tanks, if you drop those at 2 times the speed of sound they will blow up, the trees wft, the missle follows the aircraft, the only thing that couldnt of happend was the missle not blowning up on the head on pass and turning around, your obviously a small child who doesnt know anything
