This intro makes use of many cartoon gags with guns and bombs that were forbidden in Saturday AM animation by 1978. John Dunn, longtime writer of the more violent 1964-69 Panther shorts, must have relished the chance to let loose again on a PG-rated feature film.

I've always loved this version.Sounds similar to the 1978 Saturday morning cartoon show theme.

I actually prefer this version of the theme tunes to the others, sort of makes it more upbeat and suspenseful sue to the drum and guitar tracks.

Man that Bass is just to die for. Sounds so late 70's. The whole intro sounds like it could've been in a James bond movie lite the man with the golden gun or something :)

I think Freleng can do better than this intro! It mostly just copies (poorly) the (brilliant) gimmicks in the previous intros (the flashlight, the typewriter, &c &c) by Freling and Williams. A little stale for the 6th in the series!!
