  • 3:09 paint by number pink panther.

  • Thanks for sharing it!

  • very veruy good ;)

  • This intro makes use of many cartoon gags with guns and bombs that were forbidden in Saturday AM animation by 1978. John Dunn, longtime writer of the more violent 1964-69 Panther shorts, must have relished the chance to let loose again on a PG-rated feature film.

  • classic

  • Great job as always from Leonardi, who was the young buck of the DePatie-Freleng studio and quite the innovator in title design.

  • The Pink Panther with a gun?

  • I've always loved this version.Sounds similar to the 1978 Saturday morning cartoon show theme.

  • I actually prefer this version of the theme tunes to the others, sort of makes it more upbeat and suspenseful sue to the drum and guitar tracks.

  • i used to watch this when i was 8

  • Listen to the rhtyhm too. Sounds like a Beatles rifff with other players helping. By far my fave intro to these series of films

  • what does everybody hate swing? the original music is FAR superior to this version, this is just a rock remake...b- remake of an A+ original

  • genius panther, genius music, genius pink :-) Thx 4 genius upload :-)

  • omg

  • nnn

  • whoa now that's funny

  • around second six yout can hear a ding

  • Fraps did that as I was recording it. Im going to re-post this video so it will be widescreen, HD, better audio, the full works.

  • Tell us here when you do please

  • haha

  • So good that it's going on my Ipod !

  • Man that Bass is just to die for. Sounds so late 70's. The whole intro sounds like it could've been in a James bond movie lite the man with the golden gun or something :)

  • The finest intro of the series

  • revenge is dog gone sweet!

  • una masa esta pelicula

  • I think Freleng can do better than this intro! It mostly just copies (poorly) the (brilliant) gimmicks in the previous intros (the flashlight, the typewriter, &c &c) by Freling and Williams. A little stale for the 6th in the series!!

  • Freleng didn't design these titles. John Dunn and Art leonardi did them.

  • Where was Richard Williams? This looks like it cost a dollar seventy five to make. Mancini's music is the only A grade element about it.

  • very good

  • got the box set love them all the late great peter

  • AWESOME 70's animation.

  • "I know! Let's make a movie of the Pink Panther series, but make it about a detective, and have Pink Panther be a passive diamond!"

    Wow.

    Great movie nonetheless.

  • The movies was made before the cartoon.

  • No. I mean, the character Pink Panther was established before, I'm sure.

  • Oh, I saw now that you were right. Huh, never knew that!

  • Bese mix of the theme!, shame the film wasn't much better!

  • I loved this edition of the theme.

    the best ever.

  • best edition of the theme

  • best opening of all the pink panther films

  • @turbostarbasher27 Nah... Return Of The Pink Panther for my money. Though that '70s groove in the theme is pretty cool...
