  • There are many foreign vehicles in my country, in Asia, and Wrangler built quality is so bad there are always something goes wrong although it is nicely designed capable vehicle. May be Jeep should built one factory out here. I betcha factory quality control would go up.

  • Wish they sold the LC 70, the new one the Aussies get :l

  • I doubt you have a rice grindin yota with500000 the bed would be rotted out after 150000 and I've seen more yotas fail due to rust then anything. Stop offroading in a mini truck with a tiny motor and step your game up with a full-size. Jeeps used to be there own brand buck in the 60s 70s. Jeeps are built to go offroading

  • @RequestDaLyrics well i think fj's and land cruiser's are offroad kings but i think fj's has more aftermarket parts, so it can be better

  • FJ ARE THE BEST SUV THAT EXIST. THE FACT THAT IT IS A TOYOTA MAKES IT THE MOST RELIABLE AND DURABLE SUV, JUST LIKE OTHER TOYOTA VEHICLE'S, MARK MY WORK, IF THEY MAKE FROM THE FACTORY FJ'S WITH SOLID AXLE, IT WOULD NOT EVEN COMPARE WITH THE WRANGLER, THE FJ WILL BE IN A CLASS OF ITS OWN.... FJ = OFFROAD KING

  • Nice FJ, Nice Crawl!

  • Fj mejor que un jeep mucho mejor

  • Ok if the fj is that good why put a st axel

  • I saw this fj in elsinore awhile back looks great and would trust it over any pile of shit jeep.

    ONLY IN A TOYOTA!!! [O==O]

  • It cracks me up these little tampons that own a wrongler get on here and write my jeep this or jeeps that,SHUT THE FUCK UP,you know toyota's rule and your just jealous little bitch's!

  • shut the fuck yaa up fuckin jeepsy wrangler or cserocky...

  • FJ = Fake Jeep

  • @Wrangler98TJ FJ = FUCK JEEP

  • @HARDBODYRALF You are living in a dream world buddy. Theres a reason Jeeps have been considered the utmost in offroading capability for decades. Straight out of the factory, there is no comparison between Jeep and Toyota. A couple months ago, I spent the majority of my trip dragging an FJ through the trail back to the road, because it couldn't handle it. Granted there was a 19 year old driving it, but the point can be make regardless. The Wrangler is STILL the king of the off-road.

  • @Wrangler98TJ not really, i think you are living in that dream world, a vehicle that its not reliable, can not be the king of offroad. i see jeep breaking down all the time when they go offroad, and dont tell me they are reliable because chrysler owns them and use chrysler part , chrysler are the worst vehicles made.

toyota above every car campany that exist.

  • @HARDBODYRALF Okay that being said, I ask you what proof you have. I take my 1998 Wrangler on trips to well known wheeling locations around the country, nearing 150,000 miles. I have only changed oil and replaced my failed alternator twice. Sounds solid to me. I have ZERO reason to believe that wranglers are inferior to toyotas in quality of build. Your proof?

  • @Wrangler98TJ i will not waste my time with you, TALK TO ME WHEN YOU HAVE 500.000 MILES WITHOUT REPLACING ANYTHING JUST LIKE TOYOTAS........OH WAIT YOUR WRANGLER DONT EVEN MAKE IT TO 300.000, SO I GUESS YOU WONT

  • @HARDBODYRALF youre not gonna argue because you have ZERO proof. do you own a toyota with 500k miles? NO. stop spreading your shit on the internet if your gonna talk out your ass.

  • @Wrangler98TJ the crazy part is, that yes i do have a toyota with over 500.000 miles, so try to beat me if you can.

  • A jeep guy watching "fj" vd

    Hmm.

    Fj=f*ck jeep

  • very bad car....

  • ok so a jeep definitely would be better than this pos. FJ's are ugly as shit, have hardly any tire clearance, and takes a shit load of money to make em capable of this^^^. BUT, for the "army uses jeeps" people, a humvee or hummer is the most original and capable of all. you'll see more military personnel in a humvee than a jeep. plus my stock 97 blazer has gone through crazier shit than my "friends" modified cherokee, so i dont care what you say.

  • Jeeps are the best, plain and simple. FJ's can stick to the pavement where they belong. I guess every now and then an FJ can take a leap of faith and go onto a dirt road.

  • Why theres so much off-roading "enthusiasts" saying that jeep is better

and all that crap, who cares whats better, anyone can choose what he will be driving while on the sand, or rocks, or mud or w/e they want.

Please shut the fuck up everybody and admire this piece of engineering

  • To all FJ freaks if you think this little FJ has something over on a Jeep your are very ignorant. check out OFF ROAD EVOLUTION! N have fun drooling because your FJ's will never clear 40's or larger diameter tires. N no matter what you do that tird{FJ} will never have the articulation of a Jeep!

  • @texasman1383 Yeah I just sold my 06 jeep with a 6'' lift and 36'' tires and got a 2011 FJ and it kicks the jeeps ass. I took it on the same trail we've been going on for years and it did all the same things with no trouble and a smoother ride. Just saying. So just stop hating and learn to live brother.

    FJ= Fuck Jeep.

  • @GuyWhoPlaysPiano So you droppped bout what $50,000 on that thing? Or more looks like solid front axle conversion, coilovers, and more than likely lockers and regeared. So another words a jeep copy with a toyota body. FJ= FOR JACK ASSES ONLY IN A JEEP Oh just a foot note the US ARMY used jeeps for a reason. And how many FJ's do you see going up the extreme trails of the Rubicon Trail? When it comes down to it Jeeps are Superior!

  • @texasman1383 haaateeeerr!

  • @texasman1383 Never have the articulation of a jeep? You can get crazy articulation on just about any vehicle with modifications. Even a Jeep needs a fair amount of modification to go with the big boy stuff. Btw, there are indeed FJ's with 40 inch tires.

  • @texasman1383 Wonder how well those Jeep's with 40+ inch tires handle with the mini van engine, 3.4L if I'm not mistaken? As for the Army using Jeeps, your beloved Cheep was infact replaced by the Land Cruiser in the 50's. I'll take my FJ (which has kept its roots/heritage) and is still built in Japan over your Jeep that is assembled in China, Iran, and Egypt. Only real American "truck" these days is a Toyota Tundra.

  • Nice FJ from your fellow Jeep owner

  • Man, whats the deal with people loving solid axles, they have shit for ground clearance. Pinz for life

  • To all the haters, Video's never do the trails justice. get out there in your stock jeep and we'll come pull you out.

  • Comment removed

  • @douhnutz stupid i bet a stock jeep could do that any day that yota should climb right up that no problem any vehicle that has enough clearance and 4 wheel drive could do that with the right driver easy so dont go all only a fj could do that your stupid and you know it

  • great vid man!

its awesome off road, but how practical is it on road? any suggestions for a modification thats good off road but is decent and practical on road too.

  • he needs to air down the tires a bit more...there too hard. specially in cold weather like that.

  • cool video! i want to get some faux beadlocks, and i have a voodoo fj aswell and i have wanted to see what the blue ring around the rim would look like!

  • is that the 6" lift with 35's?

  • beadlocks? air down dumbass!

  • @95jeep1969 that's the point of beadlocks, easier to break the bead with lower pressure in the tires

  • awesome fj dude finally someone who uses it for the purpose of toyota making them. This is making me wanting one more than ever :) awesome rig and awesome video man keep up the good work

  • Do FJ's come with a sunroof? Cuz that would be the one thing holding me back! I guess you could always have one installed. ...A really huge one, like twice the length of a normal one. Really open up the roof on that bitch.

  • @benslooking4junk iv got a buddy that had a panoramic one put in his FJ. It goes all the way back so the ppl in the back seat can look straight up and see out of it.

  • Awesome! However, I always ask myself, why are you driving there? Are you going somewhere? The store perhaps? We have paves roads for that! Whether super smooth, rough, maybe dirt road, but really, why the super wear and tear on such a nice, new rig? ...Maybe one day when I'm rich!

  • This is scrub shit, i could do this with my eyes closed in my jeep and never having to stop, so gay!!!

  • @Clayton130813 You should make love to your Jeep because you and it are so awesome. Do you give dome with your eyes closed too?

  • @thybigballs Maybe you should take thy big balls of yours and shove them down your throught. If you had an bit of brain you would know that FJ's aren't the best offroad. Just my opinion, and thats because of there center of gravity, how skinny they are and independent front suspension. Learn to actually have a good dialect between people instead of asking them stupid questions about giving dome, because thats what you should be asking your mom not me.

  • @Clayton130813 @Clayton130813 Oh I'm the one who needs to have "good dialect"? Go read your previous post. So adult of you. Also, Mr. smarty pants, did you notice anything resembling an IFS in the video? Surely you're aren't that ignorant. Do you really think anyone believes how your jeep can do this without stopping and with your eyes closed????? Get real poser.

  • love the solid axle setup!!

  • not only is it lifted, its a solid axle swap.

  • Epic. They should all be lifted like this. This is brilliant!

  • I like it when SUVs are doing what they were originally designed to do :)

    Not hogging the road.

  • Thats a sweet Fj!

  • Wow this toyota are good

  • I want one!

  • what a silly bastard, doesnt he know thats not a road.

  • Looks like some fun crawlin!

  • What kind of lift do u have on there and us that a 6inch lift

  • It still looks goofy as hell, but its boss off-road.

  • agreed but wihtout the graphic it wont be that bad

  • i found my name with matching initial in a title, too bad its not me.

    btw awesome fj

  • People below, this guy tore out the whole IFS suspension under the front and started from scratch, and it looks like he did a proper job of it. This is not a "LIFT KIT". This is some serious time and fabrication work, but obviously well worth it.

What axle is did you use???

  • THat's totally a kit. All Pro offers it. It's quite expensive, but if you wanna go balls deep, it's the way to go. Solid Axel FTW!

  • Props to the owner on the live axle swap. I tribute to what might have been if Toyota had a set.

  • cant put big tires under that thing unless you lift it

  • stock size 285 will be fine, maybe 305 if you do a body mount chop.

  • is that raised at all or is there just big tires?

  • lol its got a soild axel conversion, bit more than just liftin it

  • what the...!!! cool man...

  • $70k vehicle to the test??

I ain't that rich...~!! / Landcruiser has all of these capability with needed modification too. /

Does anyone know is there any place I go to test my SUV for off roading(light offroading) near NY,NJ,PA ??? Or where I can search from??

  • @chewchewg Rausch Creek

  • now thats the way a toyota LANDCRUISER, should be built. sorry i am old school and dont like the name fj. if i want a street machine i will get a 4 runner .hey toyota fans type in fj70 and see what the rest of the world drives.

  • what kind of tires do you have on your FJ? Where'd you get your lift kit?

  • Great Vid!!!

  • hi nice FJ :p , what kind of front axle are you using?

  • yea ive been wanting on too, but one project at a time, my wife and i are slowly buying all the parts to convert my 2wd dodge dakota, into a 4wd trail rig, but since we are not rich we are doing it the right way and buying one part at a time and when we have all, then we will do the modification.

  • yea if everyone looks under it in the video its a straight axle, so they converted it....

  • Great driving and the FJ is kick ass with the solid front. Good work AP.

  • great vid. i would like to have one but im poor! ;)

  • amen

  • exelent video , exelent truck, power of FJ is amezing

  • so, whats better fj or tj off road, same set up???NO diff, future buyer of ???dont know yet

  • its hard to tell jeep lovers say tj toyotas say fj i own an fj and love it the only thing is that some say the fj is bad cause of its independent front axle rather the tj which has a solid one...its what you want realy i like em both even thoug i always bad mouth jeeps when owners say fjs suck haha

  • Guy drives better than I do. Go for it!

  • your all wrong!!! thats how it comes stock, lmfao. i wish

  • the warranty null up when they put on the SFA I imagine.

  • derr... That's supposed to read "the warranty was probably null when they put on the SFA..."

  • research the magnusson moss act. You have a lot to learn.

  • Wow you must be one of those internet smarty-pants types I read about. Your power train warranty is gone when you remove the IFS and install a Solid Axle from another vehicle onto the FJ. Aftermarket modifications....sure you can do that all day but the moment you begin cutting out pieces of the FJs drive train with a torch....good luck.

  • this will be my fj in another 4 years and 87000 miles..when the warranty is up

  • so true man, i don't drive an fj i have a jeep jk but im waiting to do the lift and everything till the warranty is over! no way am i risking any expensive out of warranty repairs :)
