tax cuts will not work for stimulus for anyone except for the poor. If the poor get money, they spend it on necessities. If middle class or upper class people get tax cuts, they will pay down debt or save/invest it. and tax cuts will always end up giving the rich more money then the poor...so tax cuts will not stimulate the economy.
If people have money to spend that stimulates the economy. Would you rather give taxes to the banks.. already did that didnt work did it? Small business runs on poor and middle class.
no, the best way in my mind is infrastructure spending. we need it for one...the infrastructure is crumbling away so we need to upgrade it anyways, and it creates jobs. They also will be long-term projects that can sustain people for years, during which hopefully the rest of the economy can turn around. Also, then provisions can be made to accomidate the people as the infrastructure jobs run out. This gives people jobs, and gives people money.
