  • The 80's BEGAN what DJing is today. Back then, Filipino DJ's in the SF bay area were introducing people to the idea of "two turntables". What started in New York as street music and garage party music came to the SF bay area, where filipino high school DJ groups were running 5000 watt + systems, doing DJ battles with L36's. Check out my vids here on Youtube to see a rare look at an 80's DJ battle. You'll see QBert when he was still an unknown...

Great song BTW!... GL The Elite Xpression

  • This Was Indeed an Anthem back in Every Mix in the 80's.......

  • Añadido justo en mi cumpleaños, ruanos a lot...

  • Not bad... Still, I prefer the cuts from their album "Switched-On Classics". Their cover of "Fur Elise" ("Yo, Elise!") actually got used for many years by a local station as the background music for when they did the lottery.

  • Thank you so much for posting! This is an awesome song!

  • the 80s have good music thai i listined

  • mark eleven master vocoder, iou ..... electric funk musik ,hip hop dont stop.

  • mark eleven master vocoder, iou ..... electric funk musik ,hip hop dont stop.

  • i was hoping that maybe there would be some sort of retrive on this terrible record. Maybe something clever, maybe something resembling their original roots. But no, just utter rubbish. Shame on you guys if you think this is music....check out what they were really capable of back in the day....Freeez's 'Mariposa' - Buitterfly - live on The Old Grey Whistle Test...for starters

  • @neofunkyman1 go listen to that elevator music then grandad. we wanna dance!

  • @bobbitt187 If you understood the roots of the group you would understand where i'm coming from. Enjoy your dance music

  • 114 Thumps up....2 thumps down

  • wings (west covina), baby does (monterey park),fantasia (down town l.a.) these are places were you could dance to this music!!!

  • Ein wirklich guter Mix eines wirklich guten Liedes aus den 80ern.

  • This song brings back memories of my friends and I would go dancing to Sarawak in Juarez, Mex. Those were great times! THanks!!!

  • THIS WAS THE SHIT...........

  • Does anyone know the name of the one that was like the ORIGINAL one but the synth Orchestra strikes were like going nuts at the start??? was it just a DJ mix or what???

  • @PAYBACKiszaB2 "IOU" by Freeeze

  • @Ustaad1965 i agree the 1980s was historically the most important era in the music industry, the early tracks experimenting with lots of sounds, loads of sounds in fact. I can see why 80s is best era, the music biz in 00's lost its way to commercial crap

  • @djmusicjac

    Yeah. Sad but true!

  • oh yeah, simon cowell should penn this tune for his X Factor winnner, seems like 1980's disco house is top sound

  • awesome tune! i love it, this song must be re-released, it could be the tune for the winner of X Factor 2010, as it would defo be number one in charts

  • awesome tune, i love this funky version, 5 stars

  • Nothing Beats 1980's Freestyle. Long Live Freestyle Forever !

  • The Best years to be a DJ. The 80's was the SHIT on SOOOO MANY LEVELS.

  • @BillyBatsonMarvel You ve Right.. :)

  • FANTASTIC .

  • another freestyle classic!!!! why don't we hear this on radio anymore!!!

  • A small track of this jam came out on Beat Street, don't know if you all remember it... I do...

  • my first french kiss on this music

  • This mix is hot as dammit. Love it..even better than the streetwise release from 1983.

  • I like what the rascals did to this and freestyle it self.... 7/10

  • the 80s tracks beat the 60s by miles !

  • dope!

  • hell yeah

  • This song brings me back to when my friends and I would ride our bikes around Covina, Ca. with our Boombox...Yaaa! With our Mixed Tape! Yaaa!

  • where can we find this version of it?? I can't find it anywhere.. upload it please

  • this is a great song .....it brings back memories from the 80's .... thanks to everybody for the great sounds....................

  • 1986 Castle Park High School, Chula Vista. Party our ass off. Driving across the border to TJ, Mexico.

  • I mostly remember the Latin Rascals' remixes being aired around 5 PM on the original 92-KTU in the New York area. Paco was the on-air personality and he used to feature the LR almost everyday!

  • they just don't make freestyle beats like this anymo'!

  • hey please.. do you have an mp3 of this??? i can't find this version anywhere! ;(

  • this is fucking dope!! i lovvvve it!!!!

  • The Latin Rascals edited this record so good. They were some bad mother******* when it came to editing especially with the razor blade. Arthur Baker knew that when he hired The Latin Rascals to work for him at Shakedown Recording Studios, NYC he made a very, very smart move. The Latin Rascals were the best back in the 1980's, anything that they touched in the music industry you knew it was a gift from heaven.

  • Ya man. Old Skool Miami .. Was up..BK Knights..
