The 80's BEGAN what DJing is today. Back then, Filipino DJ's in the SF bay area were introducing people to the idea of "two turntables". What started in New York as street music and garage party music came to the SF bay area, where filipino high school DJ groups were running 5000 watt + systems, doing DJ battles with L36's. I mostly remember the Latin Rascals' remixes being aired around 5 PM on the original 92-KTU in the New York area. Paco was the on-air personality and he used to feature the LR almost everyday!

The Latin Rascals edited this record so good. They were some bad mother******* when it came to editing especially with the razor blade. Arthur Baker knew that when he hired The Latin Rascals to work for him at Shakedown Recording Studios, NYC he made a very, very smart move. The Latin Rascals were the best back in the 1980's, anything that they touched in the music industry you knew it was a gift from heaven.
