I love it, Sir Paul. I see scenes from "John Lennon: In His Life" and "Nowhere Boy" when John and Paul meet. It was great seeing St. Peter's in Woolton.
Are you kidding? No disrespect to Mick Green-he's terrific--but David Gilmour always has something special to say with the guitar. His slightly unhinged and spontaneous approach to this sort of "roots rock & roll" is just what the Dr ordered! This is a great band--and Gilmour more than belongs up there! He makes it particularly special.
Ian Paice is great BUT it's not like Ringo is too busy to make the gig.... In my opinion, Ringo is one of the best drummers in Rock n Roll and doesn't get nearly enough credit. He defined a style of drumming that everyone who came afterward had to learn... backbeat.
I think a lot of the reason for this project and the corresponding record (um, sorry, cd) Run Devil Run was for Paul to deal with Linda's death. Sort of a back to the roots deal. A little rock and roll therapy, and we get to see the results. Pretty good, straight forward stuff. Paul is at his best when he doesn't get too fancy. He's a rock God with nothing to prove- LET IT ROCK!
"No Other Baby" - guess thats about Linda McCartney who he lost years ago! He never got over Her, I think!

Something along the lines of "What about it, Paul?!" Because Paul had just started talking about when he met John.
