I'm well aware that A) Kratos has the same stats as Zelos (actually I've found that he might even be a tiny bit slower) and B) there's no way to use him by this point in the game. Use Guardian when she casts Freeze lancer. Also, don't cancel First Aid if she's gonna cast Ray. You recover 1200+ HP, it only deals 600-700 damage. If you have Faerie Ring, equip it. It cuts TP comsumption by half. If you can change between Force Ring and Reflect Ring (or just Protect Ring and Resist Ring) when she changes tactic, that will halve the damage she deals out. But even without these accessories, using Guardian against her Freeze Lancer is enough of a change to pull you through.

A pretty easy way to beat her is to set Zelos up with the Super Blast compound EX Skill and whenever she starts casting a spell run up to her and jump around as she casts the spell so it misses. Then with super blast you can attack her back with six normal strikes and three skills. If you can't get around her use guardian to guard against the spells. Do that and she should be down in no time. I've never lost to her using that set up.

there's a way to dodge freeze lancer when your in front of her but it depends sometime. If your stuck and cant go behind her and she's using that magic, run toward her and don't stop or jump after the spell execution and if your lucky enough, you won't receive full dmg from the freeze lancer or you won't receive anything

another is to get behind her and release hell with attacks, then demon spear, knock the bitch down then heal if needed

Zelos and Seles' fighting styles are incredibly similar. Both leave themselves wide open during and after casting, and both have a tendency to be very easy to dodge. However, once they catch you in a corner, it's bye-bye. Seles stay roughly in one spot, though. My game glitched on me once and I couldn't move- Seles just kept casting spells and spells and more spells over and over again (similar to spell canceling) before she eventually just... pfft. Agonizing defeat.

It's a crappy combo. You want to use Demon Fang as the last tech (if you have Super Chain) or not at all. If you use it as the first, then the 3rd tech (SLB in this case) will be much weaker.

Having good EX skills is what can really save you in this battle. If you have Dash, (change personal to it) Eternal, Slasher, and Super Chain, you can get amazingly long combos on Seles, especially since her spells are easy to dodge.

He can't use guardian right after healing. The trick is to use double demon fang whenever she's casting, and well... DON'T FIGHT HER CLOSE UP IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO! I cannot stress this NEARLY enough! Also, don't try to cast, she will either outcast you, or hit you with a mean attack RIGHT after you heal.

yeah, seles can sure be a bitch.... its good you know the lv1, lv2, lv3 combo. you should try different ones... how about demon fang, light spear, hell pyre? or, sonic thrust, lightning blade, hell pyre or, sonic thrust, light spear, super lightning blade? in other words, there are alot of them. every physical character can link lv1 with lv2 with lv3. so, just try them out.
