i guess that roll of toilet paper below the monitor is either for wiping the drool on ppl's faces or wiping the shit off ppl's pants when they see this beast
@InitialDirt Dude it's a 2.0L 4 cylinder. What did you expect? 1000ft-lbs? 600ft-lbs of torque is a lot already the fact the HP is so higher is because it has a pretty flat torque curve and LOTS ov revs. Simple physics. HP = (Torque * RPM) / 5252 .
@JayMark2049 Don't worry about him......he's complaining about the car not having a lot of torque (As if 600+ Lb-ft TQ was not a lot) yet he drives an RX-7........apparently someone doesn't know too much about rotary engines.
@rotaryturbo88 Don't doubt that it's a 2.0L, that 2.0L 4G63 iron block can hold and make over 1,000 hp especially at over 50 PSI. The low torque is because the GT42R is a big turbo, and the full spool is around 5,252 RPM, causing such a low torque curve. But the low torque won't keep this 1,001 awhp beast from running 8's. And torque is everything, that's why diesel trucks beat cars.
@crlsfermin I think it spools much higher than 5252RPM. The equation torque * RPM = 5252 dosen't mean the spool is at 5252 RPM. It means by definition that 1 HP is equal to a force of 1 ft-lbs delivered at a speed of 5252 RPM (on any engine). Big turbos don't provide less torque, actually it's quite the opposite. What it does is just move the torque peak to a higher RPM because more exhaust flow is required to spin the turbo. The low torque of the car is only due to small engine size.
@crlsfermin thats only cause a heavy ass truck needs the torque to move all that weight, thats why imports can still be fast with low torque numbers, because they are light. and the first part of your comment... wtf are you even talking about
@JayMark2049 Also just as you stated HP = (Torque * RPM)/ 5252. 5252 in the equation is the turbo's spool 5,252 RPM. Since this is a GT42R turbo set up, big turbos' full spool is around 5,252 RPM, causing such a low torque curve, and less torque. But in the track where you launch it at over 5,000 RPM, and after every shift the gears start at over 5,000 RPM the turbo fully spooled, and with a high redline, the low torque won't keep this beast from running 8's.

@JayMark2049 i doubt it is still a 2.0 probably a 2.3-2.4 but yeah not like its gonna have 1000ft/lbs... torque is nice but its not everything
