sorry, except for classic chansons (jaques brel, edith piaff, patricia kaas, gainsbourg, axelle red...) french is absolutely NO language to use in music imo. no matter what style, it keeps sounding horrible as hell :-/
and that's too bad cuz france has musicwise some really great bands they just frell it up with this stubbern use of french lyrics... Eths, for instance, would've been one of my top ten bands if it weren't for that. crying shame to me
