  • I love this song.. When I meditate, I put on Zelda music. The best ones that I use are, this, the Water Temple, the Forest Temple, and the Shadow Temple. The serenity they bring, it amazes me. They're so perfect for freeing your mind from your body.

  • @everybodymustdie666 Fucking hippy

  • @wesleyis16 What's wrong with hippies?

  • I gotta ask. Did anyone else use the Song of Storms to find their way through the Haunted Wasteland?

  • yeah

  • The sound of the blades in the background makes me uneasy.

  • i miss the old top comment that said.

    "Whoa cool music"

    *Pot flies at link*

  • I could picture this music playing just before a Muay Thai fight. Slow motion preparation of handwraps, prayer, meditation, etc.

  • This, the Water Temple, and the Forest Temple songs, are my favorite. Ever. I actually have a playlist on my ipod of all of the calming Zelda songs I could find, and I meditate to them. They're actually perfect. Amazing music, amazing series. My favorite games. Ever. I will always love them.

  • I thought Nabooru was hot! I mean, she's a cartoon character, OK, and so is Princess Ruto, but if anything Princess Ruto is far, far hotter than Nabooru! Nabooru reminds me a lot of Anck-su-Namun for some reason

  • I've completed this game almost 10 times and I've always done the spirit temple before the shadow temple and only the most recent time did i decide to try doing it in the opposite order. But i don't really mind which order now. It's just funny the way i saw everyone saying about the spirit temple being the last temple cos up until recently that was never the case for me :L

  • best temple in the game i love the song and the temple was fun to play too whenever im in this temple I take my sweet time to enjoy the music

  • Zero dislikes. Zero. Because there is NOTHING to dislike.

  • Why can't all the Zelda games have this epic of background music? This, the forest temple, the shadow temple, and so many others are just indescribably good.

  • @dengel3587 I know right?

  • Why are the bosses of the spirit temple related if they are complete opposites? I mean I had to make one sister's magic to hurt the other sister.

  • Man I miss The Legend of Zelda!

I plan on getting Skyward Sword only because I've passed all the Zelda games already!

  • This is the temple I got to when my save file got magically deleted.

At least I have the water temple to keep me company.

  • Not legit. Didn't hear the pots in the beginning.

  • i swear to god i hear the spikes in this song... i guess i'm traumatized...

  • @eMoDevil1993 Lol, when i read this comment I just heard the spikes, lol.

  • Love the Twinrova boss!

  • As soon as I finished this Temple, my sister knocked over the wii, and I hadn't saved it, so I had to go back to the boss of the Shadow Temple, kill him, get Epona, AGAIN, get the Biggoron sword, AGAIN, make it through the Gerudo's Fortress/Thieve's Hideout, then I had to go across the Haunted Wasteland, and finish the Temple AGAIN. Luckily for me, it wasn't the Water Temple.

  • I remember beating the witches and they argued on their way to heaven.......... WHO ARGUES THAT MUCH?!? LOL

  • I love the boss in this temple

  • Ii swear I can hear those spikey-things move in this song.

  • @tttc

yeh me 2 lol. its funny that cos when the track first started i just mentally put the spike sound effects into the song myself at the places where i hear them when playin the temple

  • Such despair in this song. Almost hopelessness.

  • @Anichols321 I actually think this sounds quite beautiful, almost as if you're exploring a well lit, ancient tomb. But theres no dead people.

Someone said that this temple was like a shrine of worship.

I have to say though, the Shadow Temple has terror and hopelessness in it.

One person theorized it was once the royal family's tomb, but then it was used to torture POWs...

I can PM a link to you, if you want.

  • @GentlemanAeon777

yo dude can i see that link?

  • @GentlemanAeon777 me too please

  • @GentlemanAeon777 Don't play Master Quest Spirit Temple, they make Water Temple and Shadow Temple a bit easier and then make Spirit Temple, which is well balanced in the original, a good deal more confusing and fill it full of Gibdos.

But then that's the point of MQ.

  • @lshaw17 You're quite late. I finished it in OoT 3ds version. Its not hard. But to tell the truth, Its hard to believe that hitting a chest would activate a switch...

I didnt think it was hard. Just very...weird?

  • @GentlemanAeon777 Well, that's the trouble with getting older and better. I played MQ on Gamecube so it's been a while. When I was a kid, original Jabu Jabu's belly kept me stuck for months, and I thought Barinade was too difficult. When I completed it in about half an hour recently I was shocked. Barely got a scratch from the boss.

  • @GentlemanAeon777

BTW, I like the theories on the uses of the Temples before they were temples, other than worship places or domains of local spirit. It all kinda fits.

Forest Temple as a mansion or castle, possibly used in the Interloper/Hyrulean Civil war, Fire Temple as a jail or Goron Stronghold in their old war against Volvagia, Shadow as some sort of perverted torture chamber or tomb. Only Water and Spirit seem to be designed as actual places of worship.

  • @lshaw17

    Yes, they're very entertaining.

The Forest Temple being an old castle, with the Poe Sisters as either noblewomen that were disgraced or traitorous servants that failed and the Lost Woods cursed by the godesses.

The Fire Temple as a jail. With Volvagia as a death penalty.

Water Temple literally being a temple to an old god (Like the Leviathan).

Shadow Temple as a funeral ground to a torture chamber.

And the Spirit Temple as gratitude to the Gods from the Gerudo.

  • @Anichols321 I think finality sums it up. You're approaching the end.

  • this is fucking cool. i can't wait to listen to this stoned

  • it's sounds like yu-gi-oh

  • This is so good.

  • It hears like Egyptian for me >.<''

  • @MsAllSucks It is, the song was computer snyced to make it sound egyptiany.

  • @robloxfan459 Cool :D

  • am i the only person who completes this before the shadow temple?

  • @wowftw120 Yes, lol

  • @wowftw120 nope! I do this before the shadow temple every single time!

  • @smartepantz15 i think he just entered the temple a let the music recording. you can hear the foot steps of when he walks in at the very beginning

  • come on this place is easier then the deku tree

  • Fave music - fave temple "I LOVE ZELDA" ♥ ♥ ♥

  • By far my fav temple.

  • 3Ds 3Ds! ^^

Im on the final boss and I hate It! >8O

    But, like this song ^^

  • This is one of those songs that HAS to be loud

  • This theme is FUCKING EPIC

lol I think that I´m gonna buy a 3DS just to play OoT one more time

  • @PFGL90 lmfao that's what i did,and so far totally worth it!

  • This is probably my favorite temple. Wasn't too hard, but I still enjoyed it a lot.

  • wasn't there a way to record the music without those spike things in the background? :P

  • i will miss the huge lady who's nipple i can latch on...

  • To me this temple was like taking a break from all the other temples.

  • I think the spirit temple is the easiest temple and the shortest in the game :D. Same with the shadow temple

  • my personal favorite temple :D

  • Best Zelda music, EVER

  • i still remember the mirror shield was one of my favorite items in the game, that & the hover boots

  • *pot flies at link*

*pot breaks and heart comes out*

    me: well that did nothing

  • @p3ngu1n48 Lols 69 likes. Get it?

  • this song reminds me or like indiana jones or a desert... or some sort of an ancient discovery

  • My most LEAST FAVORITE temple.

  • my favorite zelda temple ever

  • @Jumpmann same :)

  • Easily My favorite Dungeon Perfect mix of puzzle and action and the best song

  • I'm on this temple right now...

First time I entered I thought it was an epic Egyptian theme, and that it wouldn't be too hard.

THEN those 2 pots hit me right when I walked past.

Me: On second thought... I might be in for one hell of a time.

And sure enough, I still am e.e

  • *Me when I was 8* Me: Becca (sister) what are you playing? Becca: The Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of Time. Me: can I watch? Becca: of course! *about a couple months later* Me: can I play around on your file? Becca: Yes. (the file was always finished) *about 2 years later* Me: Can I make my own file? Becca: Sure! What do you want you name to be? Now that I'm sixteen, I look back and say: "BEST. DECISION. EVER" * is not paying attention and gets hit with pots*
  • @MandLhatemileycyrus

Haha that is the exact same story with me! I always watched my brother play this. I think i managed to watch him play through it 4 times before i tried it

  • i forgot that the flying pots at the beginning weren't part of the song

  • Comment removed

  • I hear the sliding spikes.

  • @chaddytele im not sure. That would have been awesome, especially if they put them in the places you least expect them so they pop out and your like "WTF IS THAT" lol

  • @DeathhsLegacy they had anubis, Anubis is the egyptian god of the dead. You could only harm him with fire.

  • Man, this song brings back memories of the good old days lol. My favorite boss, Twinrova resides here. I just don't get why they would make Twinrova start out as ancient witches and then turn into like a 30 yr old demon witch thing lol.

  • this is my favorite temple home to my favorite boss

  • @TheFireblaze44 My favorite temple was the shadow temple. My favorite boss was Twinrova too like you! :D

  • ..there were no mummies..Why did they not put the mummies!

  • be an adult, turn into a kid after and so on. -.- soo mission

  • this intro has the feeling of "holy shit this is it" and the ensuing parts just exude abandonment and betrayal. by far the best song in OoT if not the whole series

  • 0:00 to 0:25 is epic as shit

  • This is my favorite temple. Shadow temple is my second.

  • this is awesome dramatic slow death music...

or just an epic kick a pot's ass music.

  • reminds me of the mummy

  • This music really make me go to another dimension/atmosphere

  • Spirit and shaddow temple are my favorite

  • is that metal sharp thing in the backround of the music making *SSHHHHING!!!* noises or am i just hearing things???????

  • @rahkshi0k

Definitely NOT hearing things, except the damn metal thing making noise

  • @rahkshi0k yeah that's the metal spiky thing. If you listen at the beginning you can even hear the footsteps of Link walking into the temple.

  • TwinRova was one of the best bosses in the game!!

    :D

  • * walks in child side *

navi: look out for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling.

    * runs back out the temple * link: i am not doing that shit

  • @MultiDarius100 I had that exact same feeling!!! also in forest and shadow temple except for this temple had great music and the shadow the most scary music

  • Is this just the musical track, or is this recorded from the game while you were standing still somewhere? I keep hearing blade trap noises, like you had Link standing close enough to a blade trap to keep activating it (but not get hit) while you recorded this.

  • you recorded this didn't you? i think so cos i can hear the moving spikes in the bg, unless that's part of it.

  • you can tell this was recorded when link is just standing there.

i also believe this was master quest.

when you first walk into the spirit temple, you should hear things scraping around. in the original game, when you first walk into the temple you can't hear anything.

  • 110 ppl got the mirror shield and the silver gauntlets :P

  • I wasn't able to continue the temple for a day because I thought Navi was saying Anubis was INvulnerable to fire. XP

  • .... this si the type of music you can seriously dance to. especially Tai-chi would work.

  • @Lightningstrike1220 i would fist pump the shit out of this music LOL

  • noone dislikes this..no wonder the music speaks for itself :)

    thanks for the music!

  • does anyone else hear those annoying sliding spike things in the background?

  • @smartepantz15 i also hear them xD

  • @smartepantz15 crap i do to! It makes it sound deadily >:P

  • @smartepantz15 or the things that eat you and steal all your stuff?

  • Someone should make a physical Version of this... this Desert Colossus... i'd run around in it all day, fighting monsters and saving Nabooru...

  • this level is basicly egypt

  • This was my favorite temple.

  • If you get pissed off whenever encountiring an enemy while is this dungeon(or any other dugeon) and have this music interupted then thumbs up this shit!

  • This music is fucking epic. Koji Kondo you legend

  • link enters *first time player* "wow what great music"! *pot slams in face*.

  • @slickmonmon13 life hits ya fast XD

  • @yugiboy123123 heh, tell me! This must be the first time I've gotten so many thumbs up!

  • @slickmonmon13 Its rare that a comment makes me laugh out loud but your's did

  • @slickmonmon13 @donkycomix HAHAHAHA OMG, that's so true, i've never stopped to take note! ;o

  • @slickmonmon13 lol like me when I was like 6

  • @slickmonmon13 epicest reply on youtube. pure win!

  • @slickmonmon13 Bahahah, that's all I think of at the beginning of this music xDD

  • lmao!!!! I know right? good thing theres hearts in the jars though lol

  • @slickmonmon13 Hahaha! Exactly! I know the feeling. XD

  • All the temple themes, seem to have this completely daunting dark theme to them. In this Nintendo achieved a horrifying perfection imprinting these in our heads. lol

  • @LikeAFish101 Wonderfully said, I couldn't have said it any better myself.

  • Im a little scared... lol but seriously, this is freaky. Love the Zelda series!

  • I loved playing this one

  • I loved how you had to go through this temple as a kid and then as an adult. It was totally innovative.

  • @hammeredbro95 This game has something that is unique in every game EVER released. I can't touch it with my fingers but the result was that I hated it when I finished ganon and after I played everything was back to just before I slayed ganon.

  • three words egyptian, egyptian, and egyptian

  • for some reason this reminds me of liek Muslim cultural music

  • i agree with cinnabon chan

  • I know most people say they get an egyptian feel of the Spirit Temple, but me it was mostly a mix of Hindu and Arabic for me. The Goddess of the Sand looks like a hindu goddess.

  • oh i hate that temple and the game, hardest game i've ever beat!!!!

  • Is it only me, or can you hear Link walking in the beginning as if he just walked into the Temple.? XD

  • You can feel his widdle boots pattering away.

  • @AshBabe609 I can hear it too

  • @TsukuneAono16 :DDDD. Illovee this songgg.

  • 1:59 and so on it's just awesome. That sound is soothing.

  • I can hear the spinning enemies in the background!

  • the blade things? those things sound awesome! (except when they're trying to murder you... ._. )

  • can you upload the title theme?

  • You know what, we go from Islamic fire temple with chanting( if you have original game) to an Egyptian temple with music and an enemy named after Anubis, God of Embalming, and the enemy is shaped like Anubis's head ( for anyone interested)

  • the part at 1:23 is just great

  • do you know the egyptian level from hexen II? the music from it isn't far unlike this one.

  • lol you can hear link walkin at the very beginning =)

  • This song always had a feeling of mystery to it. Like a lonely Egyptian temple.

  • i can hear the spike traps O_o

  • 0:00-0:06

    Oh shit FLYING POTS

  • I love you.

  • @donkycomix I actually can't unhear that noise now. It's so ingrained in my memory, as if those cymbals in the intro are the sounds of the pots flying into Link's face and shattering.

  • thanks alot! that helps. i seriosly HATE the shadow temple!

  • is any1 out there knowledgeable enough to know what instrument that is

  • Technically, its all computer synth. But, there are a few instruments that are audible. Would you be talking about the violin/fiddle, which came in around 0:31 ?

  • u are so sweet 2 reply, computer generated sound is a great thought. yes that is exactly the sound i'm talking about @ around 0:31. Some1 told me it an egyptian arghul & i think they are right. what do you think?

  • I was not aware of the Arghoul before this comment....from what I've heard (quick check on youtube), the friend could be right. The synthesizer makes it hard to tell...

  • @megabrain3000 its those blades that slide n the floor in the spirit temple

  • @megabrain3000 would'nt that be a Bagpipe? A synthetic one

  • no, more like an oboe

  • @GinG305 i think it is an egyptian arghul.

  • @GinG305 would'nt that be a Bagpipe? A synthetic one

  • @GinG305 It could also be a flute of some kind. It sounds very eastern 2, don't you think

  • hahaha, I LOVE this song!!! if only i was brave enough to get through the shadow temple... (scariest temple ever!!!) man, i wish i could skip that temple, just so i can get to this one...

  • homedawg55 you actually kind of can. what you need to do is go into the shadow temple and kill the dead hand to get the hover boots then gtfo then go the spirit temple normally, as if you beat the shadow temple and you can beat it.

  • The intro is the only good part for me, i dont really like the rest of this track. Its just me

  • i hate this temple! Too big, too long...but original. If i remind well it taked around 5 hours to pass this fucking temple.

I love the egyptian theme :D

  • I love this music, I was really expecting to hear SHHHINK SHHHHHINK SHHHHINK, coming from those metal things in some rooms, in this video.
