For in our hearts, the dreams are still the same"
is intendedly escaped by Miss Mary Hopkin?
In my country TWTD Japanese title is "A Sorrow Angel". There is Ryoko Moriyama's cover ver. "A Sorrow Angel " available in Japanese lyrics that is the same ending.
Hi re-visiting... I was listening to some old Janis Ian and a song she wrote about Edward Hopper and I was racking my brains trying to think what the connection was to Mary Hopkin and then!!! it was your post...LOL
hello friend great song...a gem. i am still alive, and kicking lol! how are you? saw that you tried to connect via the vid site i dont know why it didnt happen. this is my 2nd post i think i accidently clicked spam in the 1st one so many apologies. take care and hope to hear fm you sometime soon.
Mary in this clip sings more womanish than the originally released or in Postcard/Those were the days. I dont know when and where this clip was chosen...maybe in her later days....sorry.
yeah that's why it's so much shorter than the other one, but it sounds fine without it. i was listening to the full one, and maybe i was just more prone to liking one i was used to.
hello friend thanks so much for trying to hook up i dont know why it didnt manage to postinto my vid site? but thanks all the same. its pretty cool here with summer and all, but been getting pretty mixed days weatherwise, which sucks cos plans then have a tendency to go pearshape. ah it doesnt really matter dat much. but what matters is you got "TWTD" :)
Nice presentation - thanks for uploading

excellent recording. strange how you missed the backing chorus. it was mystical in 1920's nature. very strange omission. occult like.

Hello from Japan.
Me, too, 2nd visit.
Now checking my playlist, I met this again.
In yours, the verse:
"Through the door , there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh, my friend, we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts, the dreams are still the same"
is intendedly escaped by Miss Mary Hopkin?
