  • what camera is that

  • @SuperJessmeister It's an MPP mk8, a 5x4 inch English technical camera.

  • 6:57 is the shot

  • It's a challenge to work with any group pf moving people. This takes it to a whole new level. I try to find a few spots I can get something from and don't try to keep up with the crowd, it helps a great deal, if you can just be there way before they are. Nice job mate! Thanks guys!

  • It's the real Challenge to work with Large Format

  • That was very impressive; your boy was a real sport and those shots looked really sharp. What lens/film was that? Makes you appreciate photography all the more.

  • Good sport to use a large format camera coming straight from AutoLand.

Also the contrast between taking 12 shots for the day compaired to the other guy firing his DSLR like a machine gun, not even looking through the VF while shooting at 6:08.

    excellent vid.

  • Gives you a lot of respect for the press photographers back in the day when they were all using Speed Graphics. Here ya go, boy, ya get two shots, just incase you need an extra ;)

  • Great job.

  • dizkotech: he had I think 12 sheets of film, one was not exposed and I think two were fogged due to the slide being taken out too early or replaced too late, the rest were exposed correctly!

  • @mattbigwood Wowo really, did you have any iso metering indicators or lux controls sorry if i replied, but i havt seen the video yet.lol, do you recommend medium format?

  • Priceless - large format, hand-held, on the move, in bad weather, with moving targets - you were very restrained; under those circumstances (and never hand-held) I mostly say "f...f...f...!" most of the time!

  • Can I see some of the outttake shots?

  • sigh youth...

  • Nice job!! It gets easier the more you use manual equipment like this. Keep up the good work.

  • Well done - nice camera - your a very lucky lad to have such a nice camera - nice shots. keep up the good work and lets see more of your work.

  • Great camera and good work here!! Thanks you, and take that camera and come to Puerto Varas, Chile to photograph wonderful landscapes. Best regards.

  • Way cool film....Running with this! You're a wildman!

  • Really very impressed that you tried this - and also that you got such good results! Fantastic work and well done for getting it on video..

  • Lucky lad that he had 12 exp for the day. I'm normally down to 6 per day. Still he did well to know he left the darkslide in...I sometimes have an afterthought "Did I take that out?".

The take home message though should be IMO that shooting with film really will get your technique honed and everybody should give it a serious attempt.

I had no idea there were so many LF videos on this site.
