I would also like to point out that the peaceful verses in the Qur'an are really very peaceful. The problem is that many more violent verses were written after the peaceful verses. According to Islamic law, verses written later supersede and abrogate earlier ones. So you can believe the imams all you want who say "there is no compulsion in religion", but once Muslims are the majority, the violent verses take precedence and they start killing people for blasphemy and apostasy.

I would also like to point out that the peaceful verses in the Qur'an are really very peaceful. The problem is that many more violent verses were written after the peaceful verses. According to Islamic law, verses written later supersede and abrogate earlier ones. So you can believe the imams all you want who say "there is no compulsion in religion", but once Muslims are the majority, the violent verses take precedence and they start killing people for blasphemy and apostasy.

The fact of the matter is a lot of the "weapons" Islam bashers use are either poorly translated Qu'rans and or fake hadiths. In the Qu'ran it never says to kill Christians and Jews it says to kill a specific tribe of Christians and Jews that tried to kill Mohamed (SAW). U need to study about when these versu were revelade. But if u want 2 use the quran we have to use the entire book in context. 1st what does the quarn say about killing inncent ppl. Surah 5;32 if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Second what does the quran say about war.

Nowhere in that versus does it say go out there and start the war. Next up surah 47;4 it says when u meet in battle, so what this is talking about when ur in war that ur allow to kill those who attack u. 'Those who believe' strictly refers to the Muslims at the time of the prophet who were helping the prophet in ESTABLISHING the new religion. Please everyone read the Quran correctly or at least read about Prophet Mohamed before giving an opinion about it. I’m a Christian and I’m now a better person after reading some parts of the Quran (It taught me new personal values). Also, its interesting to read where you can find many stuffs mentioned in the koran which was discovered later after more than 1300 years.
