This sucks haha... all the good songs to do a tribute to are almost all gone. By the time i get my iroc-z its own video there wont even be a selection left. :(
I'm about to build a 305 Vortec TPI to put in place of my V6 in my 90 Camaro, got any advice? I plan on using the stock bottom end, Vortec heads, 1.6 roller rockers with LT4 springs and full 3" american thunder exhaust. The only thing I'm worried about is the valve clearance using 350 heads on a 305 with larger rockers and springs with the cam im getting
@Fireinme81207 Yeah actually. this is the garage way to do it but it works. take a piece of clay stick it in your number 1 cyl on top of the piston. bolt down the head. insert the lifters, push rods, and put on the rocker arms torque them down. now after that rotate the motor over by hand a few times. now take it all apart and look at the clay. and you will find how much clearance you have left. and careful with the cam the stock springs will only go up to 500 lift or something close i believe.
No Actually there Bosch TypeII's. 21LBS. They can be blueprinted and reworked to 23LBS.They actually came off a ford GT mustang haha. but to be honest they work great.
What type of motor do u have because I want to upgrade my 1988 chevy camaro? I have a 5.7 350 engine. I dont want to swap just upgrade the Cylinder Heads, Cam, and ect. any suggestion?
@cruzplcs well you can do a lot of things. but yes you do you want to upgrade your heads. thats where you want to put your money into. other then that you can get some nice domed pistons to increase your Compression ratio. that will give you a lot more power. but you will need to check your clearance with the valves.
good video dude. looks like that car has some torque but I had a 91 305 and that thing couldnt keep the grip down. what have you done for rearend suspention>? you should tracktion bar it if it isnt already, that way no loss of power due to slipping tires.
@67mustangreg yeah thats on the list of things to do haha. i just got my 40 hours back so ill be dumpin some more into it soon. but stock rear end. but its posi i do want to put a 373 gear into it.
what type of sprins are on the heads
