  • they punched the 50's in yur face

  • Thanks! Nice, well tought review..

  • U.S.A learn the true history of Peru and Mexico

North American bastards ASSHOLES HOLIWOOD = SHIT

  • @lhicekid It's a fantasy adventure film, it doesn't have to be accurate.

  • agreed i hate spiderman 3.

  • Isn't the point of a review to let people know whether or not they should see a film? What's the point of making a review if you're going to tell people to see the film, and THEN watch your review?

  • @psx2514 Not entirely. Many reviews have spoilers in them and should be looked at as more of an analysis. It's just giving people your opinion on the film and then seeing what other people make of it. Think of these videos as the beginning of a discussion :)

  • @Areashiftybun Then this isn't a review. It's a critique or an evaluation.

  • @psx2514 Definition of review: An essay or article that gives a critical evaluation. This video doesn't go deep enough to be called an analysis imo.

  • well the problem for me is that they mixed two very different civilizations and show it as the same.. how irresponsable, specially when it's a movie about an archeologist

  • that was cool when he saw the ark at warehouse 51

  • Well done. Enjoyed your review of this film very much.

  • Next thing you know they're raping a stormtrooper. Where will it end?

  • Sweaty fuck! This movie was abysmal.

  • Yeah, being an archaeological adventurer type sure does work up a sweat.

  • i dont get the ending

  • The ending of the film or the review?

  • film

  • Yeah it gets a bit Twilight Zone doesn't it?I really wish they had done the fate of Atlantis instead of aliens.

  • Excellent review! Well-detailed and articulate. Let's hope they do at least one more Indy film.

  • Yeah I'm hoping they will, rumours are they are working on Indy 5, but we'll just have to see.

  • i hated that there were aliens in the movie, but you realy had a point with the pirates of the caribean sequals. those sucked ass!

your accsent is a litle bit difficult to listen to, englich is not my first languich.

  • Don't worry, my accent is difficult to understand at the best of times lol. Just hope you enjoyed the review :)

  • Very good review, couldn't agree more on all aspects....especialy the far-fetched "swinging from the vines" scene.

  • Hey look!It looks just like Sam in Transformers at 0:35.Sam is the one with the brown hair and a black jacket.

  • umm thats because it is him and actuallyy call him by his real name. nub

  • The only thing that bothered are was the U.F.O. plot. But they weren't necessarily aliens, just inter dimensional beings.

  • I'm going to uplad a review of the trilogy next month.

  • i was pissed enough when this movie was a nominee for worst remake or sequel but now im even more pissed off because it WON! this movie made tons of money it had a ton of nostagla 75% on rotten tomatos nd it was well made, Y DID IT WIN

  • Also...the Soviets made great 'Nazis' and what with Marion returning and the film also having a sub-plot of indiana's relationship with his son...the film connects well with Raiders and Crusade...Not to mention the return of

    warehouse 51.

  • Very good review indeed....I however thought that the film worked well enough for me to think of I, III and IV as being true Indiana Jones films with II as a stand alone prequel.

I thought the aliens theme was brilliant for two reasons...firstly, after the Grail and the Medieval Knight, and the Ark of the Covenant unleashing ghosts, the Inter-dimentional aliens fitted right in and were suitably mysterious and grand...Secondly, aliens were a central theme of the 1950s...but you did say that.

  • Pretty good review, I agree with about everything you say, but I couldn't swallow the aliens, to me, I can't think of a film that is more ill suited to aliens than an Indy film. I guess it was the 1950's but it just didn't ring very well for me, not sure why. The fridge scene didn't bother me as much, but it was over the top as well. How difficult would have been to just bring a few real prairie dogs out? To CG them was crazy, might as well have Harrison singing with animated woodland creatures.

  • when you were talking about cgi you put an image of jurassic park... not great example, jurassic park's t.rex is done mostly with stop motion...

  • Jurassic park's T-rex was created with a combination of CG and animatronics. This combination is one of the reasons that the image works so well, rather than just straight cg. The T-rex was going to be created using stop frame, or go animation, but Spielberg decided on a more innovative solution. Most of it was computer generated or animatronic.

The screen tests using stop motion are interesting, but they never made the actual film, so my point still stands about the T-rex in Jurassic park.

  • wow, i stand corrected. I just remembered a footage I saw as a kid of the T-rex and the car of stop motion... I didn't wanna sound like a youtube knowitall...

anyway... you know your facts right (Y)

  • This movie is as bad as it gets. Save your money and just watch SNL if you want horrible tv for 2 hours.

  • ROFL that's harsh :p

  • As funny as I thought that South Park was, I think this movie was very good. Last Crusade is still the best (imo) but I still the 4th movie was good.

  • You know I never caught the Southpark episode, even though I'm a big fan. I'll need to check it out.

  • Good and fair review, well done. What viewers of my age must understand is this film has to appeal to the younger market also, who probably weren't born when Last Crusade came out. I think it balanced this issue well.

PS, I saw Raiders in '81 in the Kelburne Cinema, that end sequence still scares me..

  • Haha yeh, the scene at the end of Raiders still gets me. You're lucky to have seen it in the cinema when it was released, I only got to see it on VHS. Must have been great

  • The 'South Park' guys really disliked it.

  • that South Park episode is how I feel about the movie.

  • Why? Because it had aliens? That's kind of stupid, if that is the reason. Finding aliens is no more odd than proving Jesus, God, and Kali exist.

  • The aliens was just a part of it. It was way over the top shit like surviving the nuke in a fridge, granted Raiders is over the top but not as much, also way too much CGI, Mutt Williams sucked and so did his Tarzan vine swiging, Russians will never be the same as the Nazi, and plot was too damn retarded in my opinion, Ive never heard of a Crystol Skull, but I have heard of the Arc and the Grail, also we hear about WW2, I would rather have seen that story. KotCS wasnt horrible, but it wasnt Indy.

  • Well, come on. Surviving the nuke was meant as funny. I very much agree with you on the Tarzan. Should've been deleted. No, Soviets can't be Nazis, but, hey, Indy has to fight somebody! I've heard of Crystal Skull, and a holy grail, but not an Ark. Maybe it's because I'm not a christian. Don't know. I know the first time I watched KOTCS, I thought it wasn't really that good, but the second time I watched it, I appreciated it more.

  • Well Prehaps I should give it a second chance then. Like I said it wasnt horrible, it was a great adventure film, but to me growing up with the other films it didnt feel like an Indy movie. True That Indy needs to fight someone, but I guess I liked the Nazi more, maybe Im just nitpicking at that. The movie was well acted, but I do feel Shia Lebuff did a poor job, but I dont like him. The best aspect about KotCS is that they did actually made it 20 years later. Maybe KotCS needs a 2nd view.

  • I agree with you completely

riding into the sunset is how i see indiana jones ending

  • Pirates 3!

    *runs away*

Don't they get that tons of CGI isn't that entertaining, we were kinda bored

  • Totally agree, I think the viewing public are getting tired of lazy film making whereby directors just say "we'll just cg it".

  • It's not lazy film making, but it just removes the tension and feeling to an extent

Indy 4 is pretty good overall I'd say

  • There is that, but I think that much of the cg used replaces model and stunt work. It's basically easier to say we'll do it in post production forgetting that it takes away from the reality of stunt work and the use of good models. CG is a great tool for doing things you can't do in camera, but I use the word lazy when directors opt for cg because it seems they can't be bothered working out how to do it any other way.

  • yeah some of the clever ideas of the originals were quite neat

I like the heads at the end of Raiders

  • i love the accent. you are my favorate person on the planet

  • unfortunately i disagree with tarzan and fridge. i agree with everything else, especially the science fiction. i do hope they make another one

  • The cgi in Jurassic Park is amazing and was combined with Anamatronics. This movie was just crap from the get go.

  • cant stand this accent...

  • Haha cheers.

Well it's the one god gave me so can't do much about it :p

  • personaly i love the scotish accent

  • brilliant!

  • Thx, I'm glad you enjoyed it, more reviews are on the way :)

Feel free to suggest a review you'd like to see.
