  • Sorry but the best Bond was Roger Moore

  • @amodulares can someone pls do a roger moore montage to this song? Dalton was great and all but...there's only one roger

  • Only a-ha out of all the bond singers could make this the end credits song and not the theme song. I This movie had my two favourite bond songs from an incredible male vocalist in Morten and a great female vocalist shown here.

  • Timothy Dalton was such a wonderful Bond. To anyone who might not know--The Living Daylights actually outperformed its predecessor A View To A Kill in the U.S. at the box office. L.T. Kill didn't fare as well and a several years long lawsuit between United Artists and Danjaq was ultimately the undoing of the Dalton era. SADLY. He was fantastic. This song should have been the theme to TLDaylights in the opening credits.

  • She is hot! And a voice to match.

  • dalton was a good bond but not that good he only did two films

  • never would have expected such a lushly romantic song from the pretenders. that's what i love about james bond theme songs; it always pushes the artist in a direction that what they're commonly known. the man that chrissy hynde is describing in the song even rivals the legendary bond and when i think of bond i think timothy dalton and daniel craig own the crown although sean connery can never be forgotten even though there was a bond before him.

  • @petercox9 The music was written by John Barry as far as I know.

  • She makes me pay attention, ahem.

    .

    .

Simply said, I`d " hit it " like a 50 megaton nuclear weapon

    .

  • Chrissy has a great voice, and she looks very pretty in this video.

  • Chrissy is a beautiful woman with a great voice.

  • Great song by a fantastic singer.

  • wish i could buy this version on itunes

  • A great song for the most handsome and romantic James Bond, Timothy Dalton.

  • one of my favourite pieces of bond music .and a great bond movie

  • A lovely sad and haunting tune x

  • Just watched Living Daylights and had to find this song straight away, Great song by Chrissy :)

  • @MADMARK00 Me too, did you see it on ITV?

  • @MonkeymagicsMum Oh yes, hadn`t seen it for ages and couldn`t remember this song..... so glad i watched it again :)

  • @MonkeymagicsMum ITV is great for hungover Saturday James Bond matiness

  • @Thunderwing88 amazing song :)

  • george lazenby, timothy dalton as the best bonds what a joke; the original 007 was the one and only, Sean Connery rocked as James Bond and he's the only true bond compared to any others

  • @12qw34er56rt Dalton was as good if not better as Connery. Moore brought a touch of comedy into the series and Brosnan fucked everything up. Craig is OK at best, better than Brosnan ever was.

  • @danr8472 Why do people had Brosnan so much I thought he was Great(Better then Craig) Brosnan just got stuck with bad Scripts

  • Fabulous number! Thanks so much for posting.

  • Without a doubt, George Lazenby was the best Bond starring in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Diana Rigg was great, as was Telly Savalas. The plot line in his movie was continued in For Your Eyes Only, showing the grave of Mrs. Bond. It was also continued in The World Is Not Enough where the English translation of his family's slogan was revealed.

  • Chrissie Hynde is a legend.

  • John Barry was a genius! R.I.P

  • RIP john barry

  • John Barry And Chrissie Hynde I love this song

  • Dalton was highly underrated, but unfortunately, being a good actor doesn't help you when playing Bond. The general consensus puts Brosnan and Moore near the top of the list, so it's clear people want a cartoonish, predictable Bond. As soon as Bond becomes remotely like a human being, they head for the exits. The Bond of the novels was most like Craig. Gritty but vulnerable. Connery was so good that Fleming wrote his last Bond novels with him in mind.

  • @surfer53 Yeah, Moore was good if you picture James Bond hanging out in Bus Station mens rooms at night trying to blow soldiers coming home on leave.

  • She looks great..

  • TY CB!! Your friend.....Rashad!! :)

  • @imdriver39 YOU ARE!!! Anything for you!!!

  • @imdriver39 YOU ARE!!! Anything for a friend ... glad you enjoyed .... i'm gonna look you up on here and subscribe to yours as well ... much love to you!

  • Timothy Dalton as James Bond and the music of the late John Barry (sung by the lovely Chrissie Hynde). What an awesome combination.

  • Timothy Dalton IS the man! The most underrated 007!

  • CLASSIC BALLAD

  • jebe kevu. That is performance! OMG wat we shall do when Pretenders stop to play.

  • Chrissy Hynde outdid herself in this one I think. Whoever directed this video did a great job with her.

  • Dalton was the best Bond.

  • @TheMate01 totally agree, and Licence to Kill the best ever

  • @TheMate01 what? ever heard about SEAN CONNERY and ROGER MOORE?

  • sorry i did wrong I LIKE THIS SONG WERRY WERY MUTCH

  • Alexdelarge90 & mclarenmercedes are Turk phsychos

  • Amazing, she has turned into Shirley Bassey for this song...

  • @MrAugustus88 everybody ages nothing reverses the ageing process there is no fountain of youth we are not metal robots we are carbon cycle beings based on cellular divison some cells dont divide and nobody knows why thats what causes ageing .

  • @MrAugustus88

And you are one of those that can judge how a "jew" looks like no doubt. Wasn't it enough Craig is blonde and blye-eyed? No he looks like a "russian-slave", rather than a "russian-tatar" or "russian-chechnyan" or whatever. You are disgusting and stupid to boot. What does a Greek know about how northern Europeans "look" like anyway?

You are flagged. Go rot in hell with your idol Hitler.

  • Easily one of my favorite Bond movie and Timothy Dalton is Underrated.....He's a billion times better then the current Bond actor!!!

  • This song brings back some the best moments I had in the 80s.. TD = Tall, Dark and.. Handsome. Sadly, only 2 Bond movies to his credit..

  • Does anybody know where could I find this song to download? Is this the right name of song cause I can't find it anywhere...

  • oh i luv this! =))

  • I have the 45 to this. :-)

  • Chrissie is very attractive in that outfit ;)

  • This a true beauty, Mrs Hynde is true beauty not monkeys like anjelina jolie, Monica belucci and Beyonce. i hate ugly women.

  • @MrAugustus88:

Anjelina Jolie's ugly...and has the most disgusting lips ( compare with Chrissie's) but Monica Belucci and Beyonce are not ugly... on the contrary - quite feminine !

  • @MrAugustus88 I think you need to go to get your eyes tested.

  • @MrAugustus88

You also hate your own life. Are you a troll by any chance?? In case you're not I feel sorry for you, but more sorry for those that have put up with your shit.

  • @MrAugustus88 I agree that Angelina has nasty lips, but I think Monica is a very beautiful woman.

  • chrissie hynde has such a lovely/haunting tone to this

  • love love love song thank you wowwo me encanta cancione gracias

  • I love her! and I just recently discovered her and the Pretenders.

  • As i just posted on A-Ha's "the Living Daylights" video, a great song for a bad Bond!

  • @sagan1976 It wasn't a bad Bond, it was just bad dumb people that underrated him and missed the point of the new sensitivity he brought to the role.

  • @jojo34209 Yes, we the bad dumb people who lack sensitivity or miss the point are terrible...

  • @sagan1976 Let SARCASM be the weapon of the witless.

  • @jojo34209 One aims to please.

  • If there was a man I could dream of, I'd dream about a dream come true. If there was a man I could ever love, I'd wait a million years for someone just like you. All my life I've been belated. Never taking any chances...always hesitating. Where's the payoff? Where's the glory? Where's the one I'm holding out for? Was he walking through the door, the one that you walked through...if it isn`t you?

  • If there was a man I could dream of, I'd dream about a dream come true. If there was a man I could ever love, I'd wait a million years for someone just like you. Happy endings never find me! I'd put all my fantasies and hopes of love behind me. All my moments overdue but...If there was a man out there for me I wish it would be someone who could love me true. If someone was you...

  • I love this song!! Thank you for putting it up!

  • This bitch has to adopt kids and shut the heck up.

  • This Song SHOULD'VE been the theme song to the bond it was in.

  • This should have been a number 1 hit and a constant presence on radio for all time. This world tends to suppress the truly sweet and beautiful and anyone who dares shine a light into the darkness.

  • @muzicul You said it.

  • I like that song.

  • AWESOME Song

  • Am i the only one who thinks Timothy Dalton was the best ever Bond, and Maryam D'Abo the best ever Bond girl?

  • @raspberrybaggio i think dalton was perfect bond he played the character more convincely then roger moore

  • @raspberrybaggio Agree about Dalton being the best Bond, but D'abo best girl? Not by a long shot. She was a fine Bond girl, but nothing like Carey Lowell, Michelle Yeoh, Maud Adams, Barbara Bach, Eva Green, Honor Blackman, Ursula Andress, Diana Rigg and Halle Berry, who are far more memorable and magnetic.

  • @jojo34209 Until the advent of Craig Dalton was best, now they're kind of even, Dalton only missed out on having a script like Casino. D'Abo wasn't the best, but she had something over a couple of those on your list.

Funny, but based on their chemistry I thought Dalton and D'Abo would have made perfect Sparhawk and Ehlana, but then people would have compared her to her cousin, who did Conan with Arnie...

  • @Prod1Kh Nah, all those ladies walk circles around D'abo. The script was not the problem, both Dalton movies performed very well worldwide, it was the production company having financial troubles, hardly any different than what is going on now with Craig.

  • @jojo34209 Daylights was too complicated and it was all about a little drug deal. All the movies before that had been about a loony who wanted to blow up the world. Stromberg, Drax, Zorin (Blofeld clones) and Khan who wanted to detonate a nuclear bomb. Then we get Koskov's diamonds/drugs/weapons trade. It was a more complicated thriller, but it didn't feel as big. And you need to check the numbers again. Until Goldeneye Moonraker was the highest grossing Bond. Licence did not do well.

  • @Prod1Kh No, you need to read what I said better; I said worldwide, which 156 million dollars was a good take worldwide, regardless how it performed in the U.S. That is not a bad take for a 35 million dollar budgeted film.

  • @jojo34209 I'm not from the US and wasn't talking about US profits.

  • @raspberrybaggio

From my experience, yes. The vast majority of people I know think he was the worst.

  • @raspberrybaggio You probably aren't, Bond's portrayers are a source of eternal discussion. As for me, i'm sorry but Timothy Dalton is as good a Bond as a brick could be! No one is a better Bond than Mr. Connery. I even dare to believe that Lazenby is better than Dalton. Like so Connery - Brosnan - Moore - Craig (yes, he did a hell of a job in Casino)- Lazenby - Dalton. I don't think he embodies any of the traits of Bond. I've read some of the books and can never picture him in any scene!

  • sexy women.

  • Great song to end a great movie with.

  • They should have opened the movie with this song instead of that A-Ha bullshit...

  • Best Bond tributes in my view. And the also unforgettable: Where Has Everybody Gone, which even tops this great song.

  • JEEZUS she's so goooood. Period.

  • Does anyone know where the sheet music for this song can be found? I adore this song and would love to learn how to play it on the piano.

  • @MissSabc23 you're an idiot

  • at the end of living daylights nice song thanks 4 posting

  • Wow hope you can sing well, not an easy song to perform! Kudos as well, not sure I could pull that off...

  • Chrissie is truely a classic beauty and a Rock goddess!

  • Chrissie is truely a classic beauty and a Rock goddess!

  • Beautiful music by Barry but the words written for this don´t quite fit this song.

  • Probably the best Bond theme song.

  • it's not a theme song.

  • Best female voice in rock music. This 007 theme song is an exceedingly beautiful and rare piece of music.

  • Cold chills down my spine... =)

  • I love this song...and my fave Bond movie <3

Timothy Dalton IMO is the best Bond

  • My personal favorite Bond film, and short story of the same name.

  • I'm so in love when she is singing and so heartbroken when the song is over. I saw her this year at the House of Blues - Houston. The sound was incredible studio quality. The most unpretentious Pretender ever. What a lovely woman.

  • The Pretenders did a great job - very nice Bond song!!!

  • Was this song ever a hit.

  • I also believe the best songs should come in last

  • She is so beatyfull !!, if she would ask me to cut my veins, for her just to have fun, I could do it with out second thought.

  • This also was one of my fav. Bond movies in the franchise's history. Tim Dalton was quite a change from Roger Moore in his interpretation of Bond. Dalton's portrayal was more dark and serious compared to Moore, (and Pierce Brosnan who followed him). Dalton's interpretation is comparable to Daniel Craig's who has done the last 2 releases. Not quite sure why Dalton only did two Bond films. He was much better than Brosnan, IMO.

  • I feel the same way. Dalton's interpretation may be the most accurate tothe book series.

  • there was going to be a third Dalton Bond film in 1991, but legal issues with the producers of the franchise, and a poor box office draw from license to kill, made them scrap that project and revamp the character in Goldeneye

  • @jeffman61 The studio was having internal problems, bankruptcy, being bought by another company, which stalled the franchise for a couple of years. By the time they were up & running again, Dalton felt he was too old and that too much time had passed so he politely backed out. It's really sad. If only he'd gotten cast in "For Your Eyes Only"...

  • @jeffman61 george lazenbys manager owned the pirate radio station caroline he told him dont sign a long term contract bond is becomeing passe, marlon brando tuned down lawrence of arabia he didnt want to sign a long term contract .

  • @jeffman61

I agree. Many think that Dalton actually got the closest to how Bond was portrayed in the novels by Ian Fleming. Sadly Dalton's two movies (both incredible underrated) never did that well in the United States, so Dalton never got to do his 3rd movie. Personally I think Dalton should have made 3 more Bond movies at least in the early 90's.

Sadly we got Goldeneye in 1995, which made Bond a comicbook hero again. Brosnan was just Moore all over again but with 90's style.

  • @jeffman61 I LOVED dalton(and iMO he was the prototype for Craig) as for Moore and Brosnan those two where also two of my favorites. BUT I agree it was sad that dalton only did two =(

  • One of the better love theme songs in the James Bond movie history, IMO. You heard this slow theme played throughout the movie, then performed by chrissis hynde during the final credits.

  • Should have been on the opening credit's not at the end, one of the best Bond songs ever.

  • perfection

  • One of my favorite songs to, dear Phoenix Devil Buster...

  • kinda reminds me of james bond film just before the openening scene. LIke Diamonds are forever james bond movie

  • i didnt know chrissie hynde was so pretty

  • Looking at other videos I dont think she is but its amazing what a bright light in the face can do

  • That what i said too...wow she is pretty..

  • what kind of lesbian?

    Butch or cute?

  • Is it gay to be a man and like this song?

  • Not in the LEAST!!!

  • @hfl2005

NO! It's pure class, and so is Chrissie, and NEITHER have f*** all to do with sexual orientation!

  • Dalton was highly under rated as Bond

Brosnan was a joke and his movies cartoons

    Invisible cars indeed

  • this is best underated bond-song

  • How could this not be on the "Best of Bond" album? D:

  • I absolutely LOVE this song!!

Is this the official music video?

  • craig sucks... hes just like matt damon in the bourne identity, dalton was bond, bond is all about the gadgets, Q, moneypenny etc this new bond shit is just like a regular action movie

  • Chrissie Hynde is the one that is sexy.

  • @clusterstudios she has a beautiful voice

  • A man like you... With money!

  • Be4autiful song!!

    If only that man existed!!

I loved Dalton as Bond. he was so sexy!!!

  • dalton, craig, and connery the best bonds

  • essa musica me remete a uma epoca fantástica..

    Tanks, Phoenix!!!!

  • Dalton IS Bond

  • Technically he WAS. I think Craig is Bond now. And a decade from now it'll be somebody else.

  • Classy , stylish , emotional- magnificent !

  • You can always rely on Chrissie to deliver a piece of greatness.

  • you mean a piece of ass. Man I would so do her. I hope she is single

  • You know she's more than 20 years older now, right?

  • Only us few... appreciate such beauty. In song, and in life.

  • Better than the a-ha theme that was used for the film's main titles.

I'm mad that it isn't on iTunes

  • I love this song! So underrated and Tim Dalton was such an underrated Bond!

  • One of the best Bond songs, and totally agree Dalton was a superb bond.

  • @Aljess Agreed. The problem being because he did two COMPLETLY different type of bonds(He still played the charecter the same but the stories wern't simular. TLD was more a Classic bond story when LTK was more a...Well Craig bond lOL)

  • @Aljess Dalton, was a fantastic Bond, but he was given two terrible Bond rolls, which no one could recover from...well that's what I think anyway

  • Essa musica me remete a uma epoca fantástica...

    Tanks, Phoenix!!!!!

  • A few weeks ago I woke up to see the end credits scrolling by to the Bond movie and while still in a dreamy state heard this mesmerizing song for the first time. The video and song is one of the best ever.

  • I Love This Song Timothy Dalton is So Hot!!!!!!

  • Her sound is unimitated, great song, tks.

  • Wow, I'm so happy I can hear this song again! I've looked just about everywhere to find this track. A beautiful song.

  • If there was a man, Timothy Dalton would be it. He was gorgeous in The Living Daylights.

  • I really miss the 80's. =(

  • what a beautiful song..please if anyone can send it to my in MP3 I'll be so thankful.....in my country is very dificult to do it....txs for adding this song..

  • perfect bond song... should have been the opener in the movie

  • Anyone: did Chrissie Hynde co-write this song with John Barry? A much bigger fan of the Pretenders than of 007, I somehow missed this 20 years ago. I can't believe I never heard this until now!

  • Yes, Chrissie Hynde co-write this song with John Barry and Where has Every Body Gone from the same soundtrack

  • Thanks, PDB. Great song. Can't stop listening to it now.
