  • Great song. So catchy.

  • Upon thinking about it, I think this song IS indeed about S.M. Stirling's Change series. There are some situations in the lyrics that literally happened in the first book, or that are refered to in the later ones.

  • Awsome. This song makes me think of S.M. Stirling's "The Change" series, and his other series that were set before and after it. Many of the characters attribute their survival to the training and experience they recieved in the SCA. Not just the fighting aspect, but also things like having a working knowledge of medievil technology. I can say that fighting in the SCA (heavy) has made me better at more than just fighting. It teaches you about body mechanics, reflexes, and such.

  • Need to learn how about tu use the sword...

  • sounds like the begging of a heros guild >.<

  • Sounds like the Apocalypses is here.

  • @ElionoNailo I give it 20 years.

  • Battle would it not be called? And why pikes? Why not maniples and Roman Cohorts? Way more flexible as a fighting force, as the Diadochi learned.

  • @ARP7777777 and the swiss square even more so...but it's just evolution. In a fight pole arms are better than a sword. Heck a well weilded quarter stave will take out an armored soldier with blade and shield.

  • This definitely sounds like teh Celestrians (dragonquest 9). The "cops" (triumgorate) were worse then rude. there backup radios were dead and shortly so were they. OMGZ Corvus deja vu! He gots imprisoned and my char killed the captors off. GEEZ learn some humility, CORVUS!! Braggy showoff.... If mortals are so obsolete why dont u kill Apus Major become leader of Celestrians and WAGE WAR?? HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO POISON ONE GEEZER?? (He`s so ambitious. Ahahaha! dq9`s Voldemort!)

  • lawl! There backup radios were dead and shortly so were they! Hahaha! (punch line understood) I`m happy I can use a sword and shield because my dad taught me his dad taught him etc. I`m a girl so thats unusual. I prefer using the dagger that used to belong to my great great grandpa or so though because its lighter and easier to use. Shield? Dont ask. I dont even KNOW which of my ancestors owned it. Its pretty though. And I can use it pretty well. But enough bragging, I luff this song. My top 10

  • I'm glad i do Pennsic and i know how to use a sword and sheild. :) :) :)

  • Nice one! Like "Dies the Fire" without the fanboyishness...!

  • may bast and bess bless her for taming honesty with humour.

  • i love this song!!

  • There's a parody of this called "Serious Steal" it's hilarious, I would love to see that one uploaded here.

  • The 'battle' I guess is what they mean by war. It being a term for a division of an army

  • @ARP7777777 I think they mean the Pennsic War itself: it's as much a location as an event

  • The SCA meets WW III ;)

  • @us71 lol

  • THIS SONG MAKES MY TOP 10 SONG LIST
