  • Is there a belt guard somewhere on the tractor? I had the same sound being made on my John deere 210 after i put new belt on, i went to check where it was coming from and it was coming form one of the belt gaurds rubbing on the pulley.

  • Your tires are on backwards.

  • check the clutch plate lube that like a fucker

  • were did u get those tires? i have the exact same tractor

  • check the head pipe i had the same thing

  • is your hydrolic pump unhooked, sounds like its still turning

  • Man that thing sounds like a siren! you ever figure out what the problem was? Wow thats loud,~!

  • sounds like the starter gear

  • hi i am gravelydog@yahoo.com //your input bevel gear and cross shaft are shim too tight Don't run it to you reshim her or big bang in trans grande

  • Why are your tires on backwards....?

  • nate do what i do crank the radio or put a loud exahust

  • Sounds like the cluster gear that is on the end of the crankshaft is engaging too deeply with the transmission gears. The depth is set with the thickness of the thrust bearing races that are between the gear and the engine adapter plate. Come to Yahoo Groups - gravelyclub, and we will help you figure it out.

Nice restoration, BTW. Good job. ; )

  • posibly a bering ot ur drive chain

  • EPIC TUNE!

That tranny does sound bad, cant help you about it though, probably is a bearing like everyone is saying!

I can see why you dont want to use it, its loud!

  • a bearing or two or three

  • i gota little cuzin that rebuilds the motors and transmissions on them things, if you get back to me i will ask him and show him what your tractor is doing.

  • wow you have worse sounding bearings in that than my 1977 john deere's variator pulley bearings.

  • Definately a bearing, Tear her down and fix it! good luck!

  • oo thats nasty!! i thinks its a bearing!

  • that is definitely a bad bearing or more then 1 bearing in the gearbox or the drive its self. either it leaked too low on fluid in the transmission or the fluid life was extended way longer then it was intended for. gonna have to tear it down and check each bearing by hand. it only takes 1 bearing to squeel like that

  • woopse didnt watch the whole vid before i posted that....

  • haha, yeahh

  • its possible your fluid is low...i know it sounds simple but its possible.

  • grease all the driveshaft joints.

  • there are no drive shaft joints, just gears, and they are perfectly lubricated

  • is there an advantage to having the ags on backwards?

  • i have heard rumors, but they are only on backwards because when i switched them from another tractor (Because m snow chains arnt big enough for those ags,) the wheels are cub wheels and are indented far, and in the order i took them off in i could only pu them backwards, i just havnt had time to switch them to face normally

  • @Redneckfarmer77 ags on backwards are bad. When you are stuck spinning you want the mud/snow to be pushed outward, with ags on backwards mud/snow gets pulled inward, compounding the problem

  • the ag tires backwards give like twice the traction but if theres mud they will clog up in no time

i did it on my four wheeler and if the mud was like 3 inches or less and i kept the tires spinning fast enough it was great cuz they cleaned out but in the deep mud they clodded up WAY to much to be worth it

  • Check My tractor Forum they Might know Nice tractor

  • ask golfcarttractor he will probably know

  • I agree he probably has the answer.
