But Oprah Winfrey has long hair.She admits to wearing half wigs, at times, to keep her hair healthy. Gotta limit heat in the hair! Andre Walker, her stylists, knows what he's doing because the proof is in the pudding. She doesn't pay him big $ for nothing!

@shaqimianj Wasn't speaking on the Chris Rock segment. I see sisters on youtube with beautiful long hair. Their tips has help me to take care of my hair and to achieve its longer look. I was on Oprah show as well a different one from Chris Rock, she should know if its her own hair or not. She even did a show just about extensions and she said I am wearing some even showed how it was put into her hair, and a clip on her hair stylist putting them in.

She clearly has a head full of natural beautiful thick healthy hair, but she would never wear that on TV.
@WomanNredd Lol, even I fine that to be funny if one don't wear extension you still know what they are and that show went nation wide just as the rest of her shows. Nevertheless don't have to send a personal clip to you research it because those that are faithful and viewing just about all of her shows saw it, the only thing I can tell you is to call Harpo studio and enquirer about the hair extensions show and clip were they were being added to her own hair.

@jhonnetta im goin to grow it out for about a year and then cut it. because after having shoulder length hair all my 17 years of life lol when i finally passed it i dont want to hurry and cut it off. im goin to grow it out by using sew ins for the whole year of 2011 and maybe some of 2012 by then my new growth will grow out and when i cut off the relax ends ill have about shoulder length of natural hair... thanks for askin :) this is excitin for me because i have never seen my natural hair..!

I like her natural hair.I think its pretty.of coarse her ironed hair is pretty too,but I like it both ways.Its so bad ironing your hair.I used 2 do it everyday & after a few yrs it eventually burned off.Its best 2 straighten w/a blowdryer & iron on med setting.I learned the hard way.Always in a hurry & useing the hottest setting.Not a good idea.I just get up earlier 4 xtra time now.

if oprah's hair is this long KINKY...why isn't it longer relaxed or pressed? hmmmmmmmmmmm. the hair doesn't shrink with straightening processes. It should be much longer. Another thing...when you get a close up of her hair when it's straightened...look around the front. The pieces are short and stick up and away from the other hair. I would like to know that this is her real hair but having done hair myself, something is fishy. There are weaves that look like this.

She has some photos from the beauty contest she did when she was much younger and her hair was very long even then. Plus they didnt have kinky weaves back then- at least not to my knowledge.I don't think she wud be making it up. She got enough money to get the best possible treatment for her hair. When Solange was on her show and an audience member asked her why she didn't go natural herself she spoke about how she would not feel comfortable with short hair and it would not go well with her face etc. She actually implied that she was relaxed. It just looks like a mild relaxer than hasn't been left on all the way.. people do that you know.. There are girls rocking curls with relaxers..
That is her natural hair. She said the picture (with her hair out) is what her hair looked like before it was PRESSED and curled in the morning. Pressing hair is like flat ironing it. You straighten with heat. Not only is her hair natural but she said she wears weaves and braids to "keep" her hair cause in order to keep it healthy, you can't put heat in it everyday. She quit relaxing her hair LONG time ago after a bad perm made her go bald.
@katina217 And where are you getting your information from? I don't recall her telling anyone on national television whether or not her hair was relaxed or natural. Thick hair with texture does not automatically mean someone is chemical free. You can also "press" relaxed hair too. Not everyone with a relaxer has stick straight hair. She can be either or.. but until someone has proof they can stop claiming she is this or that. She does imply that she is relaxed though.

@CaptainKahuna1 Not all blacks emulate Caucasian hair. And Caucasian women, with some of the long, straight hair that they have, they still don't know what to do with it. Whether black women are wearing weave, or wearing it natural, the ones that care about their appearance take damn good care of their hair, and better than many Caucasian women at that. As you claim, white people have good hair but that doesn't mean they have healthy hair. White people hair gets dry, damaged, and full of lice.

All I can say is i'm about to go natural my damn self, when I first get a perm my hair be looking great but after a year or 2 wow ! something goes all wrong I be like what the fuck?? My hair use to be thick as hell but now it looks like I need a chia earth garden kit, yall pray for me LOl. Not sure what folks call natural but if I had money I would be wearing a wig or two right about now. By the way Oprah does have nice hair natural or permed too me...

@jhonnetta im goin to grow it out for about a year and then cut it. because after having shoulder length hair all my 17 years of life lol when i finally passed it i dont want to hurry and cut it off. im goin to grow it out by using sew ins for the whole year of 2011 and maybe some of 2012 by then my new growth will grow out and when i cut off the relax ends ill have about shoulder length of natural hair... thanks for askin :) this is excitin for me because i have never seen my natural hair..!

@wwhitney30 Yes, it would be fun and refreshing to see the "Afro" again. The original and/or post-1970s updates. It was a fun, natural and liberated look, as on the Jackson Five and Pam Grier. It should always be an option to wear one's hair in whatever style (natural or not) one chooses.

I like her natural hair.I think its pretty.of coarse her ironed hair is pretty too,but I like it both ways.Its so bad ironing your hair.I used 2 do it everyday & after a few yrs it eventually burned off.Its best 2 straighten w/a blowdryer & iron on med setting.I learned the hard way.Always in a hurry & useing the hottest setting.Not a good idea.I just get up earlier 4 xtra time now.

@ProudRacist Oprah wears a ton of make-up which makes her nose simply appear a bit more symmetrical; however, she hasn't gone under-the-knife like most celebrities her age! Can't you tell by what she looks like under her eyes without the makeup on, which she does not hide off

if oprah's hair is this long KINKY...why isn't it longer relaxed or pressed? hmmmmmmmmmmm. the hair doesn't shrink with straightening processes. It should be much longer. Another thing...when you get a close up of her hair when it's straightened...look around the front. The pieces are short and stick up and away from the other hair. I would like to know that this is her real hair but having done hair myself, something is fishy. There are weaves that look like this.

@shespeakstroof It IS long. Don't you see the curls at the end? She got a prress and curl and not a press out. She has some photos from the beauty contest she did when she was much younger and her hair was very long even then. Plus they didnt have kinky weaves back then- at least not to my knowledge.I don't think she wud be making it up. She got enough money to get the best possible treatment for her hair. Besides, you can tell pple with thick hair by looking at around her big head & hair line.

@dancenijas Okay..if you say so. All I know is that if you watch oprah's hair closely..you'll see the lil' pieces in the front that didn't quite blend in with the rest....it's a different texture! Either her real hair is very resistant or her hairstylist is hitting the bottle. I'm not saying that she doesn't have long hair...I'm sure her hair is nice, I'm just saying something is "questionable" around the front. it's too obvious.

When Solange was on her show and an audience member asked her why she didn't go natural herself she spoke about how she would not feel comfortable with short hair and it would not go well with her face etc. She actually implied that she was relaxed. It just looks like a mild relaxer than hasn't been left on all the way.. people do that you know.. There are girls rocking curls with relaxers..

That is her natural hair. She said the picture (with her hair out) is what her hair looked like before it was PRESSED and curled in the morning. Pressing hair is like flat ironing it. You straighten with heat. Not only is her hair natural but she said she wears weaves and braids to "keep" her hair cause in order to keep it healthy, you can't put heat in it everyday. She quit relaxing her hair LONG time ago after a bad perm made her go bald.

@katina217 And where are you getting your information from? I don't recall her telling anyone on national television whether or not her hair was relaxed or natural. Thick hair with texture does not automatically mean someone is chemical free. You can also "press" relaxed hair too. Not everyone with a relaxer has stick straight hair. She can be either or.. but until someone has proof they can stop claiming she is this or that. She does imply that she is relaxed though.
