I live in the San Joaquin Valley, and our family appreciates the cleaner air in winter. We stopped burning altogether and purchased a gas insert for our fireplace. Then what about people who buy those manufactured logs for burning that has unknown substances in them, such as paraffin or wax? Are those worse than the cured real wood logs? If it were up to me, burning would be banned 100% because of suffering from asthma; which in this valley is terrible.
