i personally play airsoft and paintball and love both of those war type games and my opinion is that airsoft is a backyard sport or it can be in a seurios war type game and i like airsoft because ammo is cheaper and i believe paintball is more of a go 2 a field and play against a shit load of ppl and dive between cover 2 cover and i think that the 2 sports are basiclly the same except paintball is more expenisve and hurts more but airsoft guns break easily and paintball guns dont so there

This brings back memories. I havnt been airsofting at CPX since 08, but i do remember getting lit the hell up by a dude from the Elgin City River Rats. Cant remember his name, all i remember is him laying in the bushes letting me have it with an mp5. Sad part about it was...he was on my team. He was apologizing profusely after the round but i didnt hold it against him, was all in fun! Besides, them River Rat boys (and girls) are bad assess!!!

Its alot more of a tactical excitement as paintball is just you and another team running at each other shooting. Im not saying paintball isnt fun, and it's much harder to pull the "No I wasn't shot you faggot", but if you purchase a quality airsoft gun and good pellets, You should feel it.

@OscarMikePaintball There are the basic cheap pellets that you can get 10,000 for like 10 bucks, then there are the high quality ones which can do some damage. besides, if he was using a spring powered or low a battery powered gun, then that is most likely why. Guns that have Co2 are ones that hurt

Besides, airsoft is alot more tactical since you cant just run and gun dodging bullets. Range is longer, velocity of bullets is higher and the rate of fire is alot higher as well. I love airsoft because of the authenticity in the enviroment, and the tactics that you've learned in the army can be applied to the sport alot better than in paintball.

@RSfutbol I however like paintball out in the open, because it tends to be alot slower and relaxing compared to airsoft. Plus, it doesnt really hurt when you get hit, so you're not as careful about being shot, and you can therfor just run and gun. I like paintball alot, but it doesnt give me the same adrenalin rush as airsoft does. Plus I like the feel of a something that simulates a firearm, rather than a pipe with a Co2 tank used as the shoulderbutt, and a spacy looking magasin on top.

@robloxin it is very fun. all you need is a mask and your good. i play all the time and no one ever gets hurt. it stings a little and if your hit in the goggles all it does is ping off of em. half the time it doesnt even hurt you are just able to tell because you hear it hit you. believe me. ther is apsolutely nothing dangerous about it. im 14 and i play and me and tons of my friends go into the woods blocks away from my house with no adults around and nothing bad ever happens.
