Will this tripod adjust to a 90 degree angle? I want to mount stargazing binoculars on it and I want to be able to look straight up with them on a tripod while lying on my back.
@mycatisromeo Yes, the ball head has a notch that allows it to go 90 degrees. Once in the 90 degree position it can still rotate 360 degrees. Since all three legs have a wide range of movement it is my opinion that you should be able to do what you intend with this tripod.
Do you think i can use it with 7d+100-400 lens, attached to the ball head without falling to a side, is the ball head strong enough to hold the lens weight
@dacmone I don't have much experience with either of those items, however, when you tunk down on the set screw the ball head really does not move. I do not forsee a problem with that setup.
I don't see why a fluid drag head could not be used. The ball head on this tripod simply unscrews and can be removed. I don't have any experience with fluid heads for shooting video but it does seem like this tripod is probably lighter and more flexible than a dedicated video tripod. It might work fine but I just don't have the experience to say with certainty.
Thanks for the great review, i just got this tripod and i am amazed at the quality of this tripod. it is a bit on the heavy side but it is sturdy and build like a tank. I do recommend you check the screw to make sure they are not loose.
I don't have a macro lens so I haven't really done any macro photography. That being said when the legs are collapsed it is a very sturdy base. I see no reason why it could not be used quite successfully for macro photography.

The tripod is no longer available from Amazon.
Where can I buy one for now?
"Do you think i can use it with 7d+100-400 lens" No problem.
Purchased three already.

Can a fluid drag head for video, as the wf 717 A, be mounted on this tripod?

Thanks for the review. I am a little bit seasick from the camera work, but it was nice to see the tripod in action.
