  • I think the phone was uploading the images to the laptop in the picture for any heavy processing which is how the finished product probably would work.

Why process the data in the phone and deal with a 5 minute battery life or a phone the size of a brick when it would take a few seconds over 3g to send it to a server.

  • nice idea, but i doubt cell phones are the future. Something more like a direct brain link to the internet would do a much more efficient job. Something like a chip that works with the brain like a co-processor that has access to the net.

  • No more need to read things for yourself anymore.

  • reminds me of that red thing to recognize pokemon?

  • "WARNING: Contains Penis?"

Well, that's what it sounded like to me.

  • Prob get 1 min battery life- it's a phone why does everyone want a PHONE that does everything it's a sad sheepish trend that I will never follow, phones will always be slow and laggy and if I'm out, why would I wana surf the internet- I'd be out cos I'm busy, otherwise I'd sit indoors like I am now and surf online

  • why would the battery life be low, its just the same as a call

  • Well. Considering super computers are really super computers and can range from 100,000 to millions it would simply be way to much for the general public. Don't get your hopes up.

  • I hope they develop this for android...

  • Dude is Accenture developing these babies for mass market saleS??? I WANT ONE!!!

  • すごい~(@_@)!!!!!!

  • wohhhaa is that real!!!

  • very cool idear, but in my eperience this type of recognition technology is not very accurate when it needs to recognize lots of objects.

  • how much

    ?

  • That is awesome. I want one man.

It's like googling some stuff just pointing at stuff.

  • This seems amazing, but I'd like to know more. I don't fully understand what it is doing.

  • thats really good, and may have some uses, maybe it could also be used to help people who are blind or who have memory problems

  • Aren't accenture the guys makaing the vote rigging machines in America?

  • youre thinking of diebold

  • Accenture is the spin-off consulting arm of the now defunct Andersen Accounting group.

  • That and other "pointless technology" are the building blocks for future breakthoughs that could save your life someday.

  • And a lot of technology kills (military). Other technology makes people really stupid and lazy. Now, I have to send an e-mail while I sit on my high tech toilet.

  • I guess all the research doctors have been sitting on their thumbs all this time not trying to cure cancer. Do you know how much money is pumped into cancer research? Just throwing money at a problem won't solve it.

  • thats pretty awsome
