The guy doing Paul should try to play the bass left-handed, then the authenticity would be complete. They sounded great, though. When I first saw them I thought they were the real thing (Y'all did, too. Don' lie!).
Man if the guy that plays Paul would just learn to play left handed you guys would have it down. But Im enjoying it anyway. Real good job guys. Its hard to play music that is so imbedded in our memory that we can remember every note and every harmony and each guys voice. I can even remember which song comes next on all their albums.
Right handed base player. No go. This is as critical visually as harmony is musically. It does not look right for the Hoffner to be facing in the same direction as John and George's guitars. McCartney is not right handed and any tribute band that pays attention to detail cannot ignore that. If you grew up with them/are a true fan this does matter. I can't stress enough how much this does matter.
Just watched a bunc of Cavern Beatles videos. This is a little tired sounding. John once called this the original heavy metal song. This sounds more like muzak.
Fred-you should change your name to Captain Obvious.
when the beatles played this song live george used the 6 string, only 12 string on the record because he had to do that little solo bit after the middle 8 which wasnt on 12 string, because paul played it on the record
Good band, i saw them at market hall in south wales not so long ago, and the george had that 12 string Rickenbacker in the background, and used it once! He didn use in the most essential songs... including 'A Hard Days Night' !! How cud you not use it ? Thats the crutial suond for the song ! Overall good band, even tho tuned down a step, and when i saw them they eitha had a new john or a stand in ? :D peace :)
Have to say these guys are are a sa a a a ad lot and to think they even have day jobs... But hey maybe they'll catch on and make a bundle... Hey Beattle you like gold...? Give me a shotgun bar with a pool table and a house band and you'll hear the truth as for these twits we'll just turn the sound down and sing along... Rudely TaTa
Overall, its good. Ringo is playing most of the song wrong though. All three verses have different drum beats. He is playing the first verse pattern all the way through. He is also playing eighth note kick drum after the little guitar riff that comes back into the verse that are not on the record. Otherwise, I'm impressed.
they are good but to do a "Beatles tribute" ( which I know this is one...1. paul needs to more of his head bobble. 2. ringo looks too stiff behind the drums 3. John's stance is to square. george is fine. lol other than that paul sounds real accurate. john needs some work on harmonizing but really well done mates
Thought the big part was that they had Johns part down with that guy (hes 100% right on, looks n sound) but they have Pauls covered like 90%, sounds almost right on the mark, but plays righty.
I disagree kimaster. The part being played here by this "George" was in fact played by 2 ric 12 strings Georges 360/12 & johns 325/12. The lead breaks were played by Paul on his casino. If George used his strat (tho there is no evidence to say for certain he did) it was only incidental parts, which leads me to my original point of why not use the 12 string for this very obvious 12 string part ?
Seriously, these guys have nothing on the tribut band called "Rain: The Beatles Experience"
I went to their concert a few days ago. It's awesome, they start off with 60's era beatles songs and looks, and move into Sgt. Peppers...looks/music...then 70s beatles. it's soo awesome
Yeah I've seen those guys. I honestly think that they're the best ones who actually go the whole 9 yards and do the whole act. and I respect that. However, The Fab Faux just plays the music, and personally I prefer that more.
wow...vocal very close to lennon's own. maybe technically better, who knows...

Ringo is also left handed but being he was the drummer a tribute band can somewhat get away with that visual but not the base.

The Bee Gees did some good versions of this and other beatles soungs and actually could sound like them. No joke.

there is just no energy in this performance. at all. I know that no-one can match the beatles live but still.
bobjimofbendoerland 2 years ago
Great job on this. Nobody, not even the Beatles could replicate the 'energy' of this record live. This is as close as I've heard it done.

if he's got a rick 12 string behind him why the hell is he playing this on his Gretsch ??? insane !

George's part was originally played on a 1961 Strat, so a Gretsch is closer than a 12 string 360.
