If anything, the E46 is less likely to crash in many situations due to its more advanced electronic safety systems. (DSC+T) However, sometimes you cannot stop the inevitable and this is where you want the car to perform well in a crash, irrespective of whether it's got a BMW badge on the front or an Alfa badge.

I was just trying to say that Alfa spends more on other more important things (to me) rather than just the Euroncap crash tests (in fact, as far as I know, the 156 didn't actually take those tests). I can't argue about the E46 because I don't know it as much as the 156 (although, now that you mention it, RWD may be a serious problem for many inexperienced drivers under hazardous situations).

built on same platform as the fiat tipo which is also the same of the old fiat bravo and the lancia lybra that you could purchase until 2005 i belieive and the tipo was engineered in 1988... and the frame was actually ecceptionally good for fiat's frames of that age in fact it had been sold for nearly 20 years

@xemblemax Non è un test ufficiale EURONCAP quindi c'è poco da ragionarci sopra. Non sappiamo i criteri con cui è stato eseguito il test e quindi non è comparabile con quelli delle altre auto. Di sicuro in un test EURONCAP non avrebbe preso più di 3 stelle poichè la 147 ha avuto quel risultato.

Actually the 147 has a 3 star NCAP rating, which the 156 probably would have too since they share most of the chassis, which also happens to be the same rating as a mk5 Passat ;)
As far as this VIRAL video in particular, it cannot be taken seriously as it isn't an official NCAP test therefore no comparisons can be made and you can't even tell how fast the car was going. You could have the safest car in the world that if you ram it against concrete blocks at 200Km/h it'll still end a pancake.

Purtroppo non ho mai visto alcun crash test ufficale della 156. In youtube trovi solo questo.
Trovi invece crash test della 147. La 156 e' costruita sulla base della 147, in pratica sono la 3 porte, la berlina 3 volumi e la sportwagon.
La 147 non passa propriamente bene il crash test. La 156 e' piu' lunga, il che vuol dire piu' pesante. Se la struttura non e' stata rinforzata, la capacota' di assorbimento dell'urto e' anche inferiore alla 147.

The alfa romeo 156 have an old conception now and is not really solid and safety but the new alfa 159 is extremely solid and safety. Furthemore the alfa 159 is a pretty beautiful car.

If you search crash tests you'll find the results of the 156 crash aren't that much different to other comparable sized cars. I am still happy with my 156 ... when not in my Alfa I have a Ducati too so just don't crash is the best option.

@xemblemax Non è un test ufficiale EURONCAP quindi c'è poco da ragionarci sopra. Non sappiamo i criteri con cui è stato eseguito il test e quindi non è comparabile con quelli delle altre auto. Di sicuro in un test EURONCAP non avrebbe preso più di 3 stelle poichè la 147 ha avuto quel risultato.

Actually the 147 has a 3 star NCAP rating, which the 156 probably would have too since they share most of the chassis, which also happens to be the same rating as a mk5 Passat ;)
As far as this VIRAL video in particular, it cannot be taken seriously as it isn't an official NCAP test therefore no comparisons can be made and you can't even tell how fast the car was going. You could have the safest car in the world that if you ram it against concrete blocks at 200Km/h it'll still end a pancake.

Purtroppo non ho mai visto alcun crash test ufficale della 156. In youtube trovi solo questo.
Trovi invece crash test della 147. La 156 e' costruita sulla base della 147, in pratica sono la 3 porte, la berlina 3 volumi e la sportwagon.
La 147 non passa propriamente bene il crash test. La 156 e' piu' lunga, il che vuol dire piu' pesante. Se la struttura non e' stata rinforzata, la capacota' di assorbimento dell'urto e' anche inferiore alla 147.

Also, if a car was to fair this badly in a crash test, it would fail! So this is obviously fake. If it were real, the 156 would never have gone into mainstream manufacture.

The alfa romeo 156 have an old conception now and is not really solid and safety but the new alfa 159 is extremely solid and safety. Furthemore the alfa 159 is a pretty beautiful car.

è impossibile ke la golf si fermi da 100km/h a zero in 25metri...macchine come la bmw M3 e la porsche carrera si fermano in 34 e 36 metri..e montano freni in carboceramica con pinze decisamente più grandi di quelle di qualsiasi golf...lo spazio d'arresto della golf GT di ultima generazione è di circa 40 metri mentre la terza serie ce ne metterà 43o 44

Indubbiamente le VW sono automobili di altissima qualita', anche perche' sono auto vendute in tutto il mondo e provenienti da paesi con climi estremi (come volvo,saab.ecc).
La Golf ha salvato il destino della VW stessa... ma l'Alfa Romeo ha una cuore!E il cuore ha sempre ragione! :-)

If you search crash tests you'll find the results of the 156 crash aren't that much different to other comparable sized cars. I am still happy with my 156 ... when not in my Alfa I have a Ducati too so just don't crash is the best option.

è vero, l'alfa non esiste più (MA RITORNERA', VEDRAI CHE RITORNERA') e di certo la passat si è comportata meglio nel crash test, ma la prova della 156 sono certo che non è euroncap.
la 147 ha preso 3 stelle perchè ha registrato un ottimo test laterale, ma uno scadente risultato nelle prova frontale, migliorato con il restyling '04.
POI PERO' SE VOGLIAMO VEDERE CHI E' + VELOCE IN UN PERCORSO GUIDATO TRA LA 156 E LA PASSAT O TRA LA 147 E LA GOLF PER ME NON C'E' PROBLEMA COSI' VEDIAMO CHE RIDE...

non hai capito nulla, come al solito.
la golf ha preso 4 stelle (ottimo risultato, complimenti alla vw) la 147 3 (modello 2000) e ha registrato un ottimo test laterale, ma uno scadente risultato nelle prova frontale, migliorato con il restyling '04.
ti ripeto che nel crash test è andata meglio la golf, ma sottolineo che in un percorso guidato (di handling) la 147 si beve la tua amica tedesca. SONO STATO CHIARO O FARAI FINTA DI NON CAPIRE ANCORA???

e poi la 156 di colore giallo non e' mai stata disponibile!! e poi guarda del blocco blu dove va a sbattere la 156 come la 156 sbatte si piega invece doveveva essere fatto di ferro invece quando il blocco blu si peiga si vede che escono cose bianche apparentemente piume!! quindi e' tutto truccato !! non ci sono neanche i cristalli!! poi la 147 e' stata fatta sullo stesso pianale della 156 e' la 147 ha avuto 4 stelle euroncap

Tra l'altro la tenuta di strada della 147 è ancora oggi una delle migliori del proprio segmento.

E comunque una macchina con una migliore tenuta si comporta meglio anche nelle situazioni di emergenza,vatti a vedere le prove che vengon fatte di superamento dell'ostacolo etc... visto che parlavi di cani che attraversavano la strada (o di stronzi come te visto che dai del coglione a sproposito).Per quanto riguarda il colpo di sonno è colpa di chi guida che deve rendersi conto di fare una sosta.

1° non sono cazzi tuoi che macchina ho in mano però io spendo + 200 euro per i freni che no 400 per fare la centralina che poi quando vai a fare una frenata a 100 ti cappotti! quindi zitto... poi tutti i test euro& cup sono fatti alla velocità di 68 km\h per tutte le macchine! quindi è uguale per tutti..... e i video parlano da soli....
