  • I know, i know there is air and that the ecosphere is entirely enclosed, i just don't believe this one is an ecosphere. This has one little shrubby branch, and fish, that doesn't make sense.

  • This sucks! This is not an ecosphere. The top of this sphere was not shown because its not a closed system, someone put fish inside.

  • @JamesA2323 All you have to do is look at the other videos of this. It's completely enclosed, there's a bit of air on top of the water.

  • Ah 240p, we meet again.

  • @bouelf on 240p was quite a good quallaty tho

  • my sink is eco sphere

  • and this is how god created earth

  • what happens when the older animals die?

  • @lilyayora decompose, and become food.

  • @veyronman do the creatures reproduce then?

  • haha everytime i seen one of those in brook stone i shake it up LOL

  • Every time the shrimp molts it gets smaller. The amount of algae the "orb" produces is insufficient for growth. Overall it's an extremely poor quality of life until the shrimp expires due to the conditions. Honestly....where do you think the wastes are going?

  • @AquariaDesign If you give it more sunlight doesnt the algae grow a lot faster? Moron.

  • @Spring1234777 maybe if you go to ecosphere's website and look at the care section, you will see how the cycle works.

  • i heard that sphere tanks will cause the fishes to go blind cause of everything being magnified.....

  • this is something Chuck Norris invented

  • @chrisfball12 Chuck Norris is a creationist, and wouldn't know where to start, he would be still praying for it to work.

  • they dont las 15-20 years they last a year or 2 i was just on the manufacturers website

  • @robo250 Ive had mine for 5 years now and everything is still working with it...

  • @robo250 with every sphere its different some will last 2 years others can last 15-20 years

  • These could save our planet. These could prevent total extinction of everything when our planet ends. Wow...

  • thats the sort of shit that can survive 2012

  • PORN SHRIMP

  • I remember these being sold at a Natural Wonders store when I was a kid.

  • OMG IM GETTING ONE AND PUTTING IT IN A TIME CAPSULE IN A MILLION YEARS IT WILL EVOLUTIONIZE TO HUMANS LOL

  • @ion5061 LOL THEY WOULD DIE BECUSE THEY DIDNT GOT ENY SUN

  • @ion5061 evolutionize?? just 'evolve'

  • @Pirosbor

    Isn't it obvious that it's a joke?

  • @ion5061 LOL! You fucking crazy! I like the idea. :D

  • @ion5061

Yeah, and imagine the person opening the time capsule to find dead naked human corpses.

  • if one shrimp dies water turns poissonus?

  • sold! how much is shipping?

  • incerdible....

  • sm1 told me they slowly die??? :/ i dnt wanna kill lil shrimp for entertainment

  • the small ones go for 100 euros

  • good music

  • fish poop where does it end up

  • This is simply amazing O_o

  • Where do you get those and how much do they cost?

  • what do fish feed on and where the waste goes?

  • The fish feed on the algea - grown from sun(light) - algea photosynthesize and give off oxygen for shrimp - shrimp waste is eaten by bacteria - bacteria give off carbon dioxide for algea and the process continues

  • cool what size is yours? :)

  • i remember seeing this at brookstone too bad there not there anymore :( it was cool

  • the one where i live still sells them O.o

  • yes, these are cool i want one!

  • A small bit of peace on earth.

  • Fish dont live forever... So when they die wont their bodies root up the sphere or something???

  • No, the bacteria, algae, and other shrimp get rid of it within a few days everything is in perfect balance!

  • oh nvm

  • where do you get these?

  • send it into space and then if aliens see it they will be like wtf

  • LOL

  • LOL

  • Haha

  • @jerseykid565 it's too cold in space, you'll need to give it a heater :p and maybe some light too

  • @UndeadTheta not to mention the radiation!

  • @bscrill and the pressure and so on ... =)

  • @jerseykid565 hahaha

  • @jerseykid565 because of the music....

  • @jerseykid565 You just made my day, good sir!

  • wait, mine only has shrimp but i have the smallest one, so how did you get fish?

  • wow! simply amazing! talk about a low maintenance pet! do the animals breed? what are the animals and plants inside?

  • Yes - it is completely self sustaining. The plant grows algae because of the oxydisation with the air and then the shrimps eat the algae. They can last for up to 15-20 years.

  • @Prezzybox how much was it? and whered u get it? i remember seeing one when i was younger like maybe around 8 years ago and it was in some discovery store in the mall in san antonio but times change and im in el paso now (frekin desert) and i didnt know what they where called so i couldnt look it up when i was smaller so whered u get it at?

  • @Prezzybox but what about their own waste??

  • @Prezzybox In the wild they can live up to 20 years. In these torture devices the average is about 2 years as the shrimp slowly starves to death. And the only reason why they even make it to two years is because they are an extremely hardy shrimp. Most other shrimp would expire much much sooner.

  • @AquariaDesign LOL torture device

  • i have 1, dont need 2 do anything, really.

  • Awesome! I want one.

  • is it self sustaining? if it is that awsome!

  • Yeah it is. The sun feeds the bacteria and algea. Then the smaller animals feed off of dem. [=
