  • Bilbo Bagins is what his name, but my auto correct said, Bulbous Vagina....

  • everyone come look at my channel

  • 'Gothic Power' seems to be written just for this trailer...

  • WOW WHOEVER MADE THIS TRAILER DID NOT PORTRAY VISUALS VERY WELL. WAAAAYYY TOO MUCH FADING AND CLIP SWITCHING!! But this movie is one of my favourites! Gotta love the beautiful music, tension, scenery, darkness, laughs, and depth. Greatest series I have ever seen. :)

  • they really did these right

  • I was 10 when I saw this in the cinema...I'm 20 now and it is still amazing! They all are :D

Also, I'm so glad Peter Jackson was finally allowed to direct the Hobbit :D

  • eagles were in a civil war in the books

  • This trailer makes the movie look so cheesy haha

    Such a good movie, though.

  • The eagles didnt fly frodo to mordor for several reasons. The main one being that the whole point of the council at rivendell was to form a fellowship who would destroy the ring in secrecy-they would not take such a chance as to fly right over mordor, expose themselves, try drop the ring in etc. also the eagles are very cautious about where they fly as it states in 'the hobbit' (I believe) that the eagles have a dangerous relationship with local hutners since they prey on the local sheep.

  • @elvispressely Someone who knows lord of the rings lore! yay!

  • @elvispressely The eagles would not actually interfere. They are not allowed to interfere.

  • One does not simply return the ring in 1 movie

  • @DaSilverandBlack the eagles will take the ring for themselves

  • Vote Gandalf in 2012, vote Ron Paul

  • Next winter we'll get to visit middle earth once more; I cannot WAIT to go back to the shire!

  • "Lord of the Rings" is God-inspired literature.

Rivendell represents the angelic realm adjoining the Earth. Arwyn was an angel there. Angels serve people, an expression of their true natures.

Aragorn was created as a different spiritual being -- a son of God, meant to embody on Earth.

Arwyn loved Aragorn so much that she gave up the angelic realm for life on Earth with him. So she chose to embark on the path of mortality leading back to ascension. Her true nature was service.

    Anything for love.

  • truly an amazing movie, although I prefer Two Towers. I really like the first movies/books in a series because it introduces everything and it's so wonderful. I love LOTR and The Hobbit! they are fantastic stories/movies. thank you Mr. Tolkien and Mr. Jackson!

  • @Bluekuebiko It's called "Gothic Power" at 1:16

  • is a nazgul a dark rider in elvish?

  • @hylianpancakes it sounds like the black language to me

  • heyyy isnt d guy at 0:41 frm matrix!!

  • @susanshr ye

  • @halogod18 yeahh number 2 being wat?

  • Why doesn't Gandalf just give one of his super eagles the ring to drop into Mordor themselves?

  • Comment removed

  • @DaSilverandBlack Nazgul

  • @DaSilverandBlack The eagles tried to remain neutral in the affairs of others :) But they were friends of Gandalf nontheless and helped him when he needed it.

  • @TheMew4 I see

  • @DaSilverandBlack because there would be no point in making the fucking movie

  • @lolatmyfoot Thanks man

  • @DaSilverandBlack

because then there would be no books.

  • @DaSilverandBlack WELL THAT WOULDN'T MAKE FOR A VERY GOOD PLOT WOULD IT

  • @DaSilverandBlack Because they would have been killed by nazguls, it would be a suiside mission and then sauron would just have the ring back!

  • @DaSilverandBlack they actually answer that in the new game War in the North.

  • @DaSilverandBlack One does not simply fly into Mordor

  • @VoyeurTheNinja Haha I see what you did there

  • @DaSilverandBlack Because the eagle would succumb to the awesomeness of the ring, and would either hide in a cave creepily stroking it, or would try to use it to gain power for itself and rule all of Middle Earth.

  • @DaSilverandBlack Beacuse the family gay asked that :D

  • @polcsek10 Did not see that

  • @DaSilverandBlack You think the Nazguls will allow eagles to fly into Mordor? The eye will see them and send his beasts.

  • @lolcoaster90 Well I mean when they were at the Black Gates they caught the eye's attention. somebody could have done that too

  • @DaSilverandBlack Always Wondered That Myself

  • @DaSilverandBlack The Eagles were sent forth by Manwe after the Hiding of Valinor to protect Middle-Earth when the Valar could not any longer. They, however, could access Valinor. The Eagles were not allowed to directly interfere with the events of the people: the people of Middle-Earth had to eradicate Morgoth's evil themselves.

  • @DaSilverandBlack Lol, Gandalf can explain it to you on LotR War In the North when you see him in Imladris. You can actually ask him the question!

  • @DaSilverandBlack in the book, they say that the eagles have left because of mordors power. they didnt come back until the final battle

  • @DaSilverandBlack the eagles do what they want

  • @DaSilverandBlack I thought about this widely asked question for quite some time now and I realized. Even if they can command the eagles at will (which I don't think they can). The eye would see them and they would be taken out almost immediately by volleys of arrows from the orcs.

  • @DaSilverandBlack the eagles were supposed to drop the ring into Mt. Doom, but then they took an arrow to the wing.

  • @DaSilverandBlack because in the books it would have never worked. that eagle would have been turned into fried chicken.

  • @DaSilverandBlack in the book gwaihir, the king of the eagles, says he can only bear messages, and no burdens. which is a rubbish excuse anyway, but hey, the book needs a plot. wow, im such a nerd

  • @DaSilverandBlack he cant, the nazgul will stop him

  • @DaSilverandBlack because the movie would go for 20 minutes max and then the movie wouldn't be based on what Tolkien wrote you dumbass. i don't even know how that comment got thumbs up.

  • @mcspreggen Just a question chief take it easy

  • @DaSilverandBlack you never heard of the nazghul did you

  • @DaSilverandBlack cuz the flying nazgul things.

  • @DaSilverandBlack You wank off in sandals to pictures of Gandalf.

  • This is, and will forever be, my favourite movie.

    P.S. 1:04

  • This movie reminds me of Skyrim

  • @Koryo8 Skyrim reminds you of this movie*

  • I remember seeing this when I was 9 at my cousins house, after it came out. I am now 18, and still love these movies, and have the extended cuts. Lol I read all the books in elementary school too, my teachers would take them away saying they were too old for me lol.

  • best trilogy everrrr!!!

  • Not only beautiful books, but incredible beautiful films. Pure art and magic

  • facebook.com/pages/My-teachers-think-im-a-Balrog/357968270884342

  • the best movie ever!! i wanna now to leave in the lort word!

wih elves and men dwarves! the best film ever made miss u tolkien

  • "Orc I derived from Anglo-Saxon, a word meaning demon, usually supposed to be derived from the Latin Orcus – hell. But I doubt this, though the matter is too involved to set out here". - Tolkien.

The Lord of the Rings is a part of my life and will always be in my heart. Thank you, Tolkien and Peter Jackson.

  • what music is playing????

  • neato! :)

  • isn't that guy from the game of thrones

  • Is it possible to feel chills, tears and orgasms at once?

Yes, It's, just for watch this trailer.

  • Im always asking myself wich scene is 2:21, never seen it in the movies, even in the extra long version. someone knows?

  • @ZicoDuco That's when Grofindel mets Aragorn and the Hobbits, but in the movies they replaced him with Arwen.

  • @makexix im not talking about aragorn, im talking about legolos turning around and released an arrow like he is the creator himself.

  • @ZicoDuco

It is an abandoned concept from the movie. It would have been where the Fellowship was getting chased into Lorien after the events inside Moria

  • @Cardinals314 Goblins cannot move in daylight

  • AND MY AXE!

  • como se llama el soundtrack????

  • for some guys who dont know these movies!

    1. Felloship of the Ring

    2. Two Towers

    3. Return of the King

  • LOTR=TES

  • I have never seen these movies. I tried a couple times when it first came out but fell asleep half way through. I was thinking of trying again since everyone says it is a great trilogy but the trailer doesn't make it look all that great.

  • @finneram Art is not made for everyone.

  • Thumbs up if you've never seen these movies, and only begining to watch them in 2012 because of either Big Bang Theory or the Hobbit Trailer xD

  • Back when they first came out i was a huge fan of the lotr films. I had not seen the movies since 2004, when i this Christmas decided to give it another go. Now i found myself constantly embarrassed and annoyed by the unbelievably cheesy acting! There are other drawbacks, but man; the casting of Frodo and Sam could hardly have been worse. I used to think that Elijah Wood was the weak link acting-wise, but now i can't watch without facepalming whenever "Sam" is given a pompous line to deliver.

  • @aigg lol ladies and gentlemen, this is what you call a troll. Steer clear.

  • @powerd4400 I swear i'm not a troll. It's just i had this very surprising experience with a movie trilogy i used to love. I figure i see things differently now, being older than when the movies came out. The poor acting bothered me to such an extent that enjoying the films was not easy. Posted my somewhat sour comment only to see if anyone else felt the same way. Not my intent to be a negative asshole. I think there is lots of good acting in the trilogy, but Frodo and Sam were horribly miscast

  • Back when Christmas was FUCKING HARDCORE!

  • i'm gona play lord of the rings online now=) with the soundtrack of this trilogy playing also!!!

  • @halogod18 what's number 2?

  • About to watch this movie for the first time. Wish me luck and a wonderful Lord of the Rings fandom by thumbing this up!

  • guys Fellowship of the ring its first movie?

    lord of the rings 1?

    pls tell me :D

  • @ilovemyniga you are correct, Fellowship of The Ring is part one of the trilogy.

The Hobbit, is a type of prequel to part one which explains the adventures of Bilbo Baggins

  • @ilovemyniga Yes my friend, is the firts movie in the trilogy!!!

  • @ericneo101 ok tnx, but i cant find subtitle for this movie.. can u help me?

  • Fresh goosebumps, every 5 seconds.

  • I didnt remember it being so epic, downloading it right now

  • I saw this went it came out.. Never got into it.. I was too into Harry Potter. I know.. I should be smacked.

  • @VictoryFire88 Lord of the Rings is to Harry Potter what a lobster dinner is to a shit sandwich

  • my bro and sis just watched this and there 13 and 15 and im going to see it in less than a month when my bday comes around ill be 12 im so exited!

  • This is the greatest series ever! Great start to the epic saga! No other movies compare to this incredible story! Does anyone know the song at 1:54 (It's also in the War of the Worlds trailer)?

  • Man, me and my friends just watched all three of them in one day...That's 9 hours of movies, non stop...I LOVED IT :D

  • "Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for Mortal men doomed to die,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne,

In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie,

Oe ring to rule them all, One ring to find them,

One ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them,

In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie."

Thats what it sais on the ring for the majority of you who dont know.

  • @BanjoTheODSTBear lol it doesn't say ALL of that. It's just "One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them," on the outside of the ring, the inside is "One ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them".

  • I don't recognize 2:06

  • @giantchicken891 NEVER appeared in any movies, as 2:20

  • The hobbit is about to be an awesome movie...but its plot is nothing in front of the one of LOTR. ~LOTR is going to be the greatest movie ever maden!!~

  • Want to see a great fantasy film trailer? go to 'Crystal of the Gods' and wait to see it on the big screen.

  • It's the best movie of the world

  • Best trilogy ever!!! this movie trilogy kicked the Star Wars trilogy down to number 3 on my list.

  • @halogod18 then what is 2?

  • @halogod18 Lololol then what was number 2?

  • @halogod18 Number two being?

  • One does not simply love lotr

  • awesome story ever written.

  • Excellent movie! I also read the books and even though some things haven´t been mentioned or rather not explained, it is yet one of the best adaptions or maybe the best adaption ever made

  • probably one of the awesomest movies since star wars

  • 1.57 trolololol :D

  • thumbs up if u read the hobbit then wanted to see connections to the movie :P

  • there seriously is something wrong with 109 people

  • @Nkieffer000 yea it must be something with them...they must be possesed by something...same at anneliese michel :S

  • @Nkieffer000 109 people SHALL NOT PASS!!

  • Today I remember, in his 120th birthday, to one of the most important writter of the last century: J.R.R. Tolkien.

    (Sorry for my bad English)

  • Happy birthday, Tolkien, the father of modern fiction.

  • even this awsome trailer doesnt do the film justice

  • Happy Birthday Tolkien!

  • Thumbs up if you went to watch the trailer after watching the Hobbit trailer

  • @ChampGilga1 HOW THE F... DID YOU KNOW? :O

  • @ChampGilga1 hahahahaha holy shit your good

  • those 109 people are uruk-hai

  • I guess I just don't get the appeal of this film. I just tried watching it for the first time and fell asleep then woke up to be bored once again.I find these These fantasy type movies quite silly.

  • @expos73 It does take a bit of an investment and suspension of disbelief. Sorry to hear that you're not liking it. It's popular but still not for everyone.

  • Wow, this came out when I was in first grade. I'm watching the trailer now just imagining what it would be like if I saw this trailer play before a movie at the age I am now. I think I would literally freak out in the middle of the movie theater (which is pretty much the reaction I had when I was at school and found out about the Hobbit movie).

  • I was wondering why AOL was up there... then I remembered that this was ten years ago and AOL was still a relatively big deal. Dang. These movies are so timeless I often forget just how long ago they were released.

  • The film's score wouldn't have been written by the time the trailer was released so they had to use generic trailer music. A bit of a shame, because the film's music is iconic and very powerful

  • Question. Do the three movies do justice to the epicness of the book? I haven't read them yet. The movies are awe inspiring none the less, just curious.

  • @andyt1313 Tolkien did very a LOT of work on the books. He created languages, and did so much. In my opinion, the movies did justice to his work. They followed the books well, and the changes made were agreeable and understandable (e.g. they left out some characters in RotK that would've confused the viewers a lot). So much effort was put into LotR to make it closer to Tolkien. How many writers/producers would make the movies so long? The movies are beyond words! :)
