the K&N FIPK was the first mod i put in my car, and IMHO, the best bang for the buck <$300. The biggest improvement for the money would be gears. If you want to know what a K&N FIPK will sound like, just take off the cover to your stock airbox and drive around for a bit. Also, a SC w/ installation & tune will run about 7 grand.
I'd like to eventually mod my S to include either a supercharger or turbo but seeing as this is still my daily car, it's probably not the most sensible thing to do right now!
I am thinking about including an induction kit such as this though. I've read it gives an extra 10hp or so. Is this true? Also how does it alter the sound compared to the standard intake kit? Thanks.
No it doesn't, they have the exact same horsepower rating which is 247hp (237hp North American version due to lower compression). The F22C has more torque, which is how it achieves the same amount of horsepower with a lower redline.
@Snowmoto i have an ap1 and as sad as i may be...including all the other ap1 owners, it rates more whp but only a race will determine in =p ap2 has more torque so reasonably...it will win
How about losing the music & revving it out properly?

@xxnissansilviaxx Deff. AP2, look at the tach, its has the semi-circle engine temp and fuel meter on the right, beside eachother.

oh wait....i can see that you cant go 0-60 in 2nd gear...you need 3rd..so from 0 to 60 the ap1 wins LOL...im a hater

on the street it depends on the driver when it comes to same car vs same car....
Snowmoto 2 years ago
@XxxXVick what race is 0-60? usually they end over 100mph.. just sayin....

sniper1334 3 years ago
well if you go get it dynoed you would know they have less than 237hp.
aimxless 3 years ago
Well considering the 237hp is at the flywheel (for both cars), that's absolutely correct. BOTH Ap1 and Ap2 make right around 200whp.
sniper1334 3 years ago
nope the F20C has like 5 more the F22C has a bit more mid range torque.

F22 tend to read higher on a dyno!, search at s2ki(dot)com
