Um, this car is an IIHS top pick. That means it has to have the highest score for every test (Front, Rear, Side) and have ESC....and that's a harder test to pass than the NHTSA test shown in this video. Don't believe me? Go to the IIHS website and see for yourself.
but you have to remember that NHTSA sled is moving at 62kph whilst IIHS sled moves at 50kph so that added speed on NHTSA sled puts a greater force on the dummies in the vehicles that is why you normally see a lower rating for a vehicle tested by NHTSA while it received high marks from IIHS.. But NHTSA doesnot look at head injuries that much unlike IIHS that is why people tend to look more at the IIHS result than NHTSA , but to me NHTSA results for small cars are still good enough to look at
I was more referring to the frontal. The IIHS does the offset, NHTSA does the the head on concrete barrier. Regardless, the Sebring is not one of Chrysler's best but I hope the replacement for it is much improved. And thanks for all your videos, I'm a subscriber.
I don`t know much about how the airbags works but I have seen crash test were the airbags dont the caught on B pillar....and about the car...the car is good I like but the the airbags seem cheap because of the transparency and the front side airbag is hold by a string....so I really can say if I am 100% right but it is just what i think about the car. Though this is good car!
Passanger side injuries for the Thoracic Trauma Index are just to high for a car in this century and 3 stars is not acceptable for a car this size...I have seen small cars do better...though the fron occupant ratings were good!
This is a car at 45 degrees and they drive the barrier at 45 degrees meaning it is a perfectly calculated t-bone smack. Results mean NOTHING!
Drive another car into it at that 45 degree angle of the receiving car and let's see the real data when it FAILS!
There are three lies, "small, medium and statistics"

Chrysler really needs to add padding in the doors. The structure is plenty strong enough.

The side airbags looks cheap like they were not that efficent in protecting the passangers and it kinda got stuck on b pillar i think...
