@matthouse078 while this is true; by raising the truck you have less material to touch the ground....most the time when a diff is grounded the tires can still pull it off but if the frame or body gets grounded its seemingly much harder to get out.
It's the japan off road vehicle=(mam get her kid to the mall and dad plays at little mud and the american way dad try's to brake It at rocks and play at rocks and the jeep answer ggggggrrrrrrrr voum voum next terrain pleas
im not gonna lie, i have a lot of respect for people who off road with stock trucks and jeeps. thats what i do! im not gonna put thousands of dollars into my chevy just to off road, why cant i just get stuck and have fun doing it?
sexy rims. i bought a yj for 300 bucks and had the same rims. theyre worth about as much as i payed for the whole machine lol. now to get that engine running...
When someone says a vehicle is "stock"... they mean that the vehicle hasn't been modified in any way. In other words it's still running on only the parts that it was was sold with. But stock usually means small tires/ really bad ground clearance and less power then you'd like, so that's why people modify...but those people that have sense do so within reason.Best to not exceed 6 inches of lift w/35's for trucks,it'll mess with steering and turns trucks from manly to giraffe. And you tipover easy
That is a lot of gas for rockcrawling, you will break parts for sure if you keep on the throttle like that.
Get some lower gears , put a locker in the rear air down and have fun with it.

i dont understand the point of raising a truck or jeep, the differentials still hang low
matthouse078 7 months ago
@matthouse078 bigger tires would raise the diffs wouldn't they?
branjmb 7 months ago
@branjmb yep yep, change the gearing.

Gulches ORV park in South Carolina... forget what number the trail is.

What trail is this? I want to take my XJ there.
GrindMachine 3 years ago
it definitely doesn't have lockers, look at 1:18.
Even if its not completely stock it did awsome on that obstacle.
And an fj would have easily gotten high-centerd on that.
sasquatch955 3 years ago
Does anyone know the name of this trail?
jeepkid8695 3 years ago
Ok... for one this is definitely not a stock jeep... it has a lift and lockers from what I can tell just by looking at it.
charlied1771 3 years ago
yep that's why you only see one wheel spinning on the driver's side most of the time...
