  • I have to say, I prefer the original opening theme to this one.

  • This and OHMSS are the only Bond films that deserve to have "Ian Fleming's" right before the title.

  • @nouvelle43 i believe its the great Frank Sinatra ( many people are suprised that i know him and like his music since im 16 )

  • out of all the bond intro songs this one is the worst :(

  • @doctorw2 It's actually the outro song in the actual fim. The intro is a different, instrumental version of this.

  • @doctorw2 It's the outro song in the actual film. The intro is a different, instrumental version of this.

  • @doctorw2 HAHA! What the fuck? FRWL is highly regarded as one of the finest James Bond films of all time. Brilliant story, great cast and an incredible theme song. Listen kiddo, go back to watching these new James Bourne films, because this was real James Bond.

  • @TaffTalk i am not talking about the film only the song the movie is very good the intro song is terrible.

  • @doctorw2 How the fuck can you call this song terrible?! "Die another Day" by Madonna was Terrible, all that synth-pop crap, "All Time High" by Rita Coolidge was direst and cheesy to the point of nausea. Matt Monro was one of the biggest names in the 60's, the whole song is epic (in the true sense of the word) and classy, very much setting the tone for future Bond songs. It's all very emotional and raw, from the age before auto-tune. Either A) You just have no class or taste or B) You're a troll

  • @TaffTalk the song is slow and boring now nancy sinatra, and shirley bassey and tom jones they sung songs that fit the james bond movies exciting, bold, and explosive!

  • @doctorw2 "Slow and boring". I guess you are the person who see's flashing lights and high notes and get's wet. The subtle emotion and the lyrics of the song matched the whole Cold War plot of decoders and double agents. This was the holotype for every other Bond song to follow. I think you must be one of the very few people to dislike this piece so fervently as to look it up on YouTube with the sole purpose of leaving negative comments. I feel sorry for you that you dislike this masterpiece.

  • NO MORE ADS!

  • my 2 favorite Bonds are Connery and Brosnan my 2 favorite movies are From russia with love and goldeneye also goldfinger a close 3rd

  • The opening is much better with the song ;)

  • is this opening sequence original from 1963 or was that added later? it just seems really modern for that long ago, especially when compared with other openings from the time...

  • Un très bon interprète avec une excellente musique.

  • La forma de presentar la pelìcula siempre se me hizo espectacular y ùnica.

  • and Roger Moore's the worst Bond in my opinion :P, even Timothy Dalton's Bond is way better

  • this is Sean Connery's Best Bond Movie EVERRR

  • my favorite bond theme song. c'est un tres magnifique!!

  • the tune is so like harry potter!

  • @Skorphie It's really not.

  • Thanks Chadkoon. ... i fly to you form Vietnam with love.. My favorite Bond movie song.

  • Thanks for doing this. I love this song, cuz even though it's soooo bad...it just...I don't know, pefectly captures that era & that era of these movies...

I actually watched FRWL a few years ago, & was dissappointed the (bad but still somehow cool) lyrics weren't there, @ the beginning. So thanks again.

  • My favorite Bond movie still!

  • Sean Connery was the definitive Bond, there's no doubt about that in my mind. But I like Daniel Craig's interpretation for the 21 century. And as much as I wish it were otherwise, Sean's a bit long in the tooth to do the role today.

  • @coyotesong he could be Q

  • @coyotesong I don't know, Craig kinda like a hitman, not a english agent.

  • @MayChild8 Ya know, that was sorta my first take on him in this role But he grew on me.

  • Great Great song sung beautifully by Matt Monroe, but this version of the song appeared in the movie and in the End Credits at the end of the movie not as the Opening Theme Song which was the instrumental version of the song.

  • @7Lukibi99Tore7 Matt Monroe? i thought it was Frank Sinatra, the voice sounds much liek sinatra but well wouldnt be the first time two people sound alike. ( he im 16 many people find it a wonder that i know and like sinatras music so dont be upset if i am wrong, i just think it is sinatra )

  • @CallicoJackracham No, it's definitely Matt Monro. Frank and Matt do sound alike, but there are subtle differences. If you listen to Matt's other songs you'll notice that this theme song is sung by him.

  • @CallicoJackracham Matt Monro sang this and the itallian job theme... but i did notice today for the first time tha they sound alike!!!!

  • This sounds fantastic through my hifi speakers !

  • @Blauweolifanten.............Pierce Brosnan is NOT the best James Bond! The best James Bond is undeniably Sean Connery. George Lazenby would have been an excellent Bond if he had played the part in more than one film. Roger Moore unfortunately tried too turn the films into comedies, and Timothy Dalton was too brooding in his portrayal of Bond and spoke his dialogue through clenched teeth. I have not seen Daniel Craig in the part but he does not look like what Bond should look like.

  • @7Lukibi99Tore7 Dalton was going for a Bond based more around the novels and Bond is described as a blond in the novels.

  • @7Lukibi99Tore7 I cant believe your judging Daniel Craig just because he has blonde hair, its not about what he looks like its about the movie, Casino Royale was one of the best films?

  • I'm still wiping the tears from my eyes at the loss yesterday, January 30,2011 of John Barry. This is John Barry's magnificent arrangement of Lionel Bart's superb song. How sad that we lost Matt Monroe on February 7,1985 and John Barry yesterday. All James Bond fans around the world are forever tremendously grateful for the many years of listening pleasure these two men have brought to us with their magnificent music. God bless you both John Barry and Matt Monroe. R.I.P.

  • @7Lukibi99Tore7 just listen to the real stuff.. straight from russia, and ur tears will be wetter..

  • I'm not a Bond fan but this title and Matt Monro's beautiful voice would entice me to watch this early Bond film...:)

  • A great song by a great singer. Thank you for sharing your music.

  • My favourite bond movie and my favourite bond actor. I just love the simplicity of the story, set mostly on the train with the villain trying to outsmart bond through subterfuge. I loved that at this stage SPECTRE was still very much a mystery and Blofeld was still an untouchable faceless villain.

  • @bellis84 It was still "very much of a mystery" and Blofeld "a faceless villain" only because both appeared in a later novel, "Thunderball". And yes, Sean Connery is THE Bond of all times. Gheorghij

  • Ian Fleming's book was one of the best of all of the Bond films. The ending is NOT LIKE THE FILM. You will need to rush out and buy the next book in the series ("Dr. No"; yes the films did not follow the original book sequence) to find out what happened to 007.

  • the soundtrack fits pretty well lol

  • 10 people were screwed over by the Russian airlines

  • @xbadboymusx Or 12 people prefered the original with no song put on it.

  • @deusirae76 that too :>

  • pure genious ;]

  • Great idea and superb implementation! "From Russia, With Love" will always be the quintessential Bond film, IMNSHO...lol..

  • Great idea and superb implementation! "From Russia, With Love" will always be the quintessential Bond film, IMNSHO...lol..

  • Legendary title sequence by Robert Brownjohn

  • without a doubt the best bond movie

  • Intelligent Bond film -proper espionage and spying-Shaw and Connery have so much charisma in their scenes

  • I just saw this movie last night. I could swear I saw Frau from austin powers! Lol. Number two gets poisoned.

  • i bought this movie but the song isnt in it!!

  • @ar2014 its at the end briefly while they are in the canals if my memory serves me correctly. i just saw it 2 days ago so If im wrong let me no. Hope that helps

  • @Dave7oddjob yes i know, i mean that the song isnt at the opening like this vid

  • @ar2014 sorry, thats not how it sounded though

  • i get gossebumps when i here that little violin part at 2:01, its great

  • Russian Love Song

    Bruno Mars VS.DJ JAY-P & Wowa(N) - Just The Way You Are

    ( Russian Version Remix )

  • wow 99jerseyboy you know nothing about music or james bond songs, Thunderball is a much better song than this one. If you had a brain you would realize that you retard. Listen don't talk while your thinking.

  • @bums77 or mabey he has an opinion

  • Smoooooth vocals. Better singing than Tom Jones' Thunderball, although I do like that one too.

  • By far the best Bond theme song, along with "Nobody Does It Better".

  • Comment removed

  • Sean Connery's the best bond of all time!!!!

  • Yeah but now he's old, so not good as bond ;)

  • @sandy000000004 Dr. No the face expression did not go with the dialogues but in from Russia with love he was just just superb.

  • I love the classic's. They don't make them like they used too.

  • Buen tema gracias por subirlo

  • This and The Spy Who Loved me are my favorites.

  • Song was appropriately placed in the film> on radio on river and at end credits as a follow up to brutal climax.... but the film's momentum works better with John Barry's instrumental version, even with the campy electric organ.

  • lol I have the soundtrack for this and the game but not the movie >)

  • damn now I cant wait for next bond movie to come out damn MGMS bankruptcy

  • Most russian women buatiful? Not with hairy legs they not!!!!!!

  • i love this song just like the movie

  • Ted Moore...lucky guy. Not everyone gets their names emblazoned on someone's ass.

  • 0:23 BEEEEWBS

  • Thank god John Barry took over the music responsibilities after this.

  • Why the bloody hell has a James Bond video turned into a which country has done what debate? Every country has made a contribution into the disgusting world that is the 21st century.

  • @Communismcomrade Its good to know someone's brain is working lol

  • @Communismcomrade You have the perfect username for that debate.

    I agree with you.

  • Love the movie but can't understand the game because the evil corperation had the octopussy logo

  • Fukin WOW! This dude could sing. Fuk what anyone says...BRITS RULE AT EVERYTHING> I did my history and they invented tha modern world. NO COMPARISON or ARGUEMENT.. HA amerioca is only a creation of Britain....without tha CLASS!

  • @Geddajunior lol I just seen your comment....could you sound any more arrogant lol

I aint gonna lie the British have created great inventions Im British myself.

But so have the Germans (atomic research and of course the great albert einstein)

The Chinese have done their fair part in studying chemistry and other sciences in the past

Not to mention the Greeks and their inventions of physics (the word physics comes from ancient Greek) and of course the Egyptians and their research of astronomy.

  • @grant11102 Ha `okay I may have sounded arrogant. But it's mostly true and I am sick of sposed to feel bad for being English.

Ha yeah German Jews like Einstein the stinking Nazi Germans turned against.

Oh and that nice totalitarian China....lol...nah give me England ANYDAY. We got our faults...like we keep getting told...but we are Fukin brill.

I know all about Greeks,Egyptians,...I'm talking about NOW.

Whats wrong with being proud of UK FFS?

I saw your channel dude and I'm with you 100%

  • no one is a bigger fan then me i have the rifle

  • This song is beautiful, and From Russia with Love is by far the best bond film.

  • very very good

  • rite - no shit. i saw this doc 'bout nixon ping pong politics and the only thing he saw 'bout that was this film (dunno 'bout kissenger)

  • simple but effective video

I love the rythm of this song, reminds me a little of some very sexy tango

  • peejay1954 & kellyadmirer 1

Inded Mat Monro is one of the greatest Bristish singers ever.

The theme of film "The Italian Job" is absolutely beautifull...on days like these !

Mat Monro, just like Bond movies, will forever stay in the minds of people who heard him and watched the movies. They are both beautifull monuments to ageneration that is aging.

  • Great song by Matt Monro....perhaps THE most beautifull of them all, followed closely by Nancy Sinatra's "You Only Live Twice"., theme of another great Bond movie.

Sean Connery was always tghe best of all Bonds, and Danielle Bianchi ( Italian and passing for Russian ) was the most beautifull of all Bond woman , so far. And let us not forget the "mean guy", the great actor Robert Shaw.

  • classic

  • einer der besten james bond songs!

  • Wow, this is very sexy *o*

  • @Entemagico Back then, Bond films had class

  • One of the best Bond films and openning song.

  • is this is key of F or G? I have two James Bond song books that say two different things

  • @Bigkumar1015 sounds like its in D minor mate, at least on my guitar ^^

  • Matt Monroe's finest effort

  • @kellyadmirer1 habe you heard "on days like this" from the Italian Job ?

  • Who sang this again?:P

  • Nicely done ! Thanks

  • I want Connery back in the Bond role!

  • @nuldum James Bond in his retirement

  • @nuldum

You do know Sean Connery did return in 2005 to voice Bond in the From Russia With Love. He was the only returning actor to voice their character sadly.

  • @nuldum would suck if he started now.. a dead james bond would suck..

but i know what you mean :)

  • @EmilxLollipop Are you aware that Sean Connery is still alive...?

  • @nuldum Sorry dude the only role he could actually fit i anymore would be Q

  • @nuldum he's a little old don't you think?

  • @nuldum We may have to go back in time and yank him into the present. Although I do have to say even in his advanced age Connery still looks pretty tough. His 007 films are great and even a style all their own.

  • @nuldum He's been ask to play the bad guy several times... but nothing happens.. and he is almost 253 years old.. but no one like the first Bond

  • I LOVE 007

  • Can anybody help me - I remember a DIFFERENT version of "From Russia With Love" - it had a similar but different melody and I think women were singing it. Is it on this soundtrack?

  • Could it be "You only live twice" by Nancy Sinatra ?

  • @Henkbvo Yes, that is that song I was confusing with this. If you sing the words "From Russia With Love" to the melody of You Only Live Twice, it works perfectly because they both have the same amount of syllables. Try it, I actually like it better! Thanks

  • Nice video.

  • This song makes me so happy :)

  • These opening credits always made me feel funny when i was a kid

  • @daniels1938

Agreed! I saw the movie on its first release in 1963. I was 13 years old at the time and that undulating bellydancer with the titles wafting over her - all in hot close-up definitely helped with my sex education..........! Say no more!

  • so creative of brownjohn to have the credits projected onto human bodies, works a treat.

  • Personaly I feel the new bond movies are far to Hollywood...with huge explosions left Right and centre!!! I liked James Bond more wen he was more Human...theyv turned him into a Bionic man almost...hes mor like the terminator...just cant / wont Die!!!lol

  • This song is Gorrrrrrrrrrgeous!!! I loooooooove it.

  • My favourite Bond movie and a truly wonderful song

  • From Russia, with love

    I fly to you!

ive seen places, faces, and smile for a moment

    man...i miss Russia D:

  • the classic opening is really good..

i wonder how did they make it that time? it was 40 years ago.. no computers, no cgi etc.

  • @Peacelover1212 A projector is playing over the top of the performers.

  • @joriahG well, i know about the projectors.. ^^ but how about the text? and the opening in Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton era?

  • My favorite of the Connery Bond films.

  • Matt Munro; my fav Bond song.

Also, check-out Robert Shaw (Jaws) as the baddie, "old-boy"..

AND Lotte Lenya as 'Rosa Klebb' (dagger in shoe) Lotte Lenya was the real-life wife of 'Kurt Weill' who composed the song 'Mack The Knife'. Listen to the very popular Bobby Darin version and hear him sing; 'Don't forget miss Lotte Lenya' - a nice tribute.

This was the first Bond movie I ever saw with my brother when it was first released. It's still wonderful. The new Bonds don't have the same stuff'.

  • Same here! 9 in '63 and I was most interested in finding out what this "new spy guy's" number was. Ditto on the (can you believe it?) one time (in the early days of Hitler's Germany) very hot and sexy Lotte Lenya???? She and Kurt had to flee, they were Jews!

  • i find the opening of the classic bond movie really nice and it is a part of bond

  • Do not mess with Russia, believe me, Love

  • you did a good job. from russia with love in the first real title sound show . i would offer you an oscar

  • Broken, but not beaten. from russia with love. we will meet again.

  • We're broken too, and getting broker by the minute. pun intended

  • We will not remain broken for long, my friend. Love.

  • If you would listen closely at 1:05 you will hear chipmunks at background talking. Listen closely :-) Why is it like that?

  • As many times as I heard this video I never, I never heard that. Kudos for paying such attention.

  • holy shit, that's a bit scary...

  • omg i hear it too... wtf?? ahahaha

  • @abbeymanila Chipmunks or Jawas?

  • i didnt hear it either after listening from 1:00 to 1:10 about 30 times...

  • the best bond movie

  • @kolol20042002 Yes, my favorite and IMO the best Bond flick ever.

  • @kolol20042002 Not the best Bond movie but the best Bond theme song.

  • @kolol20042002 No Goldfinger is Gert Frobe is fantastic in that he is sinister and evil and i love him

NO MR BOND I EXPECT YOU TO DIE!

is there any line that is more well known than that in russia for love they have a sterio typical brit who keeps on saying 'Old boy'

  • @MINIHermanator the character isn't a Brit he's pretending to be a Brit

  • @thenowuk Now i see why Bond got him so quick he was like no one over here speaks like that and bang hes got him

  • @MINIHermanator yep-that and the incorrect choice of wine!!1

  • I'm so confused! Why are there Arabian bellydancers in Russia? o.o

  • boy you need to learn history first, this is sssr not russia.

  • Belly danceing is a traditional Arab dance that has become popular all over the world.

  • Watch the freakin movie

  • Remember the gypsy camp they werent russians probably moved there from an arab country

  • Why not?

  • F**ck this money lender zionist RIAA, they removed all the other music. Yes I know, they are protecting the dead artists, but I guess rather their millions.

  • because the original was in the 60s and computers couldn't manage full screen animation , or even colour then..

  • Both bits of music work for the opening I think.

  • The music in the proper intro is better I always thought.

  • Now why didnt they just do this in the original? Morons.

  • Saw Matt in Bredbury, Stockport in 1973...Great artist....

  • horrible and dull... the original instrumental theme was kick ass... except for that electric organ, that was pretty campy...

  • campy !!!!!!!!!!! This is Matt. Ones of the best recording artis ever. get real.

  • Names Connery, Sean Connery:P

  • russian women most beatiful women in world!!!

  • and most complicated.

  • I agree!

  • @valpanig

    yea but they're NUTS!!

  • @valpanig tatiana romanova AKA daniela bianchi isn't russian, she's italian. nevertheless, thumbs up :)

  • Good song, but this is not how the title sequence is in the movie! Where's the instrumental version!

  • The best song of JB and the best movie!
