Remington does import them the problem is the screwed up gun laws in America. It's almost the same issue when American Goverment ban China's guns. From what I understand the NRA is fighting this to have Baikal arms come to America. I hope they can do it because I would like to have a Baikal.

Bueno, look forward to seeing it as I now have an SPR18 (same rifle under Remington name) and could not figure out how to adjust sights, even the rifle range people couldn't figure the front sight out.

I found a cutaway diagram. Is the level under the trigger just cock it? Can you break it open by just grabbing the barrel and pulling down?

From pictures I have seen it has no external hammer, is that correct? So it cannot be carried with a round in the chamber and uncocked?

It has a internal hammer so you have to carry it cocked and the safety on.
