You actually do not need a double o four throttled joystick.You can configure in the options menu so that on your keyboard you´ll have a button for engine 1 and another one for engine 2.This way you can control the throttle separatelly.
I use a single throttle Saitek Evo, but thanks for the suggestion. And yeah, I guess it is rather relaxing as opposed to most of the other "high pumped" IL-2 vids here
In a turn you can also throttle forward with just one engine; left engine if you want to turn right or vice-versa(instead of using the brakes).Nice relaxing video btw.
You drop your flaps before you start rolling even? I usually drop flaps only when I've picked up some speed and just before I start pulling up.
