  • U2 is the eighth wonder of the world.

  • @TheCanadaGold2010 No they replaced the 1st

  • this on my headphones when i leave home at 6.30 a.m. ...going joging....

  • Norman Mailer`s The Executioner's Song.

  • awesome stuff their 80's work was unbelievable.

  • the bestttttttttttttttttttttttttt i havehair goose

  • @DJceci98 Have you tried waxing?

  • such a dangerous-sounding song. like a rusty blade.

  • These guys are the real deal. There aren't many bands that can back up their own music. U2 is really amazing. From their first albums to their latest cd. U2 has continues to stay relevant. Exit is one of those songs that is raw emotion. To those out there that complain about the band being vocal about things they believe in or even more vocal about the things they believe are wrong in the world. Is this a bad thing? I think this world would be a better place if more people did the same.

  • It saddens me that people who are so busy bitching about Bono's activism or U2's more Top-40-friendly hits from the 2000's will never give this a chance and see how versatile U2 is and how HARD rock is an essential part of their arsenal.

  • They get a lot of stick these days but at this time they were truly great.

  • now that's how it's done

  • straight from the dvd of rattle and hum.....great version though

  • I found a live performance of this song awesome!

  • Adam is so cool

  • Shows how amazing U2 are live, play loud, cant believe this is in 87!!!!! Sup it up Coldplay!!

  • Shows how amazing U2 are live, play loud

  • i like the edge ´s hat

  • fantastic song. And this is by far the best version of "Exit"

  • This will never get old... The feeling expressed through music.. Fabulous.

  • magnifico....

  • So very atmospheric, what a build up...

Love U2 more if they weren't so big headed about it all ;o-/

  • Wow. I'm so glad that my father got me hooked on this music. Its timeless.

  • The hands of love!!

  • 2:10 is the best part by far, when edge comes in!

  • MAn the 80's WAS SO kikass !! MAn JOshua Tree is Flaweless ! YEH One of their BEST ! how could yu not like it ?The lyrics the beat... To me this is a true U2 fan song>

  • The instrumental aspect of this song is ridiculous. The drumming is superb, the consistent thumping bass line, and building guitar clash. Brilliance, coupled with Bono's glorious voice, one of the best aspects of Joshua Tree.

  • best song on the Rattle and Hum album or what?!

  • this must be the opening song of the next concerts!

  • That's the most relaxing intro I've ever heard

  • @andromeda99239 u r right mate!!!

  • =P antojable jajajjajajaja!!!

  • I love all of u2 music videos plus the rattle and hum movie also. I'm even a very big fan of u2's and I've even ben talking to bono at home and at work so i don't want to hear any bad staff about them.

  • Edge's little guitar diddy at 0:43 sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it.

  • i never forget this concert....my first vhs u2 live.....1991 of corse....i remember this concert like my first life....and that song make my happy always...u2 is the bast band all world ever...u2 u2 u2 u2 u2 u2 .portugal loves you ever

  • astonishing rhythm by mr edge

  • Tidy boyo

  • this blew my mind

  • this song makes me think of jim Jones the leader of the People´s Temple

  • one of the hardest things to do is to organize a "playlist" of u2 with less than all their songs...

  • it sounds faster than album song

  • When you listen to this on TJT you get the sense that it's a brilliant song that they haven't quite got to peak.

They manage that here though, right enough.

  • I've seen van halen, u2, rolling stones, jimmy hendrix , santana, the who, led zeppelin, elvis, my late father took me to see the beatles but I don't remember, oh I forgot marvin gaye, diana ross and the supremes! all in San Diego-now most bands don't come here, economical consequences. THE CRISIS CONTINUES.

  • With Where the Streets have no name, I will follow and Sunday bloody sunday the best song of U2

  • I'd give my left nut to see Metallica cover this song

  • i ALWAYS PICTURE THEM AS SOLDIERS GETTING READY FOR BATTLE WHEN I HEAR THIS SONG!..JUST LOOK AT ADAM AND EDGE!!! .....FREEDOM!!!

  • pure chills

  • I don't know how to describe the greatness of this besides it brought tears to my eyes the first time I watched it. Crazy good.

  • One of the few songs that sends cold shivers down my spine.

  • I need my fucking speakers to go up louder!!!!

FUCK this song needs to be played up as loud as it can go.

  • @Georgikinz Fucking agree, this song I seriosly can't play loud enough, it's like there is a spirit in the song just demanding me to.

  • Powerful, mystic, strong... U2 knows how to transmit energy through their songs. I have to stop whatever it is that I'm doing if I'm watching the Rattle and Hum DVD. Specially if this song is on.

  • EPIC. this is unbeatable

  • Do it again.

    And make it l o u d e r. `;}>

  • A constant crecendo

  • This is, without a doubt a masterpiece. Its one fo those songs that really grabs you when it opens up and just builds, builds and builds. Its awesome.

  • Bono is so sexy!

  • bono has many different faces on stage this is one of them in 1988. Why can't U2 play this track more oftern.........................

  • A pity that it doesn't get played more often. A true gem from The Joshua Tree

  • What Bono says after Gloria ? She something

    Thanks in advance :)

  • @zypick The lyrics at the end: Gloria, G.L.O.R.I.A.

  • @zypick He says Gloria G-L-O-R-I-A.

  • this music is really cool ;D

  • there are simply no words..awesome, epic, magic, chemistry, dynamite, in four guys from Ireland/// I am not from Ireland but proud to say I have Irish running through my veins

  • the beginning as awesome...gives me chills. hell; the whole song is amazing! Edge's guitar playing is epic, Bono's singing is amazing, and I love Adam at the base. (no idea how to spell that :p) U2 is great, and this song is one of the many many things that prove that.

  • Eight people are obviously retarded. Edge is just epic.

  • Drummer looks like Van Damm. Also,is The Edge somehow connected to Edge from WWE?They got the same damn name.

  • The Edge + Les Paul = ... Give me some words to explain how AWESOME it looks and feels and sounds and and, you know...

  • it's live a thousand times better than on the record.

  • Is bono actually even playing the guitar here? Is it turned way down? I can't really tell. At most he plays just the 1 chord anyways and then does some feedback shit? Which I can't hear.

I'd be pretty concerned with not messing with Edge's shit if I were him anyways.

  • great, greater, u2!

  • Man this is awesome

  • epic...

  • The Edge..enough said

  • At 0:45 Edge clams that riff a little. Tits tune though.

  • exit is from "the joshua tree" album actually

  • Love this song, really love it.

Probably have to be my fav, The Joshue Tree is my fav album as well.

  • Best U2 song.

  • Not such a big U2 fan but this song is so good and oh so dark !

  • BEST BAND EVER

  • adam clayton really shows his prowess as a bass player in this little ditty

  • @79mojorisin Why does The Edge get mentioned in all of the Greatest Guitiarist lists? He has the best rythym section in the business. Also, only an irishman could play a bass sooooo fucking black. We're talking Muscle Shoals black!

  • This song is epic..it really needs more views

  • By far, the best U2 song ever; the dynamics, the effects, one masterpiece; wonderful(:

  • There is so much power in music... This song shows it perfectly

  • Although this song doesn't sound like a Springsteen song, it feels like one; which of course is a huge compliment.

  • lindo lindo lindo

  • G-L-O-R-I-A..............SING IT !!!!

  • This video is the personification of why U2 are one of the greatest rock acts of all time.

    EPIC

  • the bass is awesome

  • they arent U2, this song is very heavy metal music, I hate it, I like one or with or without you

  • @petrucciado Hey dude.. It's cool that you don't like this song. But I think one of the thing that's really nice about U2, is that they've changed style during the years, and accepted that it's not just the way they make music that's nice, instead of like a band such as AC/DC or Metallica almost making the same music for 10 albums or so, U2 has been experimenting, something better than others, but I think that's what music is about, experimenting, and being open-minded to new things..

  • @petrucciado lmao this isn't even close to heavy metal!!!! it's just a rock song.

  • this is the song that said to me that u2 are a really great band, that was back in1989.

  • @jaon1969 Sadly this band had disappeared :/

  • @jaon1969 it was 87

  • Just bought the DVD for like 3$, and I'm so glad I did cause it's such a flawless masterpice, and I absolutely loooooooooove it! !

  • My favorite performance! They have amazing charisma all the time, but here it SHOWS!!! The edge is working that guitar for all it's worth.

  • F*CKING AWESOME song...this is U2 at their best without a doubt. Love it love it love it.

  • lol, I was expecting a different Gloria!

  • the edge is a brilliasnt guitarist, if u like this song then ul probably like bullet the blue sky by them, edge deos an amazingg guitar solo half way through

  • BIGGEST AND GREATEST band of all time.

  • It's annoying that there's nowhere to download this. I mean, I have 'Exit' from The Joshua Tree (which is much slower paced) and I have the original Gloria song by Van Morrison, but I really want this version. Oh well.

  • @TotalKO1 get realplayey plus and you can download this onto there then after put it on your mp3 easyyyyy

  • @TotalKO1 Buy the DVD "Rattle and Hum".

  • @TotalKO1 search Listentoyoutube on google and use that website! So easy haha i use it all the time...

  • Comment removed

  • @TotalKO1 type video2mp3 on google, open the first link, then, take the link of this video, and put it on the video2mp3, follow the indications and you will have this song on mp3.

I hope it will be ok, bye for now

  • tthis is where the true u2 fans stand out > This song Is da shiznit > EPicLe ALrite classic ,,,,,edge goes nuts :P

  • EPIC EDGE !!!!! Still blows my mind nearly 25 years on.....

  • so much combination in the beat aswel...well done u2

  • the hands of love...quanti ricordi questa canzone...

  • U2 should make more songs like this one XD

  • This is one of the most mightiest U2's songs besides many others like Bullet the blue sky for example. It is sad that todays Lady gaga-generations don't have clue that such kind of songs even exists,U2 forever

  • @ssdivizion Today's generation is all but lost. Here is a duo of today's generation. Search these videos:

She & Him: In the Sun

She & Him: Don't look back

Sounds a lot like the Carpenters doesn't it?

These eras of great music will forever be printed in our souls.

The shit that fills the Mainstream will always float to the top.

  • huh...

@0:50 and @0:53 when Bono does the Oehh!! Ahhh!!!

the Oehh gets repeated (delay), and here the Ahh does the same. But on the Blu-ray the Ahh doesn't repeat xD

how the hell is that possible? xD

love this song, love U2, love the music. I'm from the Lady Gaga generation, but i'm definitely not from his fanclub :')

  • @Thompsongast cos' the delay scream should be a post-production by Phil Janou, lost in the blue ray version... Phil Janou is the film director of this legendary Ruttle and Hum, I think is one of the best movie-concert ever...

  • @ssdivizion shut the hell up about lady gaga. it's so BORING. does every fucking video have to mention her?

  • @ssdivizion

Totaly agree !!! Todays people dont know what it means to right a song. This song has so much heart and emotion in it and still a great song into the bargain that no young studio musician could ever emulate. The band blow me away ever time, always, No one else has done that to me since 1990, and the, U2.

  • @ssdivizion Im was born in 1995 and I feel so bad for my friends who listen to that stuff... they have no idea what good music really means

  • @ssdivizion Hah, nor do the most of them care, they pass off everything thats not the newest thing off as trash. Its pathetic, its like people dont know how to think for themselves or even feel at all. It makes me sick. Yet, Im stuck around them.

  • @ssdivizion you just spoiled your nice comment by mentioning that 'strage criature'...come on now..

oh hail Bono...oh hail Bono !!

  • @ssdivizion U2 AND Led Zeppelin forever! Can we settle this?

  • @ssdivizion People who want to listen to good music will find it.

Stop worrying about those that want to listen to the latest Pop, they don't have taste, that's their problem and you won't ever convince them otherwise.

Much like religion "I am arrogantly believing that there's a white man in the sky!" brilliant. Well done.

  • the first time I heard the live-version at the cinema I felt in love with the song...it was 1989...a long time ago...f'*?* i´m getting old!

  • Before Nirvana came out with the quiet verse/hard chorus formula in the 90s, U2 had already done it in '86.

  • @dookiebot SInce when did Nirvana come up with that? Led Zeppelin did it as well/

  • dude you guys have no idea who and what this band and their older music means

  • @dagrubster1 I hear yah ! most people in this post dont even know who U2 is really. ive been a fan since "Under the blood Red Sky" was released on cassette ! todays generation think U2 is stuff like..."Vertigo" and "Get on your boot" hahaha really funny and sad at the same time. they have no idea what there missing and how far ahead of there time these guys really where,

  • larrys drumming is epic on this classic !

  • Absolutley stuning... This song is perfect....

  • The bass line is awesome either !!

  • Great song

  • so cooool

  • wow.

leave it up to bono to make lyrics to already an amazing music piece.

he makes things just better than they are.

no 1 word can describe him

  • god-like in this song

  • This was my favorite U2!! just so intense and pulled you from your soul! Amazing!!!

  • i think so as yomathu

NLOTH album is as this quality, but most people are not ready for it! :)

  • @quakez23 you're completely right. NLOTH is fabulous! But it seems people wants more discotheque rythmn...

  • B.A.

  • u2 will allways rock on 4ever

  • Love how Edge builds it up on this version

  • Who are the 6 people that don't like this? Sick

  • this song gives me the chills its such an adrenaline rush for me

  • so ahead of their of time

  • What a rush of power! Awesome song!

  • completely another kind of band in 87

  • The Edge is such a badass.

  • @witchypoo71 WHAT? he is the best guitarist in the world. the voice is so epic!

    the best

  • what a performance by Larry Mullen jr!
