  • after listening to the album version loads this song sounds pretty good :) and the early plug in bay lyrics after this are cool to :)

  • They should make a song with this refrain O.o

  • It sounds so sincerly... so truly and heartly... I like this lyrics much better than album version.

  • Don't get me wrong, I ADORE the PIB riff, but this is just...

I dunno. I feel something with this.

  • The best Muse song

  • I was I was born 1997! But anyways luv muse and love this version!

  • Someone quick! Make a cover of this!!

I love this version too and I wish there was a high quality version...

  • I love this version, I wish they'd made it into a high quality b-side

  • n_n

  • estoy obsesionada con esta version :D

creo que la escucho todos los dias

They come anywhere, anywhere in my head cose im tired of thinking ♥

  • Hahahaha he looks like a right nerd in the first picture. xD

  • i might like the demo better

  • M0:00RE BD

  • matt always talked about how they got high on shrooms and they wrote this song but obviously it was written long before that. He just put the riff in and changed the lyrics and because he was high they didnt make sense

  • The voice had changed so much. How I miss this.

  • It gets bad around 3:12

  • think second line is: "they pinned me to the floor"

"they give me to her floor" doesn't really make sense

  • @Gdh1091 true your right it is pinned me to the floor

  • just like the songs of pablo honey of radiohead

  • most beautiful demo ive ever heard till now

  • @TheGreenAvenue ♥

  • jesus, you can tell there is no manson there...

  • Now we know why they can't seem to explain what Plug in Baby is about. They made it so early, they changed it a million times and it just became a great and globally admired song with an amazing riff.

  • @TharrGuardian Internet pornography, I reckon :P

  • @explosionoff61 They started making it before most people even had internet :p

  • Old- skool rock version ;)

  • love the outro

  • wow.... that are history!!!

  • This song either shows muse being more 'grunt' (remember the this is from the days this was a popular style) or they were musically less developed (or both), because if you listen to this, you hear much more simplistic and repetative chord progressions than in their later work. It kind of makes this a bit more boring to listen to, is my (personal) experience.

  • @PowerRedBull Grunt music? It was called grunge.

  • they should re-record the old versions of their songs

  • now I understand why he said he was high when he write this

  • @eduard0369 does he say that in an interview? if so what interview?

  • @TheResistanceLuv well on muse wiki says all the information about it, try to search it :)

  • @eduard0369 ok, thanks a million! :)

  • have anybody the chords?

  • I think this is the greatest early song they ever recorded, I kinda prefer this version, but i'm glad they didn't go with this musical style, as it just seems to similar to almost any rock song, and i love muse for there diversity in there songs and uniqueness. Plug in baby, all versions will always be one of my favorite song by muse.

  • Glad, Matthew's voice is all grown up and evolved now :D Love Muse!!!

  • OMG FIRST TIME IVE HEARD MATT SING SLIGHTLY OUT OF TUNE

  • Can anyone else hear a bit of glorious at the end?

  • porcoddio spacca

  • that is crazy :D :D :D

  • WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THIS :(

pleasee let me know thank you :)

  • @getoutofmybusiness the song or the video??? because i know how to do it

  • I love how this has very little thats part of the current recording but it's still clearly the song.

  • I would love for them to re-record this now.

  • @gatsuuga64 I would buy it!!

  • I do find it awsome to see how their songs developed in time. Now Plug In Baby is one of the best songs with incredible guitar riff, and, for what it's worth, it's my favorite one. I love the oportunity to hear the previous version of it :D

    Thanks for uploading this :D

  • Outro is epicness xD

  • i wonder how this version became what we know now its really strange how the song writing process works

  • I want the "outro" tabs now ):

  • anyone know the exact chords?

  • This is actually amazing! They should play it live!

  • omg i love this version!

Real Muse as it should be! <3

  • It really doesnt sound much like the final one, but i likes it :)

  • the outro is just...new. love this one too

  • weirdly i prefere this to the real thing ...

  • I love the part about machines and never dying, it's awesome!

  • they should play this orginal song first then go to the current one at a concert. the fans will go crazy lol-

  • anyone have tabs for this ??

or could someone make some :O cos this would be ver popular :D

  • @chebaka4 the guitar tab seems to be just the chourus chords from the released version all the way through. for the epic intro its the same thing except for the string bend which follows the bass of the chorus from the original :P

  • @millnerclub cheers ;) should help me a lot :)

  • Question: Where did you find these pictures? :}

  • @Weirdbeauty94 I think I got most of them from microcuts(dot)net, the rest are probably from google lol :D

  • wow

    brilliant lyrics

  • part 2 lyrics: Electric love screens Have tempted me to jack it in Living lightly They come anywhere here Anywhere in my head I'm tired of thinking I never meant to love these machines But they obey my commands adeptly I will never ever die In their circuits I can survive Can you hear me I'm tired of living
  • can someone give me a download or somethging? awsome version!!

  • for me the lyrics doesent co operate if you know what i mean

  • Fuking awesome!!

  • dude sick lyrics

  • Yeahh, whenever I hear the actual version I always sing 'god was in me' :D I prefer that lyric =/ Ah well, early muse ftw, late muse ftfw :D

  • I do the same thing lol. I prefer the old lyrics to the new. I'd give anything to hear Muse play Plug in Baby the old way. I have two or three PiB songs where he sings it the old way. You should download them sometime!

  • @jackle9 I have quite enough Muse in my Itunes for the moment I think.. It currently rests at 1067 songs+video's lmao. So I've probably got a few early versions in there somewhere ;)

  • to ever hear them play that last riff would complete my life

  • i love the outro

  • Im in love with this version, i love the chorus, the guitar, the voice, EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!

    gotta love early Muse!!!!

  • Ahh, cool, sounds different, but loverrrly :) x

  • Electric love screens have tempted me to jack it in. Living lightly. They come anywhere here, anywhere in my head. I'm tired of thinking. I never meant to love these machines but they obey my commands adeptly. I will never ever die in their circuits I can survive. Can you hear me? I'm tired of living. Oooh!

  • When I was poor and lonely they give me to her floor cause you're the only. I was tired of resting but I'm not even afraid cause you're the only. God was in me and I'm in virtual reality I'm tired of living. They come anywhere here, anywhere in my head cause I'm tired of thinking. I Never meant to love these machines but they obey my commands adeptly. I will never ever die In their circuits I can survive. Can you hear me? I'm tired of living.

  • God was in me? I thought matt was an atheist.

  • Matt has always implied in interviews that he his an agnostic/atheist. That is he believes that there might be a supernatural power but cannot say what form it takes.

The line "God was in me" in this demo does not refer to the Chrisitan God if that's what you're thinking.

  • Comment removed

  • @citizenerasd89 that was quite a cool respomce coz of the smart feel in it ha ha lol x my friend likes muse and he is sort of on the same line as matt when it comes to religion x

  • @citizenerasd89 hey unfairness that was a long time ago maybe it was just lyrics to him

  • @YourDailyLaughz It's not like artists who don't believe in a God can't reference the idea.

  • @YourDailyLaughz I'm atheist and i use hell and apocalypse in a few of my songs they sound more powerful

  • @YourDailyLaughz it means he is god, dah

  • Never heard this before, pretty weird how the song progressed.

  • They worked on this song for so long! No wonder it is one of their best n_n

  • i love the "I never meant to love these machines" parttt <3<3 its so fucking great!

  • This is truly amazing! Muse had been working on this song for at least 3 years! No wonder it is such a great song. The lyrics "God was in me" were part of the early versions of "Plug in Baby". Hope you guys play the early version again some day. Rock on Muse!
