  • BLA BLA BLAAAAA move to the point!

  • Oh shit, you know the job is ridiculous when the air traffic controllers have controllers....

Wait, no, that's just the uploader being stupid.

  • i have this problem in suvarnabhumi. (bangkok) it is so hard to follow with all the call signs etc. I feel for this controller. I bet after he fixed the mess he didnt even have time to get a coffee and take a breath. Without these great guys none of us will take off. Good job

  • Well, when the pilots don't do what is expected. This wasn't the controllers fault entirely. He is just trying to sort it all out. And that tangled up mess is , well, a tangled up mess.

That is why we don't need more air to fly around in... or more electronic gobbledee gook. We need more runways and more airports.

  • ATC "I am all screwed up!" You certainly are, what an embarrassment to the ATC profession.

  • Actually JFK airport had a big accident because of air traffic controllers like this, it's known that they intimidate the pilots, an airplane once got out of fuel circling around the airport and the ATC refused to grant them the landing, but the final report is, the ATC must be professionals and they must not put pressure on the pilots, they should communicate in an effective way!

  • Plz..some help.

What means when they say "follow"?

And r those airplanes on air or ground?

(I'm not a pilot nor controller)

    Tks in advance!

  • Comment removed

  • @paleceumacolneta these planes are on the ground, you are listening to the component of ATC called "ground control." When the controller says "follow", he is telling the planes to taxi behind the plane he is telling them to follow, either to the runway to leave or the ramp.

  • the workload is just massive...thought there is a screen where he can see the flight number....

  • be afraid, be very afraid

  • i didnt hear this:

    and the BEST for last:

JBU707: "Kennedy Ground, good evening, Jetblue 707 we've got Hotel, and we're holding short of Hotel - Alpha"

    Ground: "Who is that?"

    JBU707: "Sir, that's Jetblue 707"

Ground: "And you're WHEEEEH, and you're doing WHAT, short of WHO?'

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA, and Ground's laughing though half of his transmissions. Priceless

  • JESUS JETBLUE, Y U GOTTA FUK UP!?

  • Cool Ground Controller. I salute u. Hehe.. : )

  • @shutdafakap - this guy is outright dangerous. Hopefully he has been fired. There is nothing cool about this, the standard ICAO phraseology exists for a reason.

  • Very busy aeroport. :)

  • They said AF11 Heavy not AF11 Super so it wasn't an A380 right?

  • I never used to be afraid to fly. Now because of this vid I am TERRIFIED!! LOL!

  • Iber... you you guys should come up here one day youd really enjoy the show :)

  • This guy is clearly overwhelmed with ATC communications. He's just the simply dangerous faillure of the system able to make additional accident factor in trouble situation ! ThHIS IS JUST AMAZING SCARY, no other thing to say.

  • Im the 104,702th viewer! I have to say that is funny as hell! To Bad MSP (Minneapolis St. paul international KMSP) doesnt have this controller.

  • is this real? please reply

  • @wtficantgetausername

Sounds like a typical day at JFK. Should be real ;-)

  • listen @6:05 , its just so hilarious, he says yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaap

  • @mraltay10 and the tower controller says: you guyz should come up here one day ahahahhh

  • Ah the joys of commercial aviation. Can't wait to get my commercial rating!

  • i wish to see simulation what was going on there as i can not imagine all that mess

  • Could you imagine being this confused at work every day? I think I would end up in a mental hospital

  • Christ. Now I know why it took my last flight so long to get to the runway

  • Did he just belch? HAhaha Im lost american 1332 trying to get to the beach. Out of beer in the cockpit as well. need a delivery at alpha.

  • oh no the old Pan am terminal seemes to be disused in frame 6:28. I've never been to JFK but as far as I am concerned it's a landmark for JFK, needs preserving as it has a lot of history

  • "You cant just...you cant just do that guys"

  • No wonder there's problems, that ATC guy is actually the sloth from Ice Age.

  • Ha! Come to Heathrow!!

  • You guys in the tower have your God damned hands full . . . . .I suspect it must be like this all day, every day and night,

  • Ah ha ha ha ha , you can't do nuthin with that plane of yours , too damn funny man !

  • Its always JetBlue! Lol

  • bet this guy didnt have a job after this one.

  • He is absolutely correct. "Youz guys should come up here someday!" :-)

I survived 40 years in and out of Kennedy! Most days it is a mad house out there!

Insane traffic, horrible weather, one of the oldest and worst planned runway and taxiway combination and pilots from all over the world who simply cannot comprehend the machine gun instructions of the over worked controllers.

I always appreciated their sense of humor and professionalism.

  • i wish you had a taxi diagram onscreen for this.. or like a taxi diagram with animated planes lol that would be AMAZING

  • lmao this is fantastic

  • If this controller didn't have a NY accent, this wouldn't be as funny lol

  • it is stressful , yes. lives are on the line.

  • One of the most stressful jobs in the world

  • Sound just like the controller in "Miracle on the Hudson". Amazed at the chaos, why don't they have cameras everywhere so the controller can see them?

  • WTF !!

  • Imagine what it's like at Heathrow. THats the busiest airport in the world for international passengers.

  • @fube432 Since when??? Maybe Europe but not the world...

  • do you know what is needed, a computer which is able to measure air traffic and gives suggestions to the air traffic controller, this can provide a more efficent system with computers regularily getting info from planes.

  • Looks like we got us here a convoy.

  • Oh dear. Another day like monday.

  • The last one isn't even on it...

  • brilliant i love this guy.

  • There's new yorkers for you.

  • LMAO I think these guys intentionally did this to this guy xD Imagine what he said when he went home to his wife:

Wife: "How was your day honey?"

Guy: "Don't...just...I sleep need it now"

  • SEE YOU AT DUTY FREE LMFAO

  • Taxi drivers are better pilots!lol

  • I think you guys got this wrong!! ---This is'nt ATC.

This is the local Taxi service

  • 5:11 for HUGE burp . my god o.0

  • I am completely new to this - do these guys have some kind of map in front of them so they actually where all the traffic goes? I know radar wouldn't help on the ground so... The controller appears completely overwhelmed, I know I'd be. Did he manage to clean it all up, or did it turn into a deadlock and these had to be pushed/pulled around by tractors?

  • Who's on first!

  • Quite alarming. Aren't these guys supposed to stay calm and professional? He's getting all worked up, and that's when even more mistakes are gonna happen!

  • Is that Brian Griffin at 1:00?

  • Are you guys watching Air crash investigation? It is clear that this guy is overwelmed with trafic, and that ATC system is OLD and dangerous. Guy keep asking and forgeting where is witch plane, it shuld be all on his screen. It is not some unknown small airport in Zimbabve, it is one of the largest and most traficed airport in the world.

  • @OttoVonStrunf I agree. This is true for even where I live, Hong Kong. There is a surge in air traffic, it is a global phenomenon. The conventional Air Traffic Control System is aging, and over burdened as it was not designed to handle the amount of traffic we are facing today.

We demand alot of efficiency from our Air Traffic Controllers, they are just as important as the pilots flying the planes as they too are responsible for the lives of many.

We do need a better system.

  • @richboy2307 And as far as I know, A new system is being implemented soon. its called. Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast, or ADS-B

Will replace the conventional Radar Identification system.

  • @richboy2307 you are correct!

  • @witcherdude Thanks. =)

  • @CorrOboRating I'm a fresh riddle graduate ! Unless you have ANY idea wtf it talkin about stfu ! I'm a controller myself and you have no idea what it takes !!!! Old and dangerous? We have the most sophisticated advanced equipment that if you even SAW THAT ``screen`` you would puke! A controller is never overwhelmed with traffic, just moron pilots ...

  • @gibso35f umadbro?

  • @OttoVonStrunf Just so you know, when controlling ground traffic, you don't have a radar. You might have ASD-X, but for the most part, all planes must be visually identified.

  • @OttoVonStrunf

In FRA / EDDF (Frankfurt Intl) aswell as EDDB / BER (Berlin-Brandenburg Intl) they're currently implementing such a system - should make things much easier for the controllers.

  • @OttoVonStrunf You do know that this guy (Arnie) was fired from JFK then fired from LGA shortly after?

  • I fly out of a controlled airport (KFWS) where there is usually little traffic. The controller feels that he has to say it fast for some reason when there is no reason to be in a hurry. That's the typical ATC mindset for some reason. Can someone please explain to me how we got this way?

  • This age old problem could be solved if EVERYONE could do one thing and one thing only. S L O W D O W N!! We're not capable of doing this though are we? I see everyone, especially ATC being on this big ego trip; we have to say it fast and if you can't keep up with us then your not as smart as us and should not be in this business.

  • sounds like one big cluster f*** too bad there wasn't a video to go along with this

  • 191 likes. in honor of Delta 191

  • Woo Hoo for 50,000+ views :) Thank you all for watching :)

  • ...pick a free one and go for it..

  • @fvlr Lol.If only it were that easy.

  • Poor guy on ground.

  • Picture at 3:35 Was this some kind of fire? I remember being pushed back in a BA 747 when I suddenly saw lots of smoke coming from the terminal in April/May 2011.

  • @MrAviator12 Lol.Dude, this video was uploaded in 2010 so I doubt its the fire you may have seen. But yes,it is when I think there was a fire in some parking lot..a few cars caught fire or something..or maybe this was TWA hangar Fire..not sure though.

  • @richboy2307 Wow I feel stupid that I didnt realise it was uploaded in 2010 haha, but thanks anyway :)

  • i can't believe that this isn't trolled, but i'm still adding this to my favs :D

  • @Roserade Haha,Thanks dude :)

  • This is real. This dude works ATC at JFK. It's not even worth faking.

The lead controller at JFK sounds like he's kicking back in an armchair while directing things...this dude is his more hyper controller.

  • lol "see it takes so much energy"! LOL

  • sorry Part 2 :P

A lot of the AC Jetz 320's leave from the North GA Apron at YYZ. There are no US customs facilities there, so by flying to JFK, naturally, they would be able to clear customs there.

I work for AC ;), struck me quite a bit aswell when I heard AC on the Mic. I do happen to know it is legitimate though because I have heard this fellow quite a bit on liveatc.net. hes on a few videos around youtube aswell

  • @TEXANAUS, your absolutely right. Although AC does fly NY through LGA. It would definately have to be there Charter Division "Jetz" which carries the same callsign. ACA stopped the use of JFK sometime early 80's I believe, just after the bill was passed that CDNs traveling to the US must clr customs in Canada. Which allows Canadian Airlines to travel to LGA as there is no US customs facilities.

  • Someone should have just called in sick that day LMFAO

  • Absolutely correct Air Canada does not fly into JFK nor does Jazz (their regional airline). BUT this could have been a Charter flight for Air Canada. I find it amazing too that Air Canada has no presence in JFK BUT they do fly into LGA (LaGuardia).

  • @Superwhicked I assure you this is 100% real. : )

  • Comment removed

  • @Superwhicked Why? There are so many Air Canada Flights moving in and out of KJFK each day and most of them are from Toronto. Just google it up or look at some JFK spotting vids. You'll see the proof. But what makes you think there are no Air Canada flights at KJFK?

  • Comment removed

  • @richboy2307 actually... they recently discontinued this route... no idea why since its a pree popular destination im taking it. But they did fly into there before. hence when this was recorded. so its real, but air Canada doesnt fly there anymore. Believe it was cancelled April 1st, 2010

    Source: Air Canada + Wikipedia

  • @richboy2307 see the JFK website...Air Canada is not listed...

  • @TheJjumper Yeh I noticed that. Earlier, there used to Air Canada in JFK,but in autumn 2010,all JFK flights were moved to La Guardia. So yeh,but at the time this was recorded, i.e sometime in March 2010, Air Canada was still operating to JFK.

But anyways, thanks for pointing out :)

  • @Superwhicked Looks like they flew into JFK until about Spring, 2009 when they split flights into JFK between LGA and EWR. Got that from airlinersdotnet. If you google Air Canada JFK EWR LGA you should be able to piece together what happened.

  • you're unable to do everything sir that plane of yours sir....

  • @airplanecrazy1989 you need another plane LOL

  • Ahaha, wish someone would put up a live stream of Dubai's ATC, crammed airspace, experienced controllers, tight zones, middle eastern regulations = funneh conflicts

  • TAM8081 Heavy, um brasileiro além das fronteiras

  • Easy, they should install cameras in each Victor, Charlie, Alfa, etc, so the Ground Controller would see whos there

  • embrearrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • " You guys should come up here someday" LOL!

  • it's good to see that even the ATC can have some fun, instead of only doing the serious things :)

  • JFK controllers always sound like "Vinney" from Saturday Night Fever with the attitude. Only in NYC !!

  • ATL is an airline pilot's best friend.

  • JFK seems to have the most problems with ATC . I hold my breath everytime we land there.

  • oh my throbbing skull

  • "Ugh...You guys should come up here one day"

  • This poor guy, he is hilarious. "Jesus, Jetblue." LOL! Talk about a bad day at the office! I don't know how these guys aren't sniffing glue when they finish a shift. God love 'em.

  • @ 6:58 Ground " i told you to go where you are?"

    Jetblue "exactly"

    that´s my fav

  • At 2:50 you can heard the laugh in the background

  • Yes you can, how nice!

  • The guy at 0:00 sounds like Peter Griffin :D

  • Who's on first?

  • still cool to hear that the ATC keeps it cool and funny, with all his frustration

  • 0:26 he sounds sexy

  • LOL! this is funny but this could been a big accident!

  • Lol! "This takes so much energy guys" XD LOLOLOL!

  • There's a lot of doubling on the radio, do they have a way to know that's happening ?

  • Sounds like a nightmare, does it ever get so snarled up the aircraft can't clear the runway and they have to stop landings?

  • THIS MADE MY DAY!!!!! i haven't laughed this hard in a long time!

  • no you cant just do....you cant just do that haha!!

  • "Delta 929, Just follow the Hawkah."

"Okay, uh, well, the Hawker is 2 planes in front of us."

    "GREAT.."

    xD

  • PML this is brilliant!!! hahahaha

  • Haha the pilots are like the ATC's kids!

  • Comment removed

  • JUST FOLLOW THE FREAKING ATC INSTRUCTIONS.

  • He sounds like a gangster lol.

  • Jesus JetBlue!

  • It's funny how the controller talks to the pilots like they're all kids.

  • Love this :D

  • I love the sarcastic nature of JFK controllers, they know what they're doing...

  • On 1:13 you can see an EL AL 747-400 from the left! GO EL AL GO

  • ive heard this like 20 times!

  • @JazzAce340 sir you need to calm.down and look at the stress level he is under and knowing that stress i can say you have to do wjatever you can to make the stress not kill you. and i get it you hate America well you know what you aint nothi g sir

  • Oh lord, the frustration ...

  • Is it always like this?

  • How much are these ATC's paid. I'm sure they are paid a lot cuz its a tough job to do.. esp at JFK

  • @JazzAce340 Based on my blah blah blah, and I conclude that you are one sad fucker. Have a nice life.

  • @JazzAce340 Wahhh waahhhh, go cry a river!!!

  • @JazzAce340

Well, i think its just the controller style, Like at my local airport, there is a guy that jokes around a bit, then there is a guy that is 100% professional. I'm sure there are controllers like that in the UK somewhere.

  • @JazzAce340

Well, clearly we are doing something right. I mean, if it was really that bad of a "Zoo" airlines from other countries wouldn't be flying here.

  • @JazzAce340

I don't even see how you could say that, from "experience". Your not a pilot, I bet there are worse airports than JFK. Even in the UK!

  • screw this..im flying to lga next time

  • JESUS JETBLUE

  • I now realise that when an American describes something as "funny", it turns out not to be

  • @sootcase I am not american.

  • sound like peat griffin (atc guy)

  • do u think act sound like peat griffin

  • "You guys should come up here one day." LOL!!!

  • Is it just me or does the ATC sound like Peter Griffin???

  • Should have an animated airport diagram,it would definitely help!:D

  • No surprise Jetblue is causing the havoc, I should know, I work ramp for them at JFK. LMAO!!!!!! I love it.

  • lol my favrite part

    "Jesus Jetblue!!"

  • All of these Piolits sound really young! lol. Great video. Really help me understand how hard it is to be an air traffic control guy! lol

My fav part was when he was like

"Ya right.. Wait whos bravo short of victor?"

    ""Delta 929 sir""

"You didn't even move yet then.. wha...wha...who...who went outta sequence here?!?!"

  • @ManIhTwoLinJay

    Lol! I agree.

    Thanks :)

Must we must commend the work of these controllers as it can be very frustrating, especially at important hubs and airports, So hats off to such people for keeping the Air Travel Safe for us.

  • never heard anything close to that... what a mess ^^ oh btw, am i the only one who thinks the controller in some parts sounds A LOT like homer simpson?

  • all the pilots and the confusion makes it sound like a bunch of kids at daycare lol!

  • HATR?

  • Should have an animated airport diagram ... lol

  • Your unable to do everything sir in that plane of yours sir

  • i would have loved to be on a United plane during this mess, so I could hear the controller real time

  • There's no such thing as ATC at JFK..... its ATC Xtreme!!!

Its amazing how good these guys are.
