I just could not find the ride enjoyable with that very loud annoying exhaust tone. I rather enjoy a peaceful back road in the country ride. A quite one. Besides, this is PA, there are very few asians around here.

Haha. Yeah, I know what you mean. While I haven't had a loud exhaust before, I have had a CAI on my car and after a few months I was getting sick of the sound. I'm still planning on getting an exhaust for my bike even though it'll probably get irritating at times. But I really want people to notice me. I've heard too many stories of people being smashed into just sitting at a light.

@TheTKDSpartan With a slip-on exhaust system, it doesn't significantly alter the breathing characteristics of the machine. However, if you were to put on a full exhaust system, or you were to change the intake system, or both, that would significantly alter the whole fuel to air ratio, and in that case you would need to re-jet, because you would be running way too lean with the stock jets.

Hey man I have a 2009 250 ninja, and if he is 6'0 and 280lbs i would highly recommend for him to get a 600, its going to feel more right and comfortable and in the long run he won't have to worry about upgrading for a bigger bike, ya know what i mean. But either way the 250 is a great beginner bike, but it's not as good for bigger guys. I would strongly recommend getting the 600 and practicing on a dirt bike first. At the end he will feel more proud about his bike. But good luck man.
