True, Ryu rarely has an ending (or character development) that amounts to more then 'I must train more and fight more people!'

And that bland karateman look of his predated Street Fighter 1 actually, those where around in the 8-bit era, if not before.

In spite of all this I don't really hate Ryu, (although he DOES have way to many clones of him in the series.) Ryu should always be a part of Street Fighter (not sure about any of the other shoto's though.)

But yeah, he's not that interesting.

Originally, Capcom was actually planning on removing all the old characters, but the fans got mad when they heard Ryu and Ken were being cut out, so by popular demand they stayed.

Ive played alot of fighting games, and I have to admit Gill is 1 of the toughest bosses ever. I think the 2nd boss Ive found that difficult to beat was the Joker from Fighter's Destiny series. SF3 ftw!

Interesting. From what I've read, Seth isn't an overpowered character and he actually sounds like he has a steep learning curve, but I've also read the boss version of him is much stronger then the usable one.

Seth is the new glass cannon! He's got the worse HP in the game, he can get dizzyed from one good combo. BUT if you play good defense he can crush just about anyone. I didn't notice if the boss version of him is diff...
