At the beginning of the video... That red daira kills me every time! I can't get past him. I suck at this game and I'm thinking about quitting.

I always call this area of Death Mountain the Ruins of Ganon's Lair. What's so funny is that you can smash the left rock of Spectacle Rock that used to lead to Ganon's Lair into a million pieces with the hammer to find that the whole dungeon is almost completely wiped off the Underworld and what remains is a single Magic Jar. Also the memorable Ghini Graveyard is here. Sadly you can no longer access the rest of Zelda 1 Hyrule.

@Blackdrake1 that area is the rest of zelda 1 hyrule, look at the shape of the lakes, the location of the woods where the lost woods were, the mountains to the north and west, the ocean to the south and east.

Watching this video just made me realize something: the stones in my game never stayed broken. Each time I passed the graveyard area, between entering towns or random encounters, I had to break that one stone ...

@milashiv Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are nothing like a Zelda game either, nor is the Spirit Tracks for that matter. <-Opinions. Zelda 2 just expands on Zelda1 with some new ideas, just like any of the Mario games.  Also, this game is't uber hard. Every enemy has a predictable pattern of attack and movement. If you keep getting creamed somewhere, take it slower next time, watch your enemies and be more carefull when to attack, block or sidestep. You have very precise controll over Link.
