  • The FIA killed it off with all the other over 3 liter cars..

LeMans 1958 -1959 could have been OURS!!

  • The Scarab was unbeatable in 1958 as the SCCA National Champion, they even defeated Phill Hill in the Ferrari 412MI at the Riverside Grand Prix for sportscars in October of 58', the Scarab's last win was in 1963 at Road America with Augie Pabst driving, one of the greatest front engine sportscars of all time!

  • @2007Colonial I saw Augie drive a Scarab -- thinking it was this one? -- at Road America a few years ago on a vintage meet.

  • Is this not the most beautiful car ever built?

  • @studebaker58 ya, she is a beauty

  • i know this comment is lame, but in that special case: DEAR SANTA...

  • @McVerne Good one!

  • The original Reventlow Scarabs never had very good luck on the track, but they were always stunningly beautiful.

Thank you for resurrecting one of the all-time automotive beauties!

  • BEST CAR EVER.

  • That's some loud ass car

  • @blizard0717 heck ya! ;)

  • is there a company who makes a Kit? My Daughter would look great driving this car.

    she is already a Babe.

  • @keefer2111 pervo?

  • I saw those cars race. It was at Meadowdale International Raceway, just outside of Chicago. The drivers were, Lance Reventlow and Chuck Daigh. Reventlow was married to Jill St. John, Diamonds are Forever. About the wheels, you go back to the Indy Car roadster days, and a lot of cars had similar wheels. Hildabrand.

  • Continuation. Tee hee.

  • @jamesandrew2000 I'm serious , those guys got all the proper documentation and the care have continues VIN. Thanks for checking it out.

  • @thefavs Cool. The originals are great looking racers. Sad that road racing in America peaked back then.

  • @jamesandrew2000 I know, these days I watch GT racing, BTCC and of course Le Mans, that one is coming up 12 & 13 June, 2010 ;)

  • The car i would have liked to own....simply beautiful i think the rims are p.s engineering halibrand replicas.A shame you did not light the tyres up though.........

  • I'm trying to get the to film street run and track run, so hopefully get a burn out ;)

  • looks really good, but i bet its a death trap

  • are those wheels REAL magnesium?

  • I can't tell you for sure but I think those are custom made aluminum ones, but I ll ask the guys about is and let you know.

  • OK I found out, those wheels are aluminum. Thanks for interest.
